My friend and I dropped by this place around 10pm because it was near her place and we needed dinner to-go. Ordering was pretty simple. We just walked in and one of the waitresses greeted us. We told them we wanted it to-go so she handed us a menu to look at. There were tables available at the time so we browsed the menu at the closest table next to the cash register. When we were ready to order, they promptly took our order. The food came out really quickly too, which was a plus. I ordered the Hawaiian Roll and my friend ordered the Alaskan Roll. We also got a seaweed salad to share as well. I didn't try her Alaskan Roll but the Hawaiian Roll was good. I mean, you can't really go wrong with a California Roll as a base in my opinion (okay, maybe not, but this place didn't have anything wrong with their California Roll so bonus points for them lol). The seaweed salad was better than I thought it would be so that was a pleasant surprise. I give 3 stars because the rolls we had weren't anything special but they were fine. Bad fish! Tasted like an aquarium, the fish was grey and it gave me food poisoning. Easily the worst sushi I have ever eaten.

This place was so disappointing and really slow and frustrating of a process. Went with a group of 5 for lunch and there was only 1 sushi chef on which slowed down the time we spent there. Because of diet restrictions, two of us asked if they could wrap our rolls in cucumber and take out the rice, and they refused to and said they couldn't and could only offer us what was on the menu (small selection of cucumber rolls). Our friends sent back the popcorn lobster roll because the fish taste was off and the sushi chef wanted to give them the same roll they didn't like. The sriracha didn't have any heat to it at all. Either did the wasabi and the rolls all fell apart. I truly don't know why there are so many good reviews for this place. read more

My new go to sushi spot in the Los Al/Cypress area. Their sashimi combo is always soooo fresh. Some of the beat cuts of fish I've ever had at a sushi joint. Their sushi rolls are also creative, the garlic one is fabulous, I also love the mango. Everything we've ever ordered has been exceptional. Bonus! Go during a dodger game and drinks are 1/2 off! We went here today. The server was very nice and a tentative. It is unbelievable that they have all you can eat sashimi. The cuts were the real deal better than most non all you can eat places. I work down the street and decided to give this place a shot for lunch. Since my first visit, I've been back twice and I'm sold. Xtreme Sushi is located in the strip mall next to 7-11. The place is pretty small and has a few tables and a sushi bar but it's clean and nice. The first time I stopped in I had the ramen and a salmon hand roll. The salmon was really fresh and melted like butter. The ramen was good but only held me over until I got my fix at Shin Sen Gumi the next week. In my last two visits, I ordered the sushi lunch special. $9.50 for a 5 piece chef's choice nigiri sushi and 6 pieces of spicy tuna or California roll. The nigiri is fresh and each piece was pretty big. The spicy tuna roll was great too. It was fresh and had a nice kick to it. There are a lot of sushi options in the area that are great. But this one has great quality for a good price. I wish they'd mix up the lunch special to offer different rolls instead of just the 5 pieces of nigiri but either way I'm sold. And all the sudden an extra $1 charge for all spicy tuna in the who's your daddy appetizer.. when over the phone I said just no crab in it. Slight annoyance but got over it after she said she wouldn't charge me after the chef already started it. First off before I go into detail, this was my favorite sushi spot and used to go in at least once a week before the pandemic hit. We decided to come and get sushi from our local spot but when my bf walked in to order he noticed none of the workers were wearing gloves and upon speaking with the owner requested if they can wear gloves before prepping our sushi. The owner refused and said they were too busy and had so many orders to make so he wasn't going to make the workers wear gloves or wash their hands. My bf even offered to tip each worker $10 to wear gloves before our order was made for the inconvenience although it is a rule for restaurant workers to wear gloves. As a result, the owner said no and to go. We ended up leaving and not ordering as it is unsanitary and unsafe to order from a place that is not wearing gloves especially during a pandemic. We are also reporting their business as a result. We strongly urge our neighbors to stay away from this place or to be aware of their practices during this pandemic. The owner is very negligent and does not care about his clients safely and health only the orders that are coming in for his business. read more

I work in the the same shopping center as Xtreme and order from them 2-3 times a week. Their sushi is good. Tonight I called in my normal order which is 2 rolls wrapped in cucumber instead of rice. I picked it up and everything went great. Yet, when I opened the box I realized the rolls had rice so went back to the restaurant to advise of the order error. The gentleman I spoke to proceeded to tell me that they don't wrap rolls in cucumber. I told him I get the same order weekly and I was charged an extra $2 a roll for the cucumber "add on." He proceeded to tell me I was charged for extra cucumber that they diced up in the roll. This is such bullshit. I then asked if they could wrap my rolls in cucumber and the owner got argumentative so I said ok and just walked out. I'm not going to argue over sushi. It's a shame they conduct business that way.
