I was advised these DYI mold tests are thrown out in Court, so I needed a legitimate test. Jenny was professional, timely, knowledgeable and patient. I called her on a Thursday, she was at my house on a Friday. The reports were exceedingly detailed and included photographs and the company credentials. By Friday afternoon (same day), Jenny called me to go over the findings. By Tuesday, I had a PDF of the report (Monday was a national holiday). She was patient in the process of me waiting to get the amount approved and never hesitated getting me on the schedule , rather quickly, when I finally was able to move forward. I also found the woman who came to be rude. I specifically asked her NOT TO CUT in prominent places and to please find corner hidden areas behind couch etc. She cut RIGHT IN VIEW from the from door when you first walk in. I have a photo of the tape not on properly and the powder, which contains asbestos on the floor below. I followed EPA advise and watered down before wiping off and disgarding the towel correctly. This review is WAY overdue. I purchased my first home in April 2018 and before I could do any remodel work on the property (like removing dated popcorn ceilings) I was told I must have the ceiling inspected for asbestos. After contacting several companies and getting quotes that were unreasonable, my mother told me I needed to look up Wycoff Environmental because she felt that they had not only better pricing than most companies but also that, Jenny, the Owner, was very genuine and educative when explaining the type of work she does and most importantly why she does it. I contacted Wycoff Environmental through Yelp, and they responded promptly to set up a visit to the property for a very reasonable price. Once on site, they were very communicative on how many samples they wanted to collect, where they were going to be taken from, and how long it would take to find out if I had asbestos or not. They were careful to only remove samples in areas that could not be seen to the public eye. This service was quick to schedule and complete. All hands on deck were present, informative, and mindful. The Clark County Air Quality Department put a hold on a minor remodel of a small commercial building because my contractor failed to get the proper survey completed prior to beginning work. I didn't know who to call, so I did an internet search for asbestos survey companies and found Wycoff Environmental. They had positive Yelp reviews so I figured they would be my first call. I called Wycoff Environmental last Friday afternoon to set up an appointment for Monday morning. Jenny and her team showed up on-time, were polite, professional and thorough. All material samples were taken, submitted, tested that morning and I was given the results in just one day. They also have a great working relationship with the government officials which gives me more confidence in their work. Jenny Wycoff of Wycoff Environmental truly saved my life. I had been living in a high-rise condo for 4 years and was breaking out mysteriously with chronic hives and exhibited respiratory issues. These were not issues I had prior to moving into the condo. I had been hospitalized several times and had the condo tested by another company a year prior to calling Jenny. The other company had popped a shower tile off the shower and taken a picture with an iPhone and pronounced my environment mold free. Back then I didn't understand the technical aspects of professional testing and had trusted the recommend of the building and my landlord. I went on to suffer for another year. When I called Jenny, my bird was half dead, I was broken out all over my body and having trouble breathing, and I didn't trust anyone at that point. After reading Jenny's many reviews and having researched her impressive credentials, I decided to call. At this point I also wanted to go with a woman business owner who would listen to my concerns and not blow me off, as I had felt with the last situation. Jenny squeezed me into her busy schedule and came over the next day with her staff and very impressive testing equipments. A big difference from the prior tester who relied on an iPhone and hadn't even tested the air. She did outside testing as well as inside, and explained her process as she worked. It was awesome, and I finally felt like I would get a correct assessment of my environment. Jenny was efficient, compassionate, knowledgeable and kind. She reassured me that she would contact me as soon as her third party lab had the results of my tests. The lab was expedient, through and detailed in its results. Suffice it to say, I moved out immediately upon receiving those results and have never looked back. This is the most unprofessional woman I have ever had to deal with in my entire life. She came into our home to test and advised the results would be in within the next couple of hours. When the results were not given to us, I contacted her and asked if she had sent them yet or not (as we cannot begin work until the results are in). In the process of trying to ask her, she began talking loudly over me advising me that she was doing me "a favor". She went on to say that she charges for "rush" service and normally I wouldn't expect to get results so quickly. That's great but that wasn't the issue. If you tell a client you're going to do something, don't tell them how much your "rush" service is and go into a filibuster rant when you don't do as you advised. In the end, she never answered my question and only served her own ego by ranting about nonsense. She then sends me a bill after several weeks and the bill is advising that we are past due when we had never seen or been sent an original bill to begin with. To make matters worse, she sends a follow up stating she intended to send this bill to our insurance company, but sent it to us in error. Even this was argumentative. I can't imagine how bad this woman is to deal with if you were forced to hire her services more than once. She talks over anything you attempt to say because she is extremely self important, defensive and clearly has no clue how to run a business. She is so argumentative about literally EVERYTHING that even my easy-going husband never wants to deal with her again. She cannot control her mouth and since she clearly has some serious issues she needs to address, she goes into every conversation raising her voice and talking over anything and everything you have to say. She anticipates what she THINKS you're going to say, talks loudly over you and the result is an endless loop of moronic proportions. Oh my what a Godsend Jenny was for me! I got in a bind in selling a house- the inspector found mold and freaked my buyers out terribly. The real estate agent for them was no help either, running from my house like his hair was on fire! I contacted Jenny to prove to me there was mold and she came and told me I didn't need testing, I needed remediation ASAP- ah knew these sites would fail the test ( you could see the mold when you looked at it just right). I asked her about the process and she explained why the remediation company does not do the repair to close the site up ( put it back) so and out side firm like hers can do real testing and there is no chance of tearing apart more than necessary as it's often more expensive to put everything back than tear for mold. So it's a way of preventing being scammed by excess work being done by the contractor. I was able to ask her about contractors and she was so helpful! I ended up hiring 911 LAS Vegas and after the work she was right on time with the testing and gave me clearance within hours by phone. Then came an extensive report with photos that called everyone down and allowed my house sale to move forward. Wycoff Environmental saved my sale and moved quickly so I could close.
