Adj: Incompetent and Restrictive Unfortunately, Xfinity Mobile really has gotten worse. We went in to try to resolve something that couldn't be taken care of online and for which we were told we had to go into the store so we did. We were still unable to get good help to resolve the problem and although service was friendly, they kept changing the goalpost so we told them we'll just cancel our service and before we got to the car we got an email that says they upgraded our plan! What?! So now we get to spend more time trying to get this fixed. It's been quite a hassle all around and we will not do mobile with Xfinity anymore. No choice on Internet so we're stuck, as with most of our region. The store is nice and clean and cooled down to be quite cold too keep you from heating up with frustrations perhaps? lol. Overall, bad value for mobile service, definitely use a MVNO provider. read more

We came by for to ask some questions and to see about offers for my elderly parents and received good service that was attentive and helpful. Turns out they pretty much have the best deal there is anymore as prices of the most basic Internet plans have gone up so that there's not really such thing as "deals" anymore. But there are still some discounts if you get paperless billing statements, pay by bank account instead of credit card, and have autopay set up. All in all, we learned some things and although they didn't have a free modem promo unless you changed up to a better Internet plan, at least I found out that what my folks are paying isn't too bad and they weren't being had. Looking out for our elders who are quite intimidated by tech. We asked about mobile plans too, but for now it seems my folks didn't need to upgrade so their basic plan is good. The store is big, clean, bright, calming, I think all of that is to create an atmosphere where they can talk you into a better, higher plan, but there really wasn't any pressure sales, and the staff who helped us was friendly and honest, telling us that what my folks got is the best value there is unless a seasonal promo comes up. Don't bother coming to this store, they have no accountability, knowledge, or any customer service what so ever. There are 9 employees all standing around not doing anything but their wait time is 1 hour if you have issues with your service or your bill. When I wanted to address my concern about my equipment, I was immediately given an attitude and told me the wait time is 1 hour. After waiting for 1 hour, they still can't help me and told me to sit on the phone with a customer service representative because it's not their job to deal with these types of issues in the store. No one here could even answer simple questions when it comes to their routers, internet, or billing. They couldn't offer anyone a solution, all they could do is suggest you pay for a replacement then tell you to call customer service to request for a reimbursement which they know it'll be a hassle for their customers. If you're looking to get Xfinity, find a different store with employees that will at least address your needs. This store lacks knowledge of their own brand, I wouldn't trust starting a plan or purchasing anything from here. They will upsell you and add things to your account with misinformed knowledge. You'll get stuck with a huge bill later which they can't even explain and they won't help you here in the store besides giving you the number to customer service to call on your own. 1/25/2026: What I discovered is that some of the Xfinity employees know what they are doing and others do not. I kept getting email messages that I needed to upgrade or my Xfinity Internet, email and TV will be shut off. I went to the Xfinity store and a young lady assisted me. She gave me 2 modems, one for my computer, one for my TV. She told me that it was real easy to set up the TV modem and should take me 10 minutes. I found out it was not easy and had to call Xfinity support. Support was a Filipino lady in the Phillippines and we spent 2.5 hours on the phone to try and get the TV to work. Finally, she gave up and told me I need a technician. 2.5 hours on the phone for nothing. A guy named Billy assisted me with the set up on the computer and everything went fine. I had to have a technician come to my house to set up the TV and I watched him and one thing the Filipino lady forgot to tell me is that you need to place your Wi-Fi password into the system for the TV to work, she NEVER told me to do this. No wonder it wasn't working. When the TV was working, I learn I LOST all the channels that I watch. I had to drive back to the Xfinity store to get this corrected. I told the young lady I wanted to KEEP my channels, but apparently she didn't hear me. The guy that helped me managed to get all of my channels back, knew what he was doing and I was grateful. The young lady gave me the wrong computer modem and asked me if I had the gold one or the silver one. Heck, I don't know, I didn't look at the color of the modem. She finally gave me the right modem. She didn't even apologize for giving me the wrong modem and causing me to drive back to the store to get the correct one. I was out of a TV and computer for 3 days, luckily the billing lady knew what she was doing and gave me credit for the 3 days. I really got the run around with Xfinity. We happened to be in the Delta Shores Shopping Center and noticed this Xfinity store near one of the places we were visiting. Since it was time for our Comcast renewal, our goal was to get some help into keeping our monthly bill as low as possible, since it was ultimately going to increase substantially after the 2 year commitment. Our hope was to keep it the same or try some alternative whittling down of expenses and maybe making some sacrifices. When you live on a fixed income, any help would make creature comforts a bit more bearable! Upon entering, we were immediately told that we would have to schedule an appointment. Fortunately, it was just for a few hours later, so we were fine with that. We did some more shopping and returned back for the appointed time. After waiting a little longer in the waiting area, a man who seemed to be new at the job asked how he could help us. When we explained what we needed to do, he said he didn't have access to their computers, so we would have to wait longer until another representative could help us. We continued to hang out in the waiting area for an additional half hour until a woman asked us how she could help. After giving another lengthy explanation on what our billing hopes would be, she stated that she was unable to give any help on that, and it would be best to call the Xfinity main office! What a waste of time! And to add insult to injury, Joe K called the main office no less than 3 times to get the run around. Two reps were nice and polite, one was actually rude! There were either computer glitches, phone disconnections, or promises to call back. No reps EVER called back! While we enjoy our internet and TV services at home, including the friendly and personable repair guys that occasionally have to come out to our house, Xfinity really takes advantage of the fact that they have total control of their customers hook, line and sinker! read more

I was told by Xfinity in Elk Grove to come to this store since it was a corporate store to pick up a free Wi-Fi pod. Upon arriving, I was met by a greeting person and was told that they didn't have any pods in stock and that I would need to call in and have one mailed to me. After calling, the phone team said they didn't have any pods and they attempted to sell me another device. I explained that it was suppose to be free. After a long discussion, they said i would have to have another team member assist me and that they would call me back but I haven't heard anything. read more

I tried porting my iPhone from Verizon to Xfinity, beginning August 14th. I was given a SIM card and told to wait until my phone went into SOS mode in about 24 hours. Nothing happened and I was still a Verizon customer. 2nd visit was the same. Final visit, August 25th I did the same thing but insisted on talking to the mgr. As was done each time he called tech support. What I got from that visit was guaranteed satisfaction, but I needed to wait 3 to 5 days. Ok, as my phone was still operational. That was until yesterday when I was not able to call or receive calls or use all other services when away from WiFi. Finally I said F this. I went to Arden Fair Xfinity which is company owned not a third party vendor. Gino help us and within 20 minutes my phone was fixed! I suggest going to Xfinity Arden Fair if you live in the area. I decided to come in person to get my wifi set up and I'm glad I did. Maria was my rep and she was very informative and although she did try to push some additional products since it's a give they will she wasn't pushy at all which I appreciated. She knew I wanted only wifi offer for mobile did come up once or twice but wasn't forced. Definitely made my trip east and painless. She even helped with my autopay set up. Would definitely recommend this location for new services as I was able to walk out the door with the items needed to just plug in the devices and wifi will be ready to go. read more

You show them documents at the store that were printed from your Xfinity account on your computer and they tell you that is not what their computer shows. Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous. You show them a letter that you received in the mail from Xfinity showing that yiu have a credit and they proceed to tell you that that credit was appled to the month that you don't even have Xfinity anymore. So now instead of a credit I now owe them money I have wasted an entire day online and on the phone with no solution, So I am reporting them to the FCC and the Better Businees bureau. You show them papers in black and white and they tell you that you are wrong. I am so glad I do not have this company anymore. More aggravation coming up trying to get this issue resolved. read more

Went in today to set up Internet service, because we are moving starting January 1st, we wanted to get everything set up so when we move we have a smooth transaction. the staff was nice, but the gentleman that helped us signed us up for a plan we didn't ask for, and also bundled in something we didn't ask for and stated it was to make our bill cheaper when in reality he gave us the lower speed plan for Internet so he had an opportunity to bundle add-ons that we are not going to use. Super frustrating and discouraging for a new customer, also we were interested in setting up phone service and trading in our phones, but the rep stated that when getting new phones, the system sometimes messes up the promotion for the price lock of 5 years for our internet service, so it's best to wait until after we get our internet service started. It felt very rushed, and it was very unprofessional. You're pretty much telling us that your system has glitches sometimes and isn't reliable not a good look for someone who's just starting service. Totally understand trying to get your sales up, but the lack of transparency is frustrating and should have been presented clearly . read more

The Xfinity store is very hit or miss. Be sure to check in immediately after walking in as their wait times have been as long as an hour for me. Parking is easy to find in their large lot. Unfortunately, you're unable to make appointments, so it's advantageous if you arrive before they open as it'll help expedite getting you out of there quicker. If you arrive late in the morning or afternoon, be prepared to grab a seat. Some employees are much more helpful and knowledgeable than others, and as such, they'll be brutally honest with you if they're able to help cut you a better deal. They have payment kiosks for those who don't like paying online or over the phone. We were longtime subscribers to their cable, cell phone, internet, and security system. At one point, we also had their landline phone service. Now we just have their cell phone and internet service. We experienced a number of outages, some of which lasted for hours. Unfortunately, service outages render your home security service worthless. We ended up retaining them for our cell phone service as we've been happy with it as they operate utilizing the Verizon cell phone towers. Our internet service is typically reliable, given that we have a ton of items connected to our router. We occasionally experience slower speeds, and it's beneficial if you occasionally power cycle and restart your modem. The internet booster pods can be helpful depending on your service needs and the layout of your home. We've been happier utilizing our streaming services such as Disney+, Hulu, and Netflix rather than having a gazillion channels we never watch. We switched to Ring for our home security needs as their service and system is much cheaper monthly and doesn't go down in the event of a power outage. Their telephone service is typically atrocious, but once in a while, you'll be surprised with a customer service centric agent. Be sure to sign up for auto pay as it helps reduce your monthly bill. You can purchase cell phones and accessories, obtain cable, internet, or landline phone service, as well as schedule appointments for home security installation here. You can also swap out defective or faulty cable boxes and modems here. They also now offer a new "storm ready" wifi service that allows you to receive wifi service for up to four hours with battery backup in the event of an outage. Despite having an appointment to simply exchange a non-working cable TV box, I had to wait a full hour before an Xfinity rep met with me to perform the 5 min process for me to return the non-working old box for a new replacement box. This store only has 1-2 reps waiting on customers at any time. Xfinity should utilize an online service processing with self-service pick up boxes like other stores. read more

We came in this morning to buy a new router and pods. There was one person that greeted us to put us on the wait list. There were two associates helping customers. We probably waited 10 minutes. Ina at Delta Shores was friendly and helpful. She was helpful as we're Seniors as I brought my son to make sure my husband and I were buying what we needed. The router we were able to bring home. Ina said they didn't have any pi's in stock abd had to order our pods and that we should receive them in 3-5 days. I asked Ina if she had Seniors like us come in and she assured us that her parents were just like us! I think that you are fortunate to have such a fine employee. Kudos to Ina! read more

Not only is their call by phone option a complete joke, their customer service is complete and total garbage. I will say this the only reason I give them 2 stars is because the people that work there are nice. They are in no way shape or form responsible for the type of service Comcast can provide. My fiancé and I pay for the highest package with internet. I can understand outages and things of that nature, but when I am paying for a service and that service isn't running I should be given a discount on the service provided. They charged my card $130 for cancelling when they were not providing the level of service I signed up for. customer service over the phone is rude and a waste of time. The wait time was about 45 minutes but once it was our turn Dee did a fantastic job and got us taken care of quickly. Part of this was because we knew what we wanted to get done. Comcast/Xfinity is basically a monopoly in most areas and they could definitely provide a better experience by having one or two more reps at those empty desks. And Comcast phone support sucks so it wasn't a surprise that one of the customers in there taking up the most time was a Karen who was pissed off about something that sounded to me like it was the Karen's fault and not Comcast. Bottom line is Dee was awesome, did a great job, was friendly and efficient but Comcast as a company could do way better. But I'm sure that's not a shock to anyone. read more

I was on the waitlist and 4 customers that came after me got called before me, ( one was an appointment, cool is understandable ). I was told I was next, another customer walks in, gets on the wait list, they proceed to call them immediately. I had to get up, frustrated at this point but respectfully walked over to let bro know I've been skipped 4 times & that it was bad service, he apologized, then says low staff. It ain't low staff, is bad service and communication. Positives: low-priced internet, comparably speaking....at the same time, there are less than a handful of internet service providers in the area I reside, which is absolutely absurd considering we live in a metropolitan area. They do provide very reliable service. Occasionally internet is down but hey, nothing is perfect right? Customer service via direct messaging them is very helpful and fast, thankfully. Negatives: I wasn't made aware of an included free Flex box that allows free tv channels including Asian channels. A relative of mine was a new internet use of this ISP and he somehow got news of it, yet I was also a new user of this ISP and didn't know until I was told by my relative. That was a letdown. Also, after the first contract year, the price explodes into a higher price of I think $60+/month JUST for internet. That's overpriced. read more

I've had several bad experiences with this company and this last one takes the cake. I currently have their home security system bc my car was stolen out of my driveway. Now my other car has been vandalized and due to the time gaps in the recording the vandalism may have been missed. When contacting the company they told me that the reason is because I need to add a new service... I have ALL their security services really?!?!
