Well done! My family and I were looking for a good sushi restaurant. I found this restaurant on yelp. The rating was spot on. You truly are missing out if you haven't been here. My daughter has a gluten and dairy allergy. The Chef and owner modified the rolls that she wanted to accommodate her allergy and made her a custom ponzu sauce with gluten free ingredients - and personally delivered it himself to the table. Been waiting and waiting for a sushi restaurant to open in South Mountain, and my dreams finally came true. And it's everything I could have imagined it to be and more!! This place is incredible. The Sad Boy, The Pepino Roll, and The Xami roll(you get a fire show), are my favorites! Don't let the outside fool you, the inside is nice, clean and welcoming. My husband suggested this place so we tried it on a whim and I'm so glad I went with it. First off, they greet you with smiles when you walk in which is refreshing these days. Our waiter, Tiger, was so nice, helpful and attentive. This place doesn't look great on the outside but the sushi is amazing! We came in from out of town and stumbled upon this gem. The inside isn't fancy but it's clean. We ordered the rock shrimp to start off which was tasty. Rolls I highly recommend , Dragon Ball and Blazing Thunder, delicious. Came by for lunch on a Tuesday. We love finding places where the locals eat. If I could give 10 stars I would. The seafood was fresh, the service was great and the presentation was impressive. I lived in Honolulu for 15 years and was used to exceptional sushi. I was shocked how good sushi is in Phoenix. Xami us the best and I've tried a lot here. His fish is so fresh and perfectly cut and seasoned. I don't remember ever seeing a Chicken Teri roll before so I tried it. It was amazing! I know, Teriyaki Sushi? Crazy good.
