Context is important - this place is in Omaha. Anyway, the conveyor belt concept is cool, I like it quite a bit. This place has it but the food was mid. Mind you, quality was fine and no one got ill. But I've had better at similar in other cities. The plates that went by seemed... phoned in. There was an oyster dish that should've been removed at least an hour ago: you could clearly see the liquid drying at the edges quite a bit. All the plates that we tried were fine. Again, I've had better, but at larger cities. I loved Omaha and have had GREAT steak dinners there. Again, context is important.

Went recently with my brother to experience the sushi train/conveyer belt. I think my son (2yrs old) would love the train/conveyer belt. The sushi was good quality, service was solid and pricing is fair. I'd love to go again with my son and see his thoughts.

This is the first time I've been to a place with the sushi train and conveyor belt. I will say that I really enjoyed it ! It was great trying a variety of options and I enjoyed the pace of the meal. We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, I think I favored the Omaha roll, and the service was great! Very friendly. The place was nice and clean.

The staff here is incredibly kind, and the sushi was delicious! We even asked if we could buy their chopsticks, and the lady was so happy that she gave them to us for free (most people just steal )We had a really lovely conversation with her. Definitely a 10/10 experience - I would recommend it to anyone and will absolutely be back!

Very good service but food was fairly bland. Decore was kinda blah. We had a couple of sushi rolls, soup and salad. Not many people there for lunch. I'll give the another try. They may have had an off day.

The food was decent, but there are better sushi places in Omaha. The sushi pizza was not my favorite (i think it would be so much better with rice as the "crust") but my salmon avocado roll was amazing! The experience is super cool and would make the place worth going! It was very different for Omaha, and we had excellent service! I went two days in a row, and the workers were so friendly. The ambiance was super cool, and I would recommend going for a fun date night or different dining experience than usual!

So fun, kids love it, nice they have a full menu, easy to try new things. Food is good, would be nice if there's better explanations of what is going around but makes the gamble fun.

Such a great place to get some sushi! There were so many options on the belt to choose from, and unique options as well. The staff was super friendly and informative. I will definitely recommend this place for a fun and tasty meal!

You don't have to order off the train and they have a good sized menu. Unfortunately, as I said, what I did try off of the train was just okay, and I wouldn't rush to come back in.

We walked in at 5:15 PM, sat down, and the place was packed within minutes. Not an empty seat in sight--good timing on our part! Our server greeted us quickly, and after a quick look at the drink menu, we went all in with water, Coke Zero (YES, a Coke Zero establishment!), and a cocktail--the amusingly named Sex in Okinawa. No regrets. As the sushi train made its rounds, we grabbed a crab rangoon. It was tasty but had cooled off from its little journey, so we opted for a fresh batch from the kitchen. The spring rolls? Crispy, hot, and on point. I did have to ask for sriracha a few times (our server kept forgetting), but to be fair, they were busy, so I didn't hold it against them. One thing we noticed was that some of the sushi rolls lacked descriptions. A tiny sign with ingredients would be helpful. I am a sushi newbie, and I wasn't about to roll the dice on a Volcano Roll without knowing what was inside. For what I did try: California rolls - classic and exactly what you'd expect. Sexy jalapeño - surprisingly good! (If there was fish in there, I didn't notice.) Tempura sweet potato roll - crispy, slightly sweet, and a winner. Pro tip: They offer a veteran/military discount, but double-check your receipt--ours wasn't applied at first, but they fixed it without issue. Final bill: about $68, and let's be honest, a good chunk of that was drinks. Not bad for a fun dinner out! Would I go back? Absolutely. There's plenty more to try, and the atmosphere makes for a great night with friends. Final Verdict: Worth the ride!

We ordered the Koen Sapporo and Koen Kirin sets, then added the Crown Ribeye to share. Both meals came with miso soup, salad, rice, and a variety of meats, so it was a great way to sample a little bit of everything but not go for the full premium set. The miso soup was a great way to start the meal. It was warm, comforting, though it cooled down pretty quickly, so I'd recommend finishing it before you get distracted by the grill. The house salad came with a carrot ginger dressing that I really enjoyed. It was fresh and flavorful, but surprisingly sweet. I loved the taste, though by the end of the small bowl it became a little sweet for me. One fun surprise was the beef gyoza. I'm much more accustomed to chicken gyoza, so it was nice to try something different. As for the grill, the Toro Beef was the standout. We piled it over our rice and ended up with a delicious little donburi bowl that was easily my favorite bite of the night. The Top Sirloin, Chicken Bulgogi, and Yaki-Shabu Beef were all enjoyable as well. The only downside was that the Spicy Pork Belly and the Crown Ribeye were a bit difficult to eat without knives. We managed, but those thicker cuts would have been much easier to enjoy if we could have cut them into smaller bites. We did have meat scissors but it was a little uncomfortable sharing. I also ordered the salmon nigiri, and I was pleasantly surprised. I'd put it right up there with Blue Sushi in terms of quality. The slices of salmon were incredibly generous, actually larger than the rice, which wasn't quite my preferred balance, but I'd much rather have too much fish than too little. Since I was the only one ordering sushi, our table didn't have chopsticks or soy sauce dishes, though we also never thought to ask for them either. To drink, I had the red sangria, and it was packed with fresh fruit, which I absolutely loved. I ended up ordering a second because it was so refreshing. They're definitely more of a flavorful, easy-drinking sangria than a particularly strong cocktail, but that's exactly what I was in the mood for. Our server did an excellent job. They explained how everything worked, checked on us frequently without hovering, and made the experience feel approachable for first-time diners. Overall, Koen is somewhere I'd happily return. The grill is half the fun, the Toro Beef alone is worth ordering again, and the service made the experience even better. If it's your first visit, my biggest tips are to enjoy your soup before it cools, don't skip the Toro Beef over rice, and if you're ordering thicker cuts like the ribeye, don't be shy about asking for a knife.

I'd prefer if it was just plain. But I do think it said on the menu they would be marinated. The kimchi is way spicier than any other kimchi I've had. Most of the banchan was spicier than I'm used to. The chocolate-martini drink was so yummy. It just tasted like chocolate milk. You have to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the entrance to the restaurant, and it's right above a dispensary, so it smelled a bit like weed at the entrance. Our server was great. The seating host did give us a classic gen-z stare and he didn't move his arms when he walked. Just a fun fact. It didn't affect our meal or experience. If anything it gave us something to giggle about. Overall an ok experience. Minus the cigarette taste, but I think that's just a me problem. Edit: nvm, not just me. My husband said after thinking about it for a few days the taste of the cigarette eggs still lingers in his mouth and he hated it too.

My partner and I walked in looking forward to everything, once we had been sat down by the hostess we were ignored by our waitress Cheyenne. She didn't greet us for almost 10 minutes and our hostess even got us our waters and apologized for the time she had been taking so long. Once she got our order moments afterwards another 10-15 minutes go by until we got our delicious food (served yet again by our hostess and not the waitress.) but during that time our waitress was happily serving the other guests and got their drinks before us. While we were eating our food, I noticed she didn't bother to stop by our table to see how we were doing or ask about our food. She went to the other tables she had and asked them, got them refills and other things they have mentioned. I tried to make eye contact but she would ignore my eyes when we locked, even eyeballed our table and still didn't talk to us. Towards the end I noticed the hostess and our waitress talking and looking at us (assuming the hostess said something to her about us being finished with our food.) She then came to our table saying "I see you guys are full, here are your double deep fried Oreos" and passes off the check. When we gave her the card to pay for she then realized she had forgotten our drinks. which I do appreciate she comped our appetizer, gave us a discount and then made my drink (not her but yet again the hostess.) Did not appreciate the baby talk when she was talking though saying "I am so sowy" and etc. I don't know if this was intentional or not but this was an upsetting experience.

Worth checking their website, Facebook, or Instagram before you go too as they occasionally post coupons. Just make sure to mention it to your server before they ring you up. For food, the salmon and shrimp were the highlights for us. Shrimp comes as a starter for the table, but I ordered extra as part of my combo and it was worth it. The steak was fine, but not the standout in steakhouse country. Fried rice is an extra $4, which is reasonable given how good it is.
