Because of its wifi and the only model DC it is expensive (used one sell on eBay for over $150). My amateur diagnosis with a multimeter and I thought a capacitor was bad. No other place in town even does capacitor/circuit board repairs. But it gets better! I told the owner the capacitor was bad. He said he would confirm and repair for $20. I provided him with just 30 minutes and returned to find the device repaired. He even diagnosed the part (yes I was wrong!) and showed me the varistor was bad. Part worked as promised. I'm especially pleased as I gave him a bad diagnosis to work with. Yes he has tons of electronics in his place, but those all provide parts, don't let that scare you. I'm sure my replaced varistor (a very uncommon part to have on hand) came from some of those electronics. A real mom and pop feel, quality workmanship and now my fan works, saving me over $130. A+

It was complicated and time consuming, but they updated our Sonos audio system in 3 rooms. Then they gave us as much time as we needed to be comfortable with the new systems. They used drop cloths over our special carpets, handled our equipment with care and cleaned up after their work. Remember you should always have a phone number of a reputable repair shop that has remote service available. Patrick called me and said it would be $200 for advanced diagnostics and he suggested to go along with it rather than buying a new laptop. This is always a good question to ask is it worth fixing?

I really do not want to treat electronics like they are disposable so I searched for a local repair on yelp and found ClickAway. Pros: They responded to my query right away (I sent my request after close and they got back to me asap the following day) They were polite and professional and asked me to bring it in for a free diagnostic so they could see exactly what it needed and if they could fix it. They had a 24 hour turn around, which they stuck to. Cons: They were not able to fix it, because Nintendo just isn't making the part available. (not taking a star off for that, cause that's on Nintendo) The ADA spot in the lot is on the the opposite side of the building from the entrance, The only reason I am not taking a star off for that is the way the closest spots are aligned in a steep stagger, it still leaves room to wrangle mobility aids in and out of the vehicle. It would be nice if one of them was reserved for ADA, because the building is long and the walk from the ADA spot to the front door is a bit of a haul if you are walker-ing or walking with a cane. Over all the crew was really professional and helpful, and I plan on taking my other tech issues to them in the future. HIGHLY recommend them. One tip though, Google Maps is not giving accurate instructions (at the time of this review) on how to get to them. They are going to try and make you make the world's dumbest u-turn, so for reference, it's across latimer from the KFC on winchester, and the lot entrance is to the left of the building as you face it from winchester, it's small and easy to miss, so be careful.

Anyways, he was responsive and eager, and shot me some fair estimates for some computer repairs/services. He got my old laptop up and running again so I was appreciative of the job he did. I dropped off and picked up at the computer at his apartment which was fairly close to my house, so that was a bonus not having to worry about rushing to get it somewhere before or after work. Shoot him a line before deciding on the company you choose. He may be able to offer you a better deal while maintaining high quality work.
