If I could give negative stars, I would! Extremely disappointed to find that when my very hungry party of 8 arrived at the Yama Sushi located at 6375 S Rainbow Blvd, Ste 102, Las Vegas, NV 89118, the restaurant is permanently closed! Website: https://www.yamasushirainbow.com/ was not found and phone # 702-485-6586 is not in service. Need to update this listing!

I was the ONLY customer on Tuesday at noon. They win for best IDGAF energy in all of Las Vegas. Soba and tempura tasty, it just took forever to get food. The restaurant is so massive it's hard to get the attention of staff that's only congregated at the sushi bar and bar area.

So many Sushi places in town. Service is what sets this one apart! Typically decorated Sushi Restaurant. We came in as a very large group, opted for the AYCE. We never lacked for anything. Food came at us like we were being assaulted, with delicious rolls, appetizers and Nigiri. Drinks flowed aplenty from the bar. Every staff member was gracious, happy and efficient! So good!

The food was very salty, the selection was very limited, and nothing tasted fresh

We hadn't been here in over a year. Many years ago, this used to be our favorite AYCE sushi spot. We even held our son's one-month celebration party here.for 30-40 ppl We went once last year and the quality was already disappointing--too salty and not fresh. This time, it was still very poor. The 9pm "special" is basically meaningless. If you're worried about losing money, it's better not to offer a special at all. The service was also bad, especially from a middle-aged Korean lady. Two of our friends had the same experience and later realized it was the same person. Her attitude was very unfriendly and it made the meal uncomfortable. Btw -We won't be coming back.

Is nice to go to a restaurant on a Friday night without a 2 hour wait. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing. The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. Everything I ordered was fresh, tasty and it came in huge portions. I forgot to ask if we can do half rolls. But will definitely remember the next time.

As if this place even needs more reviews! It's actually more like 4 and 9/10. I'm knocking a tiny bit off because the tables and the menus were kind of sticky, but the rest of my experience had me wanting to get home fast to write a review. I had cold soba noodles for the first time around two months ago at the Wicked Spoon buffet at the Cosmopolitan. I'm not really a fan of buffets, but I was invited and we went. I had their cold soba noodles and they were life changing. So I was on a quest to find cold sobas off the strip. I got on yelp to look specifically for cold soba noodles with a dipping sauce and found Yama sushi. I made Yama sushi my goal to try their sobas and hoped that had that slightly sweet, "cloudy", unfiltered sake that I don't know the name of. I got there tonight at around 5:30. The staff was so friendly from the server assistant to the wait person who took my order. I got a booth which was nice and comfortable and checked out the menu. The had two types of cold soba noodles: one with tempura and one not. I ordered the one without the extra tempura, along with some nigiri sushi which was yellow tail (really thick and outstanding), ikura (abundant amount of salmon eggs) and eel. The eel was really good but different. I was expecting the grilled, slightly dry, almost roasted type that is typical in sushi. Instead, I got what seemed like it was baked in savory juices. It was so tender , it broke apart easily. But no complaints, it was tasty. As of the sake, they didn't have the type I was craving (the cloudy, unfiltered type, served cold) but my server knew the sake selection and with her knowledge helped me decide on a clear, cold sake with a lychee flavor. This was a very good choice. A tad bit sweeter than I usually like, but still delicious. Then, the treasure I came for: The cold soba noodles! Served in a bento style box with a great sauce AND bunch of tempura!! When I saw it, I thought"Well, I guess I'm paying more than I thought" but decided to not complain and keep it. I'm so so so happy I did! The shrimp tempura was fresh and not fishy at all, the veggie tempura was fresh and almost rich! The breading was not oily at all, very light and let the flavor of the shrimp and veggies shine! Just so yummy! And the vibe. After about a half hour of being there more people came in including a party of about 14. Everyone seemed happy and this was a Tuesday, early evening! And to top it off, my bill was so much less than I thought it would be. I was debating getting the AYCE special, but I knew I was getting sobas, and those sobas are really filling. My server agreed that I should probably go a la carte. I did and it was a good choice. So.....6 pieces of excellent nigiri sushi, a generous amount of soba with huge pieces of tempura and a 6oz bottle of amazing cold sake came to ....less than $44!! Did I mention what friendly staff they have? I even had the door opened for me as I said good-bye. It's open at 11am for lunch and they stay open until 10. Worth a visit.

Seaweed salad - it's great but gets mushy as you get to the bottom. Too much dressing.

I placed an order on Uber eats. It took about an hour. Liked: salmon skin hand roll : crispy salmon skin, flavorful and fresh vegetables. On the smaller size. BOGO California roll was good: imitation crab billing was silky, nice balanced flavor. Enjoyed these two items. The yellow tail and spicy tuna rolls were fishy. I ate one piece of each roll and threw the rest out. I cannot stand any fish taste. The seaweed salad was too wet. When it's too wet, it takes away the crunch od the seaweed. They were great in packing extra ginger. Not enough soy sauce in a small plastic container.

Food was good enough to fullfill my files hunger. Service was awesome at the beginning. But when the friday evening rush. Orders slowed down and made its way to different tables. Ordering system is outdated (paper) I think that's where it gets confusing. Ambiance environment goes to big private rooms to combo tables that can fit 8 people. Bar has a great view of the TV playing sports while private in the south corner was playing NEWS. Our service was awesome (khop khun). gratuity is added for large parties. We paid with cash.

Firefly has been on my mind for a couple of months and I decided to book a reservation here at their southwest location for our monthly date night. They also have another location on Paradise Road. Through Yelp, I made a reservation for 6/20/26 at 7:30pm. I guess a reservation wasn't really necessary because it wasn't busy when we showed up and there were plenty of open tables available. It did start getting a little packed towards the end of our visit, though. Tucked away in the back of the restaurant is a small, cozy bar and more regular seating. We started off with some cocktails. I got myself a La Paloma and my LTP got the Fly Tai (possible pun on Mai Tai?). The La Paloma was very fruity, had a salty orange rim, and a dried orange slice on top. The Fly Tai was also fruity and had a dried rosé on top of its' frothy texture. We were also given complimentary bread along with a scoop of butter. Next, we ordered the tapas. We weren't 100% sure how big they were going to be, so we decided on one to share, one for me, and one for him. We ordered the following; Serrano Sliders, Manchego Mac and Cheese, and Tortillas a la Española. The Serrano Sliders came with crispy onions on the side that you can put on by yourself. I'm not a big meat person anymore but these sliders were totally delicious! The Manchego Mac and Cheese was excellent and probably one of the best mac and cheese dishes I've had in a long time. The Tortillas a la Española had a very colorful orange sauce drizzled on them and they were basically like cubed mashed potatoes. The portions on each tapa were very decent and weren't too big for us, so we ended up sharing all three of them due to their size. I loved everything about this place, especially the mac and cheese. The ambiance that had perfect date night feel to it and the service was excellent from beginning to end. I would love to come back again!

I didn't hate it but it felt far more casual than I was expecting. While I came here hoping to impress, to me, it felt almost too casual. The food is great. Ample selection of all the traditional favorites and some creative dishes. We had Tortilla Española, Gambas al Ajillo, and Pimientos Rellenos (sort of pictured) and also Scallops "Escargot", and crispy Calamares. While everything was tasty the portions were small, especially for the price I thought. A pitcher of Sangria and five tapas ran us $135 before tip for a party of two. I'm not sure the going rate of tapas in Vegas but this felt like a lot to me. Service was attentive and friendly. Would I go back? Yes, I would. Will I be looking for a better option? I will be doing that too. I think I preferred the location on Paradise. More of the Spanish vibe I was looking for (it's been ages since I've been down that way so...to be honest...I'm not even sure it's still there.)

But let's get straight to the issue- the HOSPITALITY! I don't like being negative- I want local businesses to thrive and reach more people, but I need to add this bit of criticism- Lately, coming here feels like you're rolling the dice- and going out to eat and being treated well shouldn't have to feel like a gamble. When I dine here, I don't feel welcome. The bartenders make it clear that they cater to some regulars more than others. It takes the bartender half an hour to get us started with drinks and a menu to look at the food. It's crazy- I come here so often know some of this establishment's staff by name now and yet, I'm met with this recent disservice- The other night I arrive here with my girlfriend to grab some food around 1 am. I see the bartender, Ryan, zooming around, refilling beer and shots, going in and out of the kitchen. It's not that busy of a Friday night- maybe a handful of couples and groups all sitting at the bar. He passed SEVERAL times by me, no acknowledgement, no "Hey, bear with me, I'll be right with ya." 1:30. He finally comes to us apologizing, gets us started on drinks and hands us the menu. We take a couple of minutes to decide. He stands around by the Pos and talks to another bartender (Andrew I think?), who came from the kitchen, then immediately left. Another 10-15 minutes pass. By this point, I was wondering if I should just walk out. Finally, Ryan comes to take our orders. Typically, a server or bartender leads the conversation, right? I'm sure you hear things like "what can I get started for you," or "how would you like your eggs cooked" or "how would you like your Steak cooked" - You've all heard those before, right? Well- nothing. No cue. No asking anything. It felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Unwelcoming. I don't even know if he was paying attention. At one point, it was ME who was the one asking my girlfriend "How do you want your eggs cooked?" when she asked to get the Steak and Eggs because there was ZERO response coming from our bartender to anything we said. The energy felt COMPLETELY off, so I just asked then and there for the check and left off to grab some Cane's instead. An absolutely dismal experience. I don't like making my reviews about me, but I felt like I needed to explain exactly why I'm upset about my recent visits here so anyone reading this can better understand instead of just reading a vague mention of how rude the staff was. Let's get to the Good Bar Bites I recommend if you do come here (maybe day time could give you a different experience): WSKY Burger- I recommend a medium on the patty! Very juicy- the crunch of the onion rings and candied bacon- One of my favorite burgers! Steakhouse sliders- tasty and sharable mini burgers! Although- I need some clarification- Can modifications be made to this dish? One day, while ordering over the phone, a bartender named Zach told me I cannot add an extra slider (I wanted 4 sliders instead of just the 3 that come on the order), I'd have to purchase two whole orders if I wanted more. What's this about? I've never had that issue before, so just curious. Flatbread Pizza- of course pizza is always awesome to munch on. The crunch on the flatbread is so satisfying I honestly don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. It sucks. The bar looks beautiful, the food is delicious. But why have I been treated like an outsider lately? It's not worth going to a place, even if it has good food, if you're not going to be treated well.
