Just dropped by to get the lunch special with my sister - we each got a slice, which was PLENTY since the slices are huge, and had a free drink to share. We paid less than $7, and had the best NY style pizza we've had since the last time we were in NYC. Crispy crust since it was reheated, not too greasy, and great array of veggie toppings. Yaghi's serves up New York (thinner sliced) pizza and offer a variety of specialty pizzas. I only have experience with pizzas being delivered. The pizza size is ample and the delivery is always quicker than the quote time of 45 min. Unfortunately, the quality of their pizzas vary widely. Sometimes the pizzas are a greasy mess, while other times they are a good consistency and are very tasty (and I always order the exact same pizzas). Also, 3 out of 4 times at least one key ingredient of their "specialty pizza" has been missing when it was delivered. When I've called them about this they have the same anwer every time, "sorry, we ran out of it." read more

We've loved going to Yaghi's for years. The last few times I've been (2020/08) I've seen multiple line cooks in the kitchen actively making pizzas and either not wearing masks or wearing them so they arn't covering their nose OR mouth (like 100% chin wearing for multiple pizzas). I work across the street and hadn't been here in several years because the employees were rude and the pizza was not the greatest. But a few weeks ago I was craving pizza, needed a good deal and needed it quickly. I popped in and was pleasantly surprised. All of the employees were very nice and talkative while waiting for my pizza. The new manager Jacob was also very sweet and made sure my visit was absolutely perfect. I will not lie, my boyfriend and I have had their pizza for lunch now at least 5 or 6 times in the last couple of weeks, not including coworkers who also pick up food from them. The food is always hot and crispy, the service is great, and the restaurant is very clean. They have really turned their business around, I hope to see the new manager here for a while. My mistake was in thinking that a PIZZA restaurant, listed in the PIZZA category as a 4.5 star place would have pretty good PIZZA. Ah, fellow Yelper, make not that same error! Read the reviews carefully here. You will see that the high ratings are for the sandwiches and the value of the lunch specials. Order a delivery pizza, as I did, and you will be presented with a greasy (even for NY style, which tends towards greasy) mess, with a droopy crust, and so few pepperonis that they look like lonely islands. And for all this, you can pay 25% more than Pizza Hut. I'm more than willing to pay more, but not for insipid pizza like this. Yaghi's may have its fans - but it certainly isn't for the pizza. read more

How long have I been missing this place?? I got a Feta pizza and a "The Works" and hot wings and they were all phenomenal (says all five of us)! The wings were large and meaty and not sloppy like some places! Not too spicy so go hotter if you're a fan of lip burning. The Feta pizza had just the right amount of garlic and tons of feta. The works was just that! I am picky about sauce but there's was gretat. Not too salty and not too much of it. Also LOTS of mozzarella on top. I really recommend this place, I eat from there often, but I have to complain about one thing: The pepperoni rolls, despite being ~10 inches long, have only 3 to 4 pepperoni in them each. How can you even call that a pepperoni roll!? That's one pepperoni per 4-5 bites! one time I paid extra for double and got 6 pepperoni per roll. Really GOOD pizza! I had a BIG slice of pepperoni and black olive. It was hot, soft and crispy. My daughter had a BIG slice of pepperoni. We really enjoyed our slices. The workers were also very nice. They even opened the door for me! 2 BIG slices and 2 drinks under $7.00. Perfect lunch. read more

This place is great, some people are sayin their crust is bad and customer service is sub-par. I'm not sure which pizza you bought but this is authentic tasting NY style pizza. I have been enjoying the lunch special for years, it used to be just cheese and now you can get any 2 slices (even the yummy margarita slices) and a drink for 3.99, how can I beat that as a college student?? All the people complaining about crust, please you must have grown up on terrible Texas pizza with too much sauce and terrible cheese. The crust is just what you should expect from NY pizza, thin with a light crispy bottom. In addition I've known a few ofthe guys in there for A long time, and whoever claims they don't respond to hello, well you most have been talking to the floor or something. The good: It's nice to have a pizza deliver place that isn't Dominos or a chain. The pizza is pretty good with some good options. A few of the pies I've had from there were even excellent although they're not always the same (consistency). The greek salad is VERY good. A large portion too. The bad: Delivery time is often slow, I get the feeling that it is run by high-school kids. The delivery driver has often given me food that looks like it was tossed around a good bit. The person that has answered the phone a couple times doesn't sound very experienced and wasn't very helpful with recommendations or answering questions. We have ordered and received delivery for several times in the pst few weeks and yet when calling today were told that they do not deliver to our neighborhood. When asked to speak to the manager I was told that the manager does not talk to customers on the phone per company policy. Shameful to say the least that the manager that was standing next to the person who took the call of a local business will refuse to speak to their repeat clients. Needless to say that Yaghi's lost our business current and future and earned themselves an extremely unpleasant review on social channels such as these. This is our go to pizza and hot wings spot. Cannot believe they only have 3 stars. We are New Yorkers so it's been a tough adjustment moving to Texas when it comes to pizza. But we are very happy with the consistent quality of the thin crust pies and fresh ingredients here and the wing sauce is as close to the real deal as we've found in ATX. The economy is in the toilet; I can't retire until I die. So, if I eat out, I can't spend more than a few bucks on a meal. The lunch special is $4.99 for two slices of cheese and a 12 oz drink. Now that's a deal, especially since the pizza is yummy! I rarely eat it, so when I do it has to be good. Yaghi 's is very close to the true New York slice: crispy bottom, firm upper crust, tasty sauce and cheese, but not greasy. And if you are feeling like a George Costanza/ George Steinbrenner lunch, their calzones are worth it also. Excellent consistency on the dough, well-blended ingredients, and well priced. Called today to ask for a replacement pizza due to the taste of our pizza, didn't taste the same as last time. The manager was rude, stated he made our first pizza and if we wanted another it would be made the same way as before. Said he seasoned the pizza himself. On a good day, the pizza is thin-crusted and crispy, the cheese fresh and melty, and the gyros perfectly balanced. On a bad day, the crust is soggy and gross, the ingredients wilted, and the staff surly. As much as I enjoy the loveliness that is Yaghi's gyro sandwich, I just can not get over the awful customer service and inconsistency. Actually, there is a bit of consistency-- the long delivery time. Usually clocking around 40 minutes to an hour and a half (even to the neighborhood located 2 blocks from the shop), expect your delivery driver to be stoned and bearing a cold, soggy pizza that they expect you to pay around 20 dollars for. Before the tip. If you're going in to grab a slice of cheese pizza or a gyro at lunchtime, you may have better luck. But delivery times are slow, the product inconsistent, and the employees grossly disinterested in their clients. I used to live in the New York area. When I moved to Texas, I was worried about being able to find good pizza. This place alleviated all those fears. The price leaves a little to be desired, aside from the lunch special. Let me first say that I rarely write reviews and this review is not based on the food, which is quite good. Although my family loves Yaghi's pizza, I won't be back any time soon. I picked up takeout for my family this evening and was very concerned to see zero social distancing going on as COVID-19 is rapidly increasing across the country and in Austin. I was asked to sign my receipt with a pen lying on the counter that had been touched who knows how many people. There was no hand sanitizer or wipes to clean the pen or my hands before or after signing. Fortunately, I had my own pen! The next thing I noticed was that community spices/condiments were still available on a shelf in the waiting/dining area. The dine-in seating was closed, but I'm sure they only did that because the county has required it. I also did not see any sign limiting the number of people who could be in the dine-in/waiting area at one time (which is quite small). My gut check is that if they have this little regard for their customers' health, precautions are probably even less for their staff. There are some pretty simple measures restaurants can take to help ensure the safety of their staff and customers, and many Austin area restaurants have been proactive in that regard. I hope Yaghi's will take the ongoing pandemic more seriously and make changes accordingly. read more
