Chicken Korma with 4 cubes of chicken and blah flavor
    Cassandra R.

Y'all. We eat Indian on the regular. Many of our friends are Indian. We CHOW DOWN on Indian. This was the worst I've had. First, there was no music. When we walked in the server (the only person in the restaurant we could see at the time--6:30pm) said "just sit wherever you'd like, you'll see some tables are dirty." Why were they dirty? There were at least 4 dirty tables, so I'm not sure what was going on there. We ordered drinks then food. Cold drinks are served in these neat metal cups. Food is served as expected, in metal "family style" containers. The samosas were greasy (beyond greasy). The mint chutney had green dye in it--I'd never seen anything like it! It kept coloring rice, the samosas, and our teeth. Totally bizarre. And the flavors were all wrong. My husband ordered a tea at the beginning of our visit and as we finished she brought the tea over. We love chais and drink them whenever possible, so to have one overwhelmed with seasoning and not sweetened at all was nauseating. We both tried it and left it full on the table. It passed my 12 hour test (I didn't get sick) but we did leave promptly and go eat somewhere better (check my reviews to find it). Overall, a hard, hard pass for future.

Food was hot, just wasn't flavorful. It's sad because I wanted it to be good, it just wasn't.

I wanted Indian food but wasn't able to go anywhere due to my car needing repairs. Checking Uber eats, I saw that Yak The Kathmandu Kitchen was an option. I've heard of it but I'd never been to it. My curiosity prompted me to try them. Chicken tikka masala was the obvious choice and I also decided to order naan. The restaurant is a considerable distance away from my house so I expected a longer wait for the arrival of my order. I believe the wait time was supposed to be 30-55 minutes. I'm not sure when the order arrived but it didn't seem like a particularly long time. When I picked up the order from outside, the food still felt really warm. I have to say that I'm not much of a spicy food eater. My chicken tikka masala spice choice was mild. I believe you get to choose from mild, medium, spicy, and extra spicy. The mild was just enough spice for me and I loved it. It smelled so good and the flavor didn't disappoint. The naan was delicious as well. It was fresh and cooked to perfection. I will have to try this place again. The first time was a 5 star experience.

Hot and Sour Soup and Garlic Naan

Super food. Hot and Sour Soup with Garlic Naan. Then Steamed MoMo Chicken(dumplings). I ordered the soup spicy. Good food. Good service. Only knock would be the ambiance was lacking. Pro Tip-- save some soup to use as a dip for the MoMo

This place has a very authentic appeal. Restaurant s decorated keeping in mind the Nepalese festivities. We ordered appetizers for a small snack meal which included veg chili momos, papdi chat, pani puri and veg spring rolls. They were out of spring rolls and they happily replaced with vegetarian chowmein. After these fulfilling dishes , We ordered masala chai and Salted lassi! Only thing we were left perplexed by is that there is no one to greet you and you have to order food it at self service kiosk. Even though it disappointed me in start , but their food made my day! They did have posters their which said "Let us cook delicious food for you , pardon our service" . For me , this was their honesty and awareness of the situation. I would 100% recommend this place!

Small. Unusual. Multi-cultural. Homey. Comfortable. Warm. Inviting. Spicy. SPICYYY. Creamy. Tasty. Yummy. OMFG! DELICIOUS!

    Not looking clean.

Failing health inspections score because they thaw the chicken in the sink. They have chicken on the floor? Filthy kitchen! Nothing is clean in the kitchen area. If you happen to peek through the curtain and actually get into the see the kitchen, it is the filthiest kitchen I've ever seen in my life, dried food on the walls, bathrooms are filthy, broken doors, and smells bad. left the dirty dishes from previous customer, waitress touches the water you drink from with her hands in the place where your mouth would go, so be sure to use a straw. Lots of cross-contamination and poor hygiene practices.

    Aloo broccoli

I ordered Aloo Gobi and my son ordered Chana masala. Instead of potato cauliflower, I received potato broccoli. I don't know if they ran out of cauliflower and decided to substitute. If that is the case, they should have told me and asked if that was okay. I would have ordered something different. Not likely to return.

They inform no service. True. Delicious food? No way!

The food came out hot and fresh. Mixed reviews on the flavors of the food. The flavor level leaned toward the bland side for our preference but wasn't bad. The spice level was just right for us. Would eat here again for a change of pace! My favs were the cheese naan and fried chicken momo.

Customer…read moreservice was good and I will say this place was better before the pandemic when they had the buffet but what I had recently was some of the worst Indian/nepalese/Himalayan food I've ever had. I ordered the dal fry, vindaloo vegetables, and pakora. The dal fry was the wateriest/soupiest dal I've ever had with absolutely no flavor. The. Vindaloo which is typically a rich red color , that is savory and tangy and spicy looked like a bland curry they just added a little vinegar too. It had none of the complexity of flavor you'd expect, was poorly salted, and tasted like they just threw in a bunch of chilly to make it spicy. The pakora was ok, though not at all crispy, more thick and doughy and soaked the bag in oil. What was most appalling was the mint chutney which was an unnatural form of green, tasted watery, and stained all the food green. I don't know what they're putting in that but when you make mint chutney with mint and cilantro and natural ingredients, it doesn't look like that and it tastes a whole lot better. I don't know if they're getting by making low quality food because there are limited options in the area but this was really disappointing.

Alright--"Taste of India"... where do I even start?…read more If you already love Indian food, you won't be disappointed. And if you've never tried it before, this is absolutely a place to start. One big misconception is that everything is super spicy--that's not the case at all. The flavors are rich and layered, and if you do want heat, they're more than happy to turn it up for you. When you go, take a minute to ask what's on special and have them explain some of the dishes. It makes a huge difference. Not everything is the same, and trying different options is part of the experience--you'll enjoy your meal a lot more if you lean into that. I've been both during the day and at night. If you go during the day, hit the buffet--it's the best way to sample a wide variety of dishes and figure out what you like. At night, ask your server for recommendations--they'll steer you in the right direction based on your taste. Some of my personal favorites? The Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Chops, and honestly anything with goat. If you want a standout, try the Amritsari Mutton Rara--it's a big favorite of mine. There's a lot more on the menu than I can list here, so check out their website and take your time looking it over before you go. And when you stop in, tell them the old biker dude--"1/2 Time" or "Phatt Panda"--sent you. It won't get me anything, but they'll know I meant it when I said I'd come back and leave an honest review.

We were out and wanted something different for dinner…read more Haven't had authentic food from india in awhile. They usually import the spices which makes the food taste so good when seasoned with the spices , they leave a good taste in your mouth. I was hoping for that experience for my Mom. She has never had Indian food I wanted her to try it & enjoy something different. They didn't have garlic nann. They had no nann! The woman could not speak English so her son told us they only have pita bread. No nann??? I did think it was odd I didn't see it on the menu. We should have left but we stayed. Well the last time we had buttered chicken it was red at a different restaurant. This was not like we have had, so different. My mom made the comment that they give you a lot of rice but that was it. I wanted to have her try all the flavors I have had & enjoyed at other India restaurants. The chicken chunks were tender which was a good thing. They do give a complimentary bottle of water, no cups , no ice just the bottle. You eat with plastic spoons and forks. Sad to have had my Mom say she did not enjoy it. Maybe she will give a chance somewhere else someday. For being almost $18 each it was definitely not worth that kind of money. I'd expect a real silverware to use instead of plastic wear that sits out on the table that other people can touch! We can not recommend this place and it's very highly unlikely that we would eat here again.

We drove 50 minutes to Pensacola to have dinner at Sree's Kitchen, and unfortunately the experience…read morewas disappointing. We ordered dahi puri (too sweet), masala dosa, poori masala, vada sambar, onion dosa, and paneer biryani. The peanut chutney and sambar that came with the dosas and vada were not good, and there was no coconut chutney at all--which is typically a standard accompaniment for South Indian dishes. The aloo masala in the poori combo was completely off. Instead of the usual yellow potato masala with small chunks, it was a brown, overly spiced curry. The masala inside the masala dosa was also very different from what you would expect at a South Indian restaurant. Service was equally disappointing. The vada, which was supposed to be a starter, was brought out at the very end of the meal. On top of that, each person's dish came out one at a time instead of together. This was especially frustrating considering the restaurant only had us and one other group dining--it wasn't busy. The paneer biryani was just okay, and the onion dosa was not good. Overall, the restaurant has a lot to improve, both in terms of service and in getting basic South Indian dishes right.
