Everyone was very nice and conversation was great. There is a parking garage entrance right next to W's Finding a stylist who gets what I like and is excited to get his hands on my hair is like hitting the jackpot. For me #1 is the expertise and experience of the hair stylist, cleanliness, quality of products, and overall customer service. And I would give W's salon a 5 out of 5 on all those attributes. Everyone is friendly...easy to talk to. The salon itself is clean, trendy, well organized. Love the Kerastase line of products they use. The location although not among the primary criteria for me - is perfect...right in the heart of Santana Row. Parking is smooth ...quite a few parking options at walking distance from the salon. Ok, now let's talk about my stylist ANHEL she is super amazing...love her! My husband and I came here right after he had a nightmare of a hair cut at a different salon hoping someone could help fix his head. Thankfully, William saved the day and his hair was taken care of. My husband's cut was not only fixed but he looked incredible- I ended up getting a fresh cut too! The salon has reopened indoors with all of the precocious possible: plexiglass at the check in, temperature measuring, staff wears gloves/masks/face shieds, there a physical "walls" between each station, air purifiers going, and they even offer masks to clients so their masks won't get wet/dirty during the session. W's Salon is back!! I am so happy with my service with Anhel at W's yesterday! My "natural blonde" hair has been struggling with this nearly 6 month shut down, so I was elated that our county was FINALLY able to re-open the salons. The salon was immaculately clean, as it always was before Covid. During my service, there were just three stylists in there, including my own, and the front desk receptionist. Everyone was very socially distant and we were all masked up, as required. My stylist, Anhel, and the other stylists were also wearing face shields over their masks as an extra precaution. I felt very comfortable being there, and knew that I was in good hands. There is time scheduled in between every service to ensure safe sanitization takes place before a new guest arrives. Again, I am so so happy that I was able to enter a salon and get my hair done! I have been coming to W's Salon for 6+ years, so there is no place I'd rather support. I called a couple of saloons before a going to this one because they confirmed they have a stylist who can do a a line cut. i trusted them and went there only to spend 2 hours, have my hair cut so short that it looks like a men's hair cut and have NO A line shape. i had to pay $120 to look so bad that i have anxiety to go back to work. When booking with W's salon, make sure your confirmation email clearly states the cost of service. I mentioned I was attending a wedding, and when I checked out, the price had doubled. I have textured curly hair, and I've been afraid to get it colored but love the way I see girls with highlights etc and I've seen Anai's work. I decided to go in with reference photos and boy oh boy did she nail it! I had a keratin treatment and haircut at this salon a couple of weeks ago. I have this treatment a couple of times every year so I have a lot of experience with that. I did not wash my hair for a couple of days afterwards and have been applying only Lanza keratin shampoo and conditioner. To be honest, the stylist spent a lot of time on my hair but after only 2 weeks, my hair has started to get frizzy again. It was the most expensive keratin treatment I have ever had but I am not satisfied at all with the results. I do not recommend this salon for keratin treatment. read more

I've been coming to W's salon to see Jayden for almost 3 years now and I wouldn't have it any other way! I am willing to drive all the way down from Berkeley, so that should tell you how amazing he and everyone at the salon is. At W's, you're going to get 5 star service--after walking in, you're greeted, checked in, and a person will guide you to the dressing room and ask if you need any refreshments! Sometime I do have to wait awhile past the appointment time, BUT IT IS OK bc I know Jayden is going out of his way to make sure the other client is happy and that their hair is perfectttt. And he would do the same to you, so don't sweat it :) Jayden have transformed my virgin hair to all sort of fun--purple, peach, orchid, gray/silver, dark grey, pink, etc. and really edgy haircuts too. I never thought I could pull off straight bangs and next thing you know I was obsessed!!!!! A-line bob is also a thing and I would have never known otherwise! The best part is that he understands I'm lazy af so once the color fades, it goes into a beautiful blonde balayage. He will take the time to understand what you want with your hair and works patiently with you to get there (but you have to be patient too!) Kimberly is amazing, she did wonders to my hair! I found her through Instagram and looking through pictures of her work really helped me decide. I came to this salon with dark brown hair and went through a consult with Kim. She is very detailed with explaining the process and listens very well with what you want. I wanted to go lighter and started with a balayage/ombré, following up with another session of highlights and so on. Since my hair was dark it was a process to go light. She was able to work with my hair without crazy damage. She's great at haircuts as well, definitely gave my hair life again and the bounce/texture it needed. I leave the salon loving my hair! The front desk staff is amazing, particularly Phillip and Daisy! You are always offered a complimentary glass of red or white wine, water, or tea, along with a locker and smock. My favorite go-to-gal is Annhel. She is hands down a hair guru, from color to cut, to your finished style. She listens to your goals and provides realistic expectations, along with home care regimens and tips to extending your color and cut. She is known for her color skills! I between hair cuts I'll see Mark or Mikaela for bang trims and blow-outs. Each stylist seems to have a repeat client base, and all are super friendly and attentive. The owner, William, is always there working his magic, I have yet to get his magic hands in my hair! Their product lines are Shumura and Kerastase, both of which have done wonders for my hair. I'm in love with their dry shampoo, and just recently purchased their fiber architect by Kerastase. Prices very from 65.00 plus for cuts, 100.00 plus for color, depending on the rank of your stylist. I left a message for the manager of this salon to talk about what happened in hopes I'd be compensated for my horrific experience, but he never returned my call. It's been over a week so here I am. I made a consultation with Addri. I emphasized on 3 main points. My 3 biggest concerns. 1. I didn't want my hair fried. The health of my hair is very important to me. VERY. 2. I wanted it to look NATURAL. I was going for a natural blone. I said it multiple times and had photos of exactly what I wanted. 3. No orange. The blonde ombre I currently had had few, but some orange streaks throughout and I didn't want any in my new hair. Addri said the photos were achievable, that she could give me exactly that, & so I made an appointment for the following week. I came in for my appointment and Addri got started. I didn't refresh her memory with my photos, she acted confident enough that she knew what she was doing and gave me the impression she remembered me from the consultation. In retrospect, I'm pretty sure she didn't remember ANYTHING i had said. She simply bleached my head. Leaving my dark roots, my ends we're fried. I had orange all over. (Photos are posted) she overtoned my hair to cover up her mess, the orange, & it left the blonde parts grey for a week. I was embarrassed. I had to have my hair pulled back until i was able to get in to another salon for fixing. After Addri blow dried my hair my words were "i don't like it.." & her response was " i know." I KNOW. She obviously knew how shitty of a job she had done on me. I had been there for 5 hours. (Just sitting. Letting my hair fry) And she had another client waiting so she booked me for a color correction appointment which I would be responsible for paying the *something* fee. (I can't remember what the fee was, it wasn't for the color correction. It was a processing fee or something. . Anyways, i was expected to pay for it). Please look at the photos I posted. Because the work i got done here is a joke. Still waiting for the manager to contact me. I still want a full refund. This experience was horrific. read more

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Audrey at the front desk and she immediately offered me a locker for my belongings, a drink, and showed me where I was supposed to put on my smock. A few minutes later I met with Joyce, who was very friendly and extraordinarily knowledgable about all things hair related. I came to W's with outgrown highlights which had turned a dreadful brassy orangey color. (Never a good thing.) I told Joyce I wanted to dye my hair my root color (light brown) with highlights throughout in order to break up the color. She was so helpful in giving me suggestions and put me completely at ease. After about 2 hours of meticulous highlighting and coloring, Joyce blow dried, cut, and styled my hair. I was so scared it wouldn't turn out well but I was totally wowed by the end result. My brassy, streaky hair was transformed into a beautiful ashy light brown. After visiting many high end salons over the years in Los Gatos, Campbell, San Jose, and even San Francisco, I have finally found what I have been looking for. Joyce completely blew me away with her technique and artistic eye. I cannot wait to be back! *UPDATE* as of May 10th 2015 A few weeks after our initial appointment, I felt a need, obsession to be perfectly honest...to go platinum blonde. Why? Who knows. But I spent my days surfing Instagram and Google staring at beautiful flaxen hair wishing it could be mine. Luckily with Joyce these Elsa dreams can become a reality. It took two appointments spaced a month apart from one another, each with very tiny, closely weaved full head highlights. These appointments were each between 5-7 hours. Joyce is incredibly dedicated to perfecting her projects, and when we finished last night (last client in the salon!) I was in a state of euphoria. The color came out absolutely perfect...no chunkyness, no brassiness, and best of all, NO damage thanks to Olaplex. Just a beautiful, dimensional, shiny white platinum blonde that I was always tempted to try but only now trusted someone enough to go forward with. I've been coming to Jen Flandez for over a year now and I absolutely love her as my hair stylist! I color my hair a deep red and Jen has been able to give me gorgeous color that lasts, which is very hard with red hair. I never have an issue with copper tones or brassiness. Jen is very professional and personable every time I visit her and I actually enjoy getting to hang out while she is doing my hair. I got married at the beginning of September and asked Jen to do my hair and makeup as well as my entire bridal party. Jen was up to the task and did an amazing job (see photo)! We put in extensions the week before the wedding so I could have much fuller hair and it turned out nicely. Jen was very accommodating to make any changes/adjustments to bridal party hair/makeup as well as my own on the day of the wedding. I think it says a lot about her professionalism that she always strives to make sure the client is happy! My hair style and makeup lasted from the time she finished at approximately 1pm until we shut down the dance floor at 11pm; this was through sweating out in the 90+ degree heat and several hours of dancing (plus it stayed on for the after party!). read more

I saw Anhel and on the first session she took me to a very beautiful light brown and gave me a gorgeous balayage! Honestly I was very happy with the first session. It was where I wanted to be. I didn't even have to cut my hair that much. She gave me a nice trim and added layers. I was very pleased with my hair. She recommended these awesome products that are now my holy grail!!!
