I went to this Korean BBQ spot called Kkondae Dwaeji on Olympic last Friday with some friends, and man... the meat was amazing, the soju was smooth, and the whole vibe was on point. It was a little loud, but honestly, after a few bites and a few sips, I didn't really care anymore. What's funny is--I wasn't feeling great that day. My whole body felt off. But after some pork belly, jowl, and half a bottle of soju, I swear my body just rebooted. I definitely want to go back

We got here right around 4:45 on a Saturday. It was pretty empty. The $3 valet was very open so it was quick and easy to get situated. We ordered the combo 2: brisket, beef belly, short rib, bulgolgi, then added on the frozen pork belly and pork rind. The quality of the meat is sooo good! I'm sad that I live so far away from this spot as it's very affordable and tasty for what you're paying for. They cook for you, which is a plus, and the variety of banchan is abundant. We also got the ssam, which gave large leaves of lettuce and perilla leaves. Honestly, I haven't had good kbbq in a while in la, but this place hit the spot!

Kkondae Kbbq is a great spot to grab dinner if you want a solid kbbq experience in a great atmosphere. We came here on a Tuesday night and we were able to get free parking in the parking lot and there wasn't a wait. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with helping us decide what to get since it was our first time. We ended up getting the large beef combo and an order of the frozen pork belly. Our party size was 4 very hungry people and it was enough food. They cook all the meats for you as well as fill up your sides as you run out. The waitress was kind enough to also throw in a free kimchi fried rice at the end which was amazing. I really appreciated how the meat wasn't over marinated or salty. Sometime at kbbq places I'm guzzling water from the sodium but that was not the case here! The atmosphere is nice and the music wasn't too loud which I liked because we could still have conversation during our meal. I think you get a lot for your money compared to other kbbq à la carte places but it's definitely a place you come to for a special night out. They have bathrooms as well that were relatively clean. Overall I would come back to Kkondae Kbbq! I really enjoyed the experience a the taste of the food.

Omg this is some of the BEST samgyeopsal I've ever had. We brought my sister's gf from South Korea and even she said it's better than most restaurants back home. They took care of us so well. The seats have little cubbies underneath them so you can put your purse, backpack, jacket, etc. so they don't get as smelly. Their bonchon are absolutely delicious! You have to fry their kimchi on the plate. The employees probably refilled our bonchon 3-4x it was that good. They also have their own dipping sauce that is phenomenal. The pork belly quality is top notch and the lunch box after is a great touch. The spicy Naengmyeon was soooo so so good you have to try it. The price is on the higher end but it is 100% worth it. They cook the food for you to perfection. The quality of the meat is great. The homemade bonchon is great. If you have 3 people I do recommend getting the Large for the combo. We got the small combo + naengmyeon + lunch box and we still ended up ordering 1 more thing of thick pork belly ! This place is right in K-Town. They have a small lot to park in but because we went on a weekday, I don't think they charged us for valet or anything but I'm not too sure when it does get busy.

I kept seeing this place all over Instagram so I finally came to try it -- and it did not disappoint! The whole vibe is super fun with that 90's K-pop aesthetic, and the food was actually really good. The meats were fresh, well-marinated, and cooked perfectly on the grill. Service was quick and friendly, and the whole experience felt really smooth and enjoyable. If you're in Koreatown and want a solid KBBQ spot with good flavors and a cool vibe, this place is worth checking out. I'd come back! :)

smoked duck lover here and honestly my first time seeing smoked duck at Korean BBQ!!! started off strong with around 10 types of banchan! First went with the classic beef brisket, and they even had staff helping us grill! Spoiled! made everything so much better! Then came the pork jowl--perfect balance of lean and fat, super crispy and satisfying. Perfect to match with the banchan. Not oily and not feeling to full !! And now, the star of the show... The smoked duck I love how they stir-fried it with bean sprouts and green onions. Perfectly pair with rice! You don't see this often at Korean BBQ spots--definitely worth trying! IG: socalhkfoodies

Needed to try this place after seeing a video of someone enjoying their pig skin and I knew I needed to have some ASAP. The pig skin did not disappoint, it's crunchy, chewy and explodes with flavor. The server was very attentive and tended to our grill, making sure everything was cooked properly and answering our questions on pairing the meat with the sauces. The jeju style sauce is unique to this place and their offerings along with assorted banchan makes the bbq spot stand out. All the meat looked and tasted fresh. The interior is vibey and the restaurant's seating/table choices adds to the experience. I will be back for the pig skin and perilla stem banchan for sure.

Tried KKONDAE K-BBQ in Ktown and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered Combo 2, which is a great choice if you're more into beef. The beef belly and brisket were well-marbled and flavorful, and the thin-sliced beef cooked beautifully on the grill. Service was attentive and helped with changing the grill at the right time. Big plus: minimal smoke, so you don't leave smelling like BBQ. Solid quality and a comfortable experience overall. Would come back.

My friend picked this restaurant and they offer valet parking which is $3 dollar When I walked in and the owner and servers are very hospitable This Korean BBQ has good quality of Pork and I really like it We order combo one ( with kimchi soup) + pork skin The side dishes are good and kimchi soup is surprisingly tasty The night we went is almost full house and people there are drinking and talking here and there The restaurant is playing 90's K-pop music and which makes it more authentic I love it !

Came here with a party of 4 and Got combo number 1 and it came with the following. 냉삼 /Frozen Pork Belly 벌집삼겹살/thick Pork Belly 대패삼겹살/ thin Pork Belly 목살 /Pork Collar 꼰대 된찌 / Beef Paste Soup OR 김치찌개/ Kimchi Soup And 삼색도시락 Namul Lunch Box We also got pork jowl and pork skin that came with some injeolmi. My favorite would be the frozen pork belly and the thick pork belly. Usually I'm not a fan of pork and bbqs because it's usually gamey but none of the pork we ate were gamey at all. For the pork skin, make sure you don't over cook it or it becomes too chewy and won't taste as good. I prefer bean paste soup over kimchi soup. The pancake side dish was free as part of their banchan. We had someone cooking for us but they also left the tongs near us so that we could flip if we want to as well. Parking entrance was on Olympic and you have to pay for valet or self park. Do not turn into the small street because you can't enter from that side.

The old Yangmani restaurant turned into a Korean bbq place that specializes in pork but also has all the guts and some beef options. We ordered the pork combo and the gut combo. The pork combo was really good. There is this special sauce they give you to dip the pork and it was really good. The fried rice after all the meat was really good as well. Service is great but the air circulation was horrible. Hopefully they will fix that. Ample parking which is a plus!

    Honeycomb pork belly
    Jason L.

Service was really great, the host explained all of the cuts of meat to us and also the sauces/dips that came with the dishes. All of the meat tasted fresh, the honeycomb pork belly was thick but not too chewy. The pork skin didn't have the texture I expected, I thought it'd be more crispy like chicharron but it was actually a little chewy? Either way delicious and the spicy sauce/marinades they had went amazingly with the meats. The restaurant was very clean and well ventilated, not smoky and hot like a lot of kbbq places. Also the restaurant has its own very open parking lot which is a huge bonus in ktown.

We asked for extra BBQ sauce and that didn't arrive for another 15 mins. We had to wave down another employee to try to get the sauce to us. I wouldn't recommend this place! Horrible service. Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

Wednesday worker plate Pork ribs…read moreBrisket Cornbread To preface this review, I ordered takeout and ate the food roughly 1 hour after and was slightly cold. The Wednesday worker plate had an assortment of meats and a chunk of cornbread, which I thought was a good way to try some of their various offerings. The barbecue chicken consisted of a leg and a wing piece, which i thought was overall fine. The shredded pork was well seasoned and moist, and the hot link pieces were very flavorful. The beef adobo was my favorite as it had a very deep and rich coconut flavor that complimented the meat. The pork ribs were very tender and juicy and had a good meaty pork flavor. The brisket was also good too. Both these meats reheated well later in the day and was still tasty! The cornbread was also exceptional and eating it, I felt it was more like a dessert but also worked well between bites. The cornbread was moist more cakey, and had a very deep sweet coconut flavor. This is the standout. Overall delicious and recommend!

We ordered four of the most ordered and highly revered items: tri tip, coconut beef adobo, smoked gouda mac, and the cornbread bibingka. * Tri tip: Ours was cold and not tender.. wasn't very flavorful either. Kinda tasted like the forgotten order that's been left drying on the counter for some time. The price is decent for an entree of tri tip though. Comes with a horseradish sauce + vinegar and bbq sauce on the side, but I didn't think any of these accompaniments were strong on their own. Made the tri tip better but not by much. * Coconut beef adobo: One of the better items. Beef chunks were melt in your mouth and the sauce was a good middle between savory and vinegary - balanced out by sweetness from the coconut. * Smoked gouda mac: Would not order again. The big shell macaroni noodles were soggy; the cheese sauce was mild in flavor, clumpy and not satisfying melty; lastly, the panko crust was just there and didn't add anything imo. * Cornbread bibingka: The other better dish of the night - very moist, muffin like crumb, and not too sweet or heavy. Portion is on the smaller side though. My bf who normally isn't a fan of cornbread enjoyed this!

Drinks refilled instantly, plates cleared with ninja precision, and grills swapped out like a Formula 1 tire change. Awesome Great service! Special thanks to the staff and the chef, "wow" that must be me ? Ha ha ha. Clean, modern, inviting, the kind of place where you immediately think, "Yeah... I'm about to eat way too much and I'm okay with that." The lighting hits that perfect "I look good while eating beef" glow, and the vibe is chill without being sleepy. Such an Inviting ambiance!
