With an appointment I was able to be helped right away despite the woman who tried to push in front of me. Despite obviously being the first in line before the doors even opened. I'm mad that I agreed to having car detailed. It trally needed it though. He's a great salesperson.

The person who helped us appeared to assist us but also smelled strongly alcohol at 110 AM in the morning. The person was supposed to help us in closing out a former account and opening a new one but insisted we had to have all new equipment. The person was supposed to come by and install it after hours but never showed up. Now we will start over and go to the other store and see who can help us. We have a new account under my old name because the person said we couldn't use the name we already had, We have a bagful of new equipment we're supposed to change out from out 3 year old equipment but no one came by to do it. Luckily we did not sign up for automatic pay nor for giving out our bank account number which we were encouraged to do. The person lowered our monthly bill by a lot but who knows what that means. I've been here a few times now to pick up dvr boxes and another time to cancel service. Sometimes they helpful other times not so helpful. One time they stayed open an extra 10 minutes to get my service fixed so that was cool. My wife purchased an iPhone directly from an Apple store and went to the 915 Playa Ave, Suite B, Sand City store to get her current Xfinity Mobile number on an older iPhone transferred to her new iPhone. (It's a "Comcast Branded Partner" store.) The man she worked with said that was impossible to do--that the system didn't allow the transfer. He told her she had to get another line and another number on the new phone--and then he also sold her a "free" Android Samsung phone with a third number and additional line that wound up as a 24-month payout on a financing plan. She signed documents that he refused to let her see, presenting only a pad for her signature. I was furious when I found out and spoke to the guy--he was incoherent, could not answer my questions about why the "free" phone had to be put on a financing plan. We are old. We are not dumb. We were scammed. We've complained to Xfinity. AVOID THIS STORE OF SCAM ARTISTS. (It's easy to transfer a phone number from an old iPhone to a new one. Came in the store to return equipment and waited 25 mins until told to register to be seen. The app and online portal was not available for this service. While waiting another 30 minutes tow of three employees served a total of one customer each. One walked to show his one customer of the hour different phones and designs. So this is a review on the contracted people they send out to install your cable in your home or business.... So as if it's not hard enough to sit on hold to get just an appt with these fools, I had the single most laziest technician who just didn't want to do anything but the basic install. In earl March, I went to this store to try to lower my cable/TV/internet bill. The rep said I could get a new cell phone and keep my landline and I would pay less. I questioned him on this several times and he assured me I would keep the landline. WRONG! When I received the new cell phone from Comcast, my landline stopped working. I need my landline! I returned to the store and the same rep said he couldn't help me get it back and I had to call Comcast. I've wasted at least 20-25 hours with phone calls and chat sessions with Comcast trying to get it back. Once my landline was restored, my second TV cable box stopped working due to an error Comcast had made. I got that fixed but then my DVR serve got changed. Today was another 2.5 hour phone call to Comcast and it's still not right. Much of this is on Comcast, not the store, but If I hadn't been mislead by the rep in this office, I would have not had to go through this huge mess. read more

If you ever want to spend a day, losing your soul try going to the Xfinity store in Seaside and transferring your phones and watches from AT&T to Xfinity. Before we ever began, I explained 3 phones and 2 watches, and the watches have to be able to make calls - AWAY from the phones. AT&T managed this just fine. They assured me that it did. Here I am seven hours of working with them at the store, and 2 hours with their phone support, and I still cannot make a call from my watch or get texts from it if I am not near my phone. What irks me the worst is not that I was with a brand new employee who is trying his best, what irks me the most is that after six or seven times of his asking for help nobody took over my request. I watched as the assistant manager (whom my rep went back and forth and back and forth to) handled dozens of people coming in the door. How tough would it have been for him to take me over and leave the (obviously less complicated tasks) to the new employee? read more

Well, I can tell the Xfinity is upping their customer service at this location. I had been in here many times in the past with less than desired Le experiences. However, today I noticed a big change. Perhaps it is due to better management. It appeared tbat the manager on site was on top of the service game. He was maximizing efficiency with skill and friendliness. The service agents were all friendly and pleasant and also on top of their game. Don't even deserve the one star. DON"T sign up for the X1-Saver double play with the Ipad, because you WONT qualify for it. I signed up online 10/21/18 for this upgrade and noticed on the confirmation email (10/22/18) it didn't have the Ipad on it. Called customer service 3 different times on 10/22 and was told (1) it would be 4-4 and a 1/2 months before I received the Ipad in the mail, (2) they would do a ticket reference # regarding the Ipad, and they couldn't send me any type of email confirmation. (3). Someone would have to check into it "Because I DIDN"T QUALIFY. Received new cable box 10/24, called customer service (again) to see about Ipad, was told it was a computer cliche, I didn't qualify, and it may of had something to do with me making my request online, and may of been for new customers only, BUT it showed up in my shop/upgrade. Tried going back into my account and pulling up the offer, but couldn't gain access! Worst customer service, DECEITFUL and WONT HONOR THE AGREEMENT I SIGNED UP FOR. I set up a new contract, and a comedy of errors followed...first they turned off my service before they switched over to the new contract 4 days before..I had to run back frantically to turn it on before store closed. Next thing went wrong after the technician left my house, I lost my connection on my printer, as well as my downstairs computer was picking up their wifi and not mine. I picked-up my own equipment because I was informed I could install this myself as I was a PREVIOUS customer. Long story short NO ONE CAN (or WILL) GIVE ME AN ANSWER - ANY ANSWER. Waiting for the Installer, promised to arrive between 12 noon and 2 PM PDT. It is now 5:01 PM PDT. I've seen an install drive past my street at 3:30 PM! "Jeff" from Marina (Truck 53) arrived just now - 5:08 PM w/an attitude....such that not only am I writing a report, the Colorado Springs office is sending a report to his manager in Marina. This review is for the comcast customer service in Monterey. Customer service seems annoyed when the customer, who is supposed to be always right, complains about problems with their service. Bottom-line: Worst over the phone customer service I've ever had. I have to use their web based customer service because I can't keep my composure when forced to deal with their unintelligent, unhelpful agents on the phone. Internet service is intermittent and has a weak signal. Customer service tried to tell me that my devices were the problem and then they quoted me $79 to send out a technician. They treated me like I had no idea what the internet was or how it works. After several experiences I have learned that it is a waste of time to talk with anyone other than a manager. On the bright side, I have had three house calls by technicians. They are all polite and helpfull...an extreme contrast with the service over the phone and internet. BUT...they always arrive at the late end of their 2-hour window if not after it. Wireless Internet service is still poor. Most likely due to lousy modem/router provided by comcast. I am now in the process of finding new service from AT&T U-Verse...really anyone other than comcast will do. read more

This Comcast 'Service Center' failed to log my returned Cable Box, Remote or Cancel my Cable Service when I requested in person at this Monterey Location. The Representatives were standing around talking as I entered and appeared annoyed by the intrusion of a customer. After requesting to have my cable service cancelled, keep my internet service and return my dvr box, one of the 3 Comcast employees reluctantly accepted the equipment, scanned it into the system and assured my that my service would be cancelled the next billing cycle. I discovered later that Comcast continued to automatically withdraw over $150/month for the dvr rental and cable service and when I phoned Comcast to request that they refund the overcharge, they told me that I 'waived my right to a refund' by not catching their error in time! I am in the process of switching all of my personal and business away from Comcast. They demonstrate unethical business practices from the top down and treat their customers poorly. Comcast Pacific Grove has stood me up for appointments for three days, put me off one and I am now waiting for a technician to arrive on day five of my Comcast tragic epic. Customer service means less than nothing to these people. I've spent more than two hours on the phone with more than 15 different people only to be disconnected twice and patronizingly placated most times and have gotten precisely NOTHING accomplished. They are stuck with 'sell up' method of getting one to contract for more services. The problem is, there services are poor when compared to AT&T+Direct Stream if available to you. AT&T owns DirecTV an Dif AT&T fiber is available at your address, you are way better off gong with that choice. AT&T fiber has no 'Data Cap' and the download/upload speeds are symmetrical. That is with Fiber Optic cable, the data moves in basically the same speed in uploads and downloads. Coaxial cables were originally designed to move data to you, as in the old fashioned cableTV. One of the other items I have been seeing in recent ads from Xfinity it is advertised as '10g Xfinity'. Xfinity has no way of giving you 10g speed if they wanted to. They are referring to the speed that the WiFI would travel from one of there lousy rented WiFi routers. The max speed a coaxial cable service can send you is around 1g, tops. Here is another item people rarely add to costs. They add to the costs on a monthly basis for what I term as 'box rentals'. If you don't own you own internet access modem, you will be forced to lease one from them for around $8/month. One costs less the $100 to buy one. That's one, added cost. Then, to get their cabletv access you will be charged about another $10/month for what they term as the X1 box or other items that are of less performance. That is 'per box' so if you have more than one TV, you will get charged for each one. When you look at subscribing for a year, that is over $200 in box rental fees one gets charged. Now think about how long you have been subscribed. 5 years, 10 years, just think about what you have paid over the years to own nothing. Check see if any other service is available at your address and go with that. read more

I almost hate to give "evil" Comcast a good review, but I'm very happy so far (two plus months) with the wireless Internet access they've provided. Speed and access are good well over 90 percent of the time. But the software for diagnosing Internet access problems is useless. Their cable service, which I've had for years, has been pretty reliable. Granted, they do raise cable prices every so often, and my wireless costs will probably go up significantly after the first six months, but so far, I'm happy with them. Their local office staff seem pretty helpful--they gave me a pretty good deal on combined cable & wireless. But they should have provided comprehensive written instructions on setting up wireless. It was confusing as all hell, so I had to call and have a technician sent out. Each person I dealt with quoted a different rate for having a technician come out. Nice guy, but it took him a looooong time to get things right, and then he took my old cable remote--including my rechargeable batteries, which I forgot were in there, & gave me a new one. I'm not thrilled with the new remote--not very logical or ergonomic. But, hey, most people in this world have much bigger problems. read more
