This restaurant got more popular since Arden Cho mentioned this was her favorite so you'll see signed posters of demon hunters. They have games playing on screens so it was nice to watch and eat. I have BEEN looking for a good intestine KBBQ spot. We've tried them all, including Ahgassi Gopchang, but they're either too expensive or only come in combos with other meats I don't really want. It's honestly so frustrating. We finally got to try Kkondae BBQ and were super excited. We ordered the combo with large and small intestine, beef honeycomb, and beef abomasum with a choice of soup. The large size was $114.99 and comfortably fed 3 people. There's also a smaller version for $89.99. The interior was also really charming. They had a bunch of old Korean movie posters everywhere and it genuinely felt like eating at a street stall in Korea. They were also playing old Korean ballads, so all the feels were there. I would skip the marinated pork skin though. The texture was rubbery and it felt overpriced for what was basically teriyaki-flavored throwaway cuts at $37. We came here on a Tuesday night and we were able to get free parking in the parking lot and there wasn't a wait. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with helping us decide what to get since it was our first time. We ended up getting the large beef combo and an order of the frozen pork belly. Our party size was 4 very hungry people and it was enough food. They cook all the meats for you as well as fill up your sides as you run out. The waitress was kind enough to also throw in a free kimchi fried rice at the end which was amazing. I really appreciated how the meat wasn't over marinated or salty. Sometime at kbbq places I'm guzzling water from the sodium but that was not the case here! Omg this is some of the BEST samgyeopsal I've ever had. We brought my sister's gf from South Korea and even she said it's better than most restaurants back home. They took care of us so well. The seats have little cubbies underneath them so you can put your purse, backpack, jacket, etc. so they don't get as smelly. Their bonchon are absolutely delicious! You have to fry their kimchi on the plate. The employees probably refilled our bonchon 3-4x it was that good. They also have their own dipping sauce that is phenomenal. The pork belly quality is top notch and the lunch box after is a great touch. The spicy Naengmyeon was soooo so so good you have to try it. The price is on the higher end but it is 100% worth it. They cook the food for you to perfection. The quality of the meat is great. The homemade bonchon is great. If you have 3 people I do recommend getting the Large for the combo. Needed to try this place after seeing a video of someone enjoying their pig skin and I knew I needed to have some ASAP. The pig skin did not disappoint, it's crunchy, chewy and explodes with flavor. The server was very attentive and tended to our grill, making sure everything was cooked properly and answering our questions on pairing the meat with the sauces. I recommend saving yourself the hassle and just going with one of the combos. Combo A is an all pork option and Combo B is a mix of pork and beef. We went with combo A, and between the cuts of pork, the soup, egg, and the fried rice at the end, it was enough food for 2-3 people. The meat was good quality and everything was solid overall. They cook everything for you and the service was super attentive and excellent, especially considering that they opened recently. Not much more you could want from a Korean bbq. There's easy $3 in the attached lot, and the restaurant is open until late. The first time I was here we got combo one and an order of the beef large intestine, and it was all more than enough for three people, we ended up taking the rice back. The second time, we got combo two for two people, and they ended up mixing in the last meat into the rice for us to take back. They give so much fresh banchan that go great with the meat, they refill is as needed too. They also have unique dipping sauces that pair with the meat. They grill the meat for you to perfection, but don't make you feel rushed at all. The combos come with a soup and a mixed rice, and each one is definitely for three people. I'm not really a big fan of pork but this place really wowed me and changed my mind about pork. I already went twice because it was so good. I was also surprised at the reasonable prices. They were all $25-35 range. If you go out to eat these days bbq is $55-60 and soup is in the 20s. Some of their items come out smoked partially grilled and the server grills the rest of the meat for you when it gets to the table. The thick pork belly after it was done grilling became crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I'm not really sure what they do to it but it's not like the pork belly I've ever had before. I'm not even joking when I say it's the best I've had. The kimchi gooksoo ($11) is a must. It's sooo good and refreshing. It went perfect with the bbq they have. The pork skin 돼지껍때기 (not to be mistaken with fat..) was crishpy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Went so well with the powder they give you. It's high in collagen so it's super popular in Korea rn. The pork ribs come out sliced and also smoked. The meat was so juicy every bite was perfection. You can't forget K-Dessert! At the end they have options of fried rice for $(11)Get it!! It's sooo good. The naemul (veggies) they use for the fried rice just hits different than the regular kimchi rice other places have. Probably one of my favorite KBBQ spots now! I went yesterday night with my family after seeing this place on social media. The restaurant used to be where the original Yangmani used to be before they moved to Western Ave. We got Combo #2 and added a serving of pork belly, which I would definitely recommend you do if you are getting the Combo #2. The sauce that the pork belly comes with cuts through the fattiness of the pork. Definitely don't dip if you don't like fishy sauces but if you are into that, highly recommend. The banchan spread here is no joke! Its very plentiful and they come back with refills when they see that you are out. They have their own lot but it is valet after 5 PM, so if you don't want to pay that, get there right when they open. The term Kkondae is slang for a middle aged man in Korea. When I sat in the restaurant, eating the food, looking at the interior, talking with my family, it seriously felt like I was 10-15 years back in time, where this level of service was the norm for most Korean BBQ restaurants. Now that I have become a middle aged man, I can sadly say that places like these are not too plentiful in Koreatown these days.
