We went to the one on the Stevenson which has limited menu. Make sure you check the place and menu before you go. Most of the Chinese places I have been to are rude, but this place is different they suggest their specials and must try items. All the dumplings are served super fast and fresh in the dumpling basket. We had chicken and mushroom dumpling it is the best overall and it tasted like a soup dumpling. Shrimp dumpling is good. Spinach dumpling is different the color of the dumpling made it very appetizing. Also the pan fried chicken buns are really good. Coming to the desserts, I recommend to skip them they are not that special. Mango pudding is made of concentrate and no fruity flavor to it. We went to the location on Stevenson street. This location does not offer cart service but you can order off the menu. The service was gracious and efficient. The ambience is nice, with a large patio outside (we didn't use it because even with heaters it was a bit too cold on that day). The menu is not particularly extensive but what they serve is good quality. All of the shumai we ordered was very good. The pork buns were okay -- a bit too sweet. The tea was good. The Chinese broccoli was not good -- cold and not particularly flavorful. The soup dumplings were decent (if you want really good soup dumplings then the Dumpling Home is the place to go). Made a reservation for lunch today (Sunday) at 1pm. They have outdoor dining only right now but there are a good amount of tables set up spaced well apart. This was my first time eating here but my boyfriend was craving dim sum and likes their offerings. When we arrived, it was not busy at all. We checked in with the host and were asked to scan the QR code for a digital menu. Their paperless menu is probably the best that I've seen. They have vibrant, labeled pictures of all the food and drink items followed by an itemized list with prices. They ask you to begin your order with the host first before getting seated to avoid too much contact, but you are welcome to order more at the table also. All their place settings are disposable. Each place setting is wrapped up in plastic together and includes a plate, chopsticks, fork, napkin, alcohol wipe, and wet wipe. We got tea and water which came in to-go cups. Portions of soy sauce and hot chili sauce also arrived in small containers. The food here is on the pricey side for dim sum. We tried a few different items including the pork & shrimp siu mye, steamed bbq pork bun, stuffed lotus leaf, mandarin dumpling, shrimp dumpling, and mango pudding (for dessert). We were happy with the quality of the food and flavor. The service here is excellent. The food arrived quickly and cleared promptly, as well. I am around usually at this place for lunch. The lines can be long sometimes depending on the day of the week, but I usually come on Fridays and it's not very bad around 1 PM. It's a great place for having lunch with teammates. It accommodates for a lot of dietary restrictions, except a few that like Shellfish allergy. DAM is great and good for lunch meetings. This review is for YankSing 2 Go which is in the Rincon center. First, it's really sad that the Rincon center is down to just two take-out places. I remember when this place had a bunch of places including a "waterfall" feature that came out of the ceiling. Now, it's just a mostly empty shell with very little foot traffic if at all. Regardless, the 2 Go place is still da place to go for affordable Chinese takeout. I went for the Phoenix which is my fav, and at $11.35 is still one of the most affordable combo meals in the finance district. However, make sure to order online a head of time. Everything is full of flavor and the carts and atmosphere are fun with friends or family to just pick and point and dive into dishes immediately. If you're looking for an authentic dim sum experience, skip this place. For a very expensive price, you get mediocre food and a limited dim sum menu. When I go eat dim sum, I'm expecting to order a variety of items, not 3 orders of one item. They don't offer classics like flat rice rolls or any sweet buns (custard, lava custard, taro, etc.) Most of the food on their menu is fried. For sweet items, they only offer three items, which one is orange jello. The last time I've seen orange jello on the menu must have been 20 years ago. The only tasty thing I had were their egg tarts. They have a QR code you use to place your order, pay and tip at the same time then your food will be delivered. So you never get a waiter/waitress. So we walked over here from the Intercontinental Hotel. And I don't know if it was the masks or the day, but this was not as good. Spear Street used to have servers roaming with carts, offerring various dumplings, and you could order as you ate. Here we had to order all our food at once and felt very rushed. Spear Street has a cozy indoor dining room, but here you are pressed against giant outdoor windows. Feels like a cafeteria where you should eat standing up. Food was OK but the experience was lacking. Walk a few more blocks and go to Spear Street. read more
