This place was recommended to me earlier last week but I didn't actually check it out until yesterday evening, when I was hit by a strong craving for Mediterranean food. The décor of this place is inviting, clean and trendy. Upon walking in, I was enthusiastically greeted by two staff members. They were both really kind, informative and clearly proud of their product. It's always reassuring when the staff express excitement over their brand, particularly when you're a new customer. I went for their bowl option with a bed of brown rice but couldn't decide between getting either the chicken shewarma or the gyro. Luckily my server offered the option of getting half and half. To complete my bowl, I opted for their Greek salad and spicy hummus. I eyed the falafels in the back and decided I needed those in my life, as well. My meal came out to about $15, altogether. I took my meal to-go and basically scarfed it down as soon as I got home. Everything was fresh and well-seasoned. Needless to say, I enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to trying out their other menu options in the near future and recommend it to anyone with a hankering for some good and fresh Mediterranean food. read more

Finally a great gyro locally. The food is fresh and made to order. The owners and staff are friendly. We've been here twice now and it's just the beginning of regular visits. First time we tried the classic gyro and a side of hummus and side of falafel. Second time I had a bowl with gyro meat and chicken shawarma with tabouleh and Greek salad over rice and my wife had the classic falafel wrap in lavash. So good. We will be back in a couple days. The food is authentic and reminds me of the stuff I had years ago from an old girl friends mother who had a restaurant and was from Jordan, where Yafa Hummus originated. The hummus has that amazing tangy bite that's not often found these days. And it's so smooth! If you like Mediterranean food you need to try this place. read more

I don't come to the area frequently, but I stop here to get something to eat before the long drive home. The last two times I've eaten here I've noticed that they are getting very skimpy on portions. Over from Sacramento for the day, looked on Yelp for a good place to eat and this popped up so we gave it a try. Food was really really good. Staff friendly and helpful. Even stopped by our table to see if everything was good. Chicken Shawerma was really tasty, brown rice was good, Greek salad really good and yummy hummus. Will be back next time we're in Tracy and can't wait til you open up in Sacramento September 2019. So good to see this place busy. Best Mediterranean place I've had honestly topped my previous favorite. I'm confident I could eat here weekly. Maybe even daily. I LOVE their hummus. Their flavors are amazing together. Fresh off the grill and their meat is freshly cut off. You've got to stop by and try it. The workers are kind and the customer service isn't bad. My first impression with this place I sent honey to get food for us for dinner and we were so pleased we brought family along to try it all the way from San Leandro. This is my favorite falafel place. But before I get to the food, the manager, Aim is an amazing guy. He is hospitable, friendly and knows customer service. He remembers people when they come back. Aim always appears happy, not an easy feat in the service industry. He alone deserves his own 5-star review. The restaurant is clean bright and organized. The decor is minimal but it tells a story, the story of Yafa. The food is delicious. The home made hummus (I'm assuming it's home made) is yummy. First off, this review is about the customer service (from owner) and not the food itself. The food is great. I am really disappointed with my most recent visit to Yaffa. I am a regular to this business since the last 1 year and come here almost once a week. Have built up a decent relationship with the folks here. So was really disappointed when on my last visit I asked that instead of the Pita that comes with my order I can have some salad instead since I am on a low carb diet. Instead of being told yes we can do or that it will cost extra, I was point blank refused the salad and that too by the owner and not the staff. I was really shocked and thought I had misheard him and again explained my request and again he said, no we cannot do that. Just point blank refusal. Very disappointed with such poor service. If Aim or some other staff had been working, I would have been politely told yes or it will cost extra. But not we cannot do it. I am rethinking my loyalty to this business after my recent trip. read more

Came here with a recommendation from my girlfriend. She has tried it in the past and wanted to have it again. The establishment is nice with good music but still quite enough to enjoy yourself. Got two chicken shawarma wraps and a bowl. The total came out to a little under 50 dollars which isn't bad. BUT the portions are where i was caught off guard... For the amount of food the price was outrageous, have tried many other halal "fast food/restaurants" and those are much better. Unless you are a petit human who eats small portions this is the place for you, if you're like me try out a different place. Better food for better price. read more
