Came here since it was near my house and I can presently say that it was actually really good, I always had this place near me but never even tried it and I'm glad I did, the workers were extremely nice, they showed me how to order since I had no idea how it worked, the prices were also very affordable and the food portion is decent! I've been coming to Cantina for years. I've seen a lot of the original staff move on and it was a shame they were great. In terms of the food, it tastes great.. when they get your order right. I speak English and Spanish and either way they will miss or just blatantly not do the things you ask that was easily done before. This place is just so delicious I can't help but cheat on Chipotle for it! The way they consistently over stuff the food is what really gets me. I always get the quesadilla and they start by heating up the meat and on a separate burner heat up the tortilla with cheese. While on the grill they start adding whatever topping you want; cilantro, sour cream, pico, guac, corn...whatever your little heart desires. Oh yea, they consider bacon a regular topping! On top of your delicious order they add a large handful of chips! Definitely worth a try if your a Mexican fast food lover like me. read more

I ordered uber eats from Xochimex cantina Grill yesterday and I was glad I did. The food arrived quickly and I was surprised to see the big portion of my rice bowl. My son ordered a chicken salad which wasn't as large of Portia's the bowl I ordered by he said that it was delicious. The orders cabe with a paper bag of chips similar to what Chipotle's does. Unfortunately I don't have pictures as I was hungry and forgot about taking photos. I have gone in the before but I always walked out because of the line but now I know it's worth the wait. A starch burrito. Unacceptable. Full price for lots of rice. Poor Cantina this location can go 0 to 100 real quick - in terms of how busy they get. Been coming to this locations for years now, and I've never had an issue, THANKFULLY. What I love about them is that they go hard with the toppings! No extra charges unless you get bacon, guacamole or queso. Prices are affordable and they give you a good amount of protein. The burritos are HUGE and a quesadilla can be just as big depending on the toppings you get. They do get carried away with the topping of the hard tacos which can make them soggy so hopefully you eat them quick. They have very limited seating now with COVID. Seems like most of the staff is new. So service is a little slower than usual. But still prefer them over TACO BELL! read more

The conveyor belt style has been working for them for years. You can add multiple toppings like jalapeños, pico de Gallo, spinach, tomato, banana peppers, lettuce, (bacon, guacamole, both extra) and queso. The burritos and quesadillas come huge! They are served with a side of fried corn tortillas. SERVICE: no servers here, but food prepped in front of you to your liking AMBIENCE: calm, moderately loud and line for food can go out the door. I come here often to enjoy my food with my family not to receive bad attitude from a worker that doesn't treat customers how they should and pretends to receive tip. This lady, in a sarcasm way , claimed why I didn't tip her. In this type of restaurants, where they do not serve you directly to your table, it's to our discretion to give a tip. Notorious for their Signature Burritos, customers are able customize their burritos with a plethora array of toppings, sauces, proteins, etc. As an added bonus, if you go on a Monday you get double the points which can be redeemed for a free meal once you reach 20! Like always, I order my usual: a chicken burrito starting with white tortilla, white rice & black beans. Followed by diced tomatoes, chopped lettuce, shredded cheese, spinach for the gains, cucumber slices, sweet peppers, and a very Very generous serving of corn. This signals the commencement of the closing ceremony, starting off with drizzles of sour cream coming from the east, proceeded by showers of garlic cilantro from the west. Once the sauce storm subsides, a layer of savory cooked chicken is placed on top of the behemoth. As they attempt to roll my baby, I tell them to "toast it" as this will ensure the burrito maintains it's divine figure throughout its shortly lived lifespan. Usually by having them place shredded cheese on the area getting toasted, you are putting the golden seal on your burrito in terms of what was mentioned in the previous sentence. At long last, the burrito is placed in the bowl served with FREE chips (CMG step it up). These chips can be paired with the burrito itself or any of the complimentary dips provided in their salsa section. Thus, for just a little less than $10 you are getting a meal that is not only delicious but will keep you satisfied for the rest of the day. These are difficult times trying to get good help. But one would think that did you work at a taco shop, one would understand the words chicken bowl and steak burrito. This the the second in the last 4 visits that has not gone well. I was ordering 2 items, the chicken bowl and steak burrito. This lady had no idea what I wanted. A kind lady in line ahead of me explained the chicken bowl. However, is the cook's concussion she somehow thought I just wanted a chicken bowl. At this point she discontinues to cook the steak by removing it from the grill. Now she's back on the chicken. Once she was done with that I again asked about the steak burrito. She returns to make the tortilla. When I asked if the steak was hot (remember, it hasn't been on the grill) she replied yes. It wasn't. When I got home it was COLD to the touch. Can't go back. If you love cheesy goodness you have to try it!!!!! 2. The serving size. Touched up on that one lightly, but they serve such great portions. When I go to other places I feel like they're are supper stingy with meats, Guaq and sides etc but they never ever disappoint. Even the regulars I can always split because they're so filling. 3. COOKIES!!!! Omg you need to try the toffee cookie ( mind you my favorite is always chocolate chip) but I mean the chocolate is great too! 4. Salsa, the mango salsa is a must! Every time I go I take like 3/4 in the little to go servings. Sorry not sorry. 5. Rewards program! They are so great with their rewards! Today we went and the girl attending us had an attitude that was too obvious she didn't want to be there. Both the quesadilla and the burrito came apart ass soon as we began to eat them. The wrap used was so thick it had the texture of a pita. The mango sauce has completely changed in taste. And the guac seemed watery and I didn't even taste it when eating the quesadilla. They have a good amount of tables to sit and one tv. Be mindful that there is a small pond behind the shop so there will be ducks walking around. They are harmless so just walk past them. I came here on Saturday evening for Michelle Z's "I Love Meeshes to Pieces" / fund raiser event for her upcoming race with the Leukemia/Lymphoma society. When I saw the name "Cantina Grill", for some reason I was expecting to find decor similar to a Senior Frogs or Carlos 'n Charlie's. In reality, Cantina Grill is located in a strip mall and reminded me a lot of Baja Fresh in its appearance and concept. As someone else commented, the process works a lot like Subway: You get in line, pick your entree (burrito, nachos, quesadilla, taco platter, etc.), select a white or whole wheat tortilla if applicable, then pick the type of meat you'd like (chicken, pork, ground beef, steak, fish or meatless/vegatarian). Beyond that, you work your way down the preparation line similar to the way you would at Subway and tell them which additional items and toppings you'd like them to add (i.e. white or brown rice, black or refried beans, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, etc.) I had the steak burrito which was $7.99, and was charged $1.19 extra because I got guacamole on it. Each of their entrees comes with chips and you can help yourself to about 6 different types of salsa. My burrito was HUGE, and with the chips/salsa, it made for a meal so large that I wasn't able to finish it, all for a bit under $10, not including a beverage. Not bad! The service was good, staff were friendly and on this night the 5 or 6 people behind the counter had no trouble at all keeping up with the constant influx of customers. There are 2 big screen TVs inside, but the seating area isn't huge so if you come when this restaurant is busy, you may end up getting your order to go. Cantina Grill does serve beer (Bud Light, Miller Light, Bud Light Lime and Corona bottles), but because of the decor and overhead fluorescent lighting, this isn't really the place to kick back and have a beer with your meal IMO.
