Wow! I found my new favorite Greek restaurant!! This place was so delicious the owner was there working and he was so kind! I got the Charlie sandwich with Greek fries and a kids grilled cheese for my daughter( which came on a pita with fries!). Everything was amazing! That was the best tuna sandwich I've had in a long time! I want to go back in just to get a gyro to go for later! The place was cute and quiet! The owner mentioned he was moving to a different location soon close to campus blvd! Can't wait to go and try it out!

This is a very unassuming restaurant in a sort of industrial part of Worthington. Definitely a sort of hole in the wall, easy to miss place but def worth the drive and find! The owner was super friendly and recognized us as first timers. He provided a quick run down of the special of the day. I ordered the combo number 1 which is a gyro pita with fries and a drink. We also got the trio dip which had hummus, spicy feta, and eggplant. All the food was really good and came out really fast. The pita on the gyro and for the dips was so soft and fluffy with a nice crisp to it as well. The fries were also great dipped in the various dips. The owner actually came out and gave us a free brownie dessert with ice cream to welcome us, which was a super nice gesture. Definitely a great little Greek restaurant with amazing food and service! They also do delivery so if its too middle of nowhere for you, get some delivery!

It's tough finding authentic gyro places especially since all of them are named in some form of *appy Greek. I took a chance on this place and I'm happy I did. This place is hidden behind some warehouse-looking buildings. You can drive behind them or a more annoying way around them. Stepping inside, the place is clean and very busy with employees operating a well-oiled machine. One of them was very good at multitasking, working on an order while giving me full attention and asking what I needed. The flavors of the gyro were fantastic, probably one of my top gyros. The fries were a little incomplete with flavor. Some fries were super flavorful and others more bland. The price was not the worst that I've seen either.

Great food. Amazing service, the owners will make you feel like you are a family friend within minutes of being there. The gyros here are worth getting, they carve the meat fresh per order and you get a lot of meat. They are great at modifying things super friendly. Inside and out side seating. Spanakopita is delish here-it is very big. The hummus is also amazing. The ambiance is more like a deli, which somehow really works here. They have hand painted murals and a lot of windows The only con is it can be tricky getting into the lot as there is a median that makes entry tricky- so If you need to turn left to access restaurant drive:. You can risk the uturn (dont recommend) just turn left and keep turning at every left turn that comes your way.... It loops you into the back lot.

This place rocks! The gentleman that helped us was fantastic. So friendly and accommodating. We immediately felt like we were part of the family or old friends. All of the food was delicious. Special shoutout to the 3 dips appetizer (hummus, eggplant, and spicy feta). My partner and I could've eaten just a plate of the dips for dinner. And to top everything off, we received a complimentary dessert for it being our first visit. The location is a bit awkward with the turn in from a divided highway. They do offer delivery and contactless ordering though. We will definitely be back!

Just got home from Yappy Greek and I'm so pleased with my experience. There was just one other couple there to get food when we got there, and the family's kids were cleaning tables and sitting at a table. We ordered the hummus appetizer and I got the chicken bowl, while my boyfriend got the chicken platter. The hummus bowl was presented so beautifully and it was incredible. I'm a sucker for fresh hummus. The pita was nice and soft and a perfect compliment to the hummus. Our food was ready incredibly fast and I was too excited to eat that I forgot to take a photo! The tzatziki sauce was perfect temperature and complimented the chicken, rice, and vegetables so well. My boyfriend even liked the tzatziki and he's not a huge condiment fan. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, and everything was filling! I cannot wait to come back and try more menu items. It's super close to where we live and I love trying new things. My boyfriend, who just started trying Greek food, even suggested that it's our new place. The owner and the whole family was incredibly kind and you could tell how passionate they are about their restaurant. I will be happily giving them my business from now on!

Mediterranean is one of my absolute favorite cuisines. This is my first time at Yappy Greek and it was amazing. I ordered a Greek salad with gyro and it was one of the best I've had. The veggies were all very fresh and the gyro was perfect. My boyfriend had the gyro combo with fries and he says it was the best he's ever had. His fries were delish. We were both hungry and distracted so we forgot to take photos but we did take some of dessert. We will be back very soon!

This is a small, unassuming restaurant on Wilson Bridge Rd. I only knew about it because I worked down the street. I came in and ordered the combo #1, a gyro with fries and drink, but I made my fries Greek fries (an extra $5.29), I believe. I LOVE Greek fries, and these were good. They had a good amount of sauce, which is how I love to eat them. My gyro was filled to the brim with gyro meat with veggies on top. I also ordered rice pudding with cinnamon for dessert. It was a nice, sweet way to end my savory meal. All in all, I thought it was a very solid meal. The cashier/worker that served me was very friendly and allowed me to get a drink that was not supposed to be included with the meal to encourage me to come back. And come back, I shall!

The Yappy Greek is just what it's called, a Greek restaurant. This is usually my go to when I take the street route on my way home from Polaris. Conveniently located with ample parking on their lot. I love their Gyros and salads. The staff here are friendly and fast and are often speaking Greek to each other.

I love it here wish wish I found it sooner. Great food authentic Greek. Best Greek salad I have ever had! Spicy feta is a must. They have some great sandwiches. The people are great the atmosphere is terrific I am still listening for the ocean! I have come 2 days in a row. Had the gyro platter BIG PORTIONS get the fries with Cajun sauce and spicy feta. If you can find a lamb shank with saffron rice and vegetables that taste this good, go elsewhere. Did I mention the meal was $13.99 you can not find this quality for this price anywhere. Found this place though Yelp and are so happy we did! Food was great - generous portions for the price and TASTY! The only downside - my kiddos weren't fond of the seasoned fries, but hubby and I liked them. Service was great, and our waitress kept our glasses filled. read more

If you haven't been here in a while, do yourself a favor and try it again. Yaopy Greek had stepped up their game with better food and better atmosphere than I remember from a year or two ago. I had the Gyro salad and ate in, vs carry out. Everyone working there was friendly and the right amount of attention. Nice atmosphere for quick Greek. I liked that I could sit and be waited on, vs order at the counter. They still have counter ordering for take out. The gyro salad was very good. Nice portion of meat and good stuff in the sald. I only wish they'd thrown in a couple olives. The tzaki sauce was the right portion for the dressing. Other places I've run out. It may have been a bigger portion, or it may be the better gyro meat needed less. Also, Pepsi products which mean Mt Dew which is always better than restaurants that only serve coke products. read more

Really delightful lemon chicken w rice and grilled veg entree. Veg were mostly squash. Gyro, grape leaves, baklava were solid (skip the chocolate). Didn't much care for the spicy feta app--very vinegary. read more

This was our first time eating at Yappy Greek. My husband thought his Gyro was the best he's had anywhere! I ordered the chicken bowl. It was very tasty and a large serving. One of the best Greek/gyro places I've been to in Columbus. We tried a few of the different chicken and gyro pitas and some sides and everything was high quality and tasted good- also the price was super fair and the amount of food they give you was very generous. Let me begin by saying I NEVER write yelp reviews. A place must be stellar to receive my time & stars. This place is the BEST Greek restaurant in the Columbus area. And being a Los Angeles transplant that means something. Since moving to this area I have been so very uninspired when it comes to dining out. I've found very few restaurants that are worthy of my money. But then I found Yappy's! The flavors are so vivid and bright, the food is fresh, and the owners value their customers....I cannot wait to go back and explore the rest of Yappy's menu!!! read more

AMAZING. The best hummus I've ever had in my entire life. Multiple times I pointed my fork at my plate and just said "this" as I was eating. Anyone who knows anything knows that's the sure sign of an incredible dish. I long to go back one day when I'm in Columbus and partake of such a bountiful meal. But until then, I'll eat Chipotle or something stupid in Utah because there's not good Mediterranean food here. read more

Food is usually good, but lately about 50% of the time they screw something up with my order. Sometimes it is minor, sometime it is major. Today was a doozy. This time I ordered a Mario's sandwich, which the menu says is turkey, ham, and salami with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and jalapenos on Ciabatta bread. Sounds great! I got a sandwich comprised of turkey, ham, and roast beef, with cheese, tomato and onion on a sub bun. I checked what I got against their menu. They don't even have a sandwich like what I got on the menu! Its like someone decided to make something up and give it to me. It tasted alright, but was not was I wanted, and isn't even a reasonable mix up since it they don't have that on the menu in the first place. read more

I've been a few times and there seems to be no consistency with the falafel pita. The falafel was burnt to crisps and not even in the typical round form. The fries tasted like they were deep fried 6 times and smothered in a can of seasoning. Super disappointing. read more

If you're looking for excellent but inexpensive greek food this place is your spot. The service, value, and food all exceeded my expectations. Their lunch specials give a ton of bang for the buck with a small appetizer, gyro, and fries/onion-rings/salad for just $7.99. Update: lunch special raised to $8.99. We picked up food from here the other night based on photos I'd seen on Yelp. What a great call! The food was so fresh and delicious and plenty to share. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter with rice, salad and pita. The chicken was super tender and flavorful. The pickled turnips on the crisp salad were perfect and the homemade hot sauce spiced things up nicely. The best part was talking to the family that owns the restaurant. Stopped in here randomly when dropping a kiddo I was babysitting off at hockey practice. His is one of the best Greek restaurants I've ever been to. Great, friendly service and the food was amazing! It's not really within my normal "local" area when I venture out for food or drinks, but Yappy Greek will definitely take me out of my normal comfort zone! Can't wait to get back! read more

We ate here for the first time and loved it. The food was excellent on it's own, but it's the people running it that sets it apart from so many other restaurants. We ordered the gyro plate and chicken shawarma. I highly recommend the spicy feta for some extra kick. We finished with the baklava. We'll definitely be back. read more

Love salads but hate lettuce? Ask for a Greek village salad with gyro meat... it's the BOMB! I order them everywhere I go... Def one of the best I've had! The gyro meat was great, awesome tzaziki sauce, great service. my roomie got a regular Greek salad and it looked great too - not a fan of lettuce but they use a nice spring mix - it looked beautiful! read more

There were about 6 to go bags on the shelf along with mine. When I mentioned to the cashier that I was surprised it wasn't busier, she said it'll be busier tomorrow. I said the day after St Pat's? No answer. Another not good sign in my mind. When I got home, the wrapped sandwich was bigger than my hand but not very tall. The paper had areas of grease which is a good sign for this sandwich. The corned beef itself was tender but there wasn't as much of it, maybe an inch high and 1/3 of the bread had no corned beef. I also could not taste the thousand island dressing. The rye bread was toasted but pretty soggy. The crust was mostly crunchy. The bread slices were paired upside down putting a narrower side a larger side against each other. There is not enough sauerkraut and it is not very sour. I was given the choice of a dill or garlic pickle but I cannot tell you how it was because they didn't put it in the bag. I expected this sandwich to have so much meat in it, I could eat for multiple days for $18. Again, disappointed. Maybe I should've gotten the deli sized version but paying that much for a sandwich... The inside of the deli is fun and it's obvious it's been around a long time and has been well loved. I wanted to like Katzinger's but since the price and the quality don't match, I cannot.

I've been a connoisseur of Greek food, and in particular gyros for some time now. I've had a gyro at nearly every Greek eatery in Columbus it seems like, and finally I decided to give the rather unassuming Yappy Greek a try while I was out that direction. The service was excellent. Immediately I felt as though I was in a home. The staff were courteous and professional. My drink never went empty, and they often checked to see if anything was needed. The food itself was par excellence. The gyro, while somewhat unassuming due to its ubiquitous nature was phenomenal. The meat had a nice fat content unlike most other gyros I've had, and the meat had a nice crispy exterior and a great flavor. In lieu of fries or rice that come standard with a gyro and a small salad, I was given a larger salad on their place. Excellent presentation. It came to the table looking better than dishes I've seen at so called upscale eateries. Visually impressive, and delicious as well. Definitely try to support this small establishment so they can continue to stay in business, they certainly deserve it and you owe it to yourself to try it. read more

We decided to try someplace new today, and ended up at Yappy Greek. Though the location is small and not very eye-catching from the outside, the cheerful atmosphere inside and incredible Greek food all but make up for the exterior. Loved the wonderful Greek music playing in the background. And talk about personalized service... WOW! The owner brought us a little hummus to try since it was our first time, and then he even threw in an extra baklava with our dessert order as a surprise! The calamari was perfectly cooked, and nicely presented with various fresh vegetables and creamy dressing. My husband tried the lentil soup (not typically something he likes), and he raved about its amazing flavor from start to finish. He tried the Reuben and Onion Rings while I had a large Greek Salad -- both entrees were just delicious. We're so glad we chose to go at a "slow" time of day (4:00pm), as we had the opportunity to engage in a very pleasant conversation with the owner... such a nice man! Ok folks try this place - you won't be disappointed! this was our first time going tonight, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome while we looked over the menu. I ordered the willies sandwich with sweet potato fries, and this is definitely one of the best Reuben sandwiches I've had. I ordered kids cheeseburgers for my daughters, and here is what they had to say: statement from daughter#1: this food is so good! This is the best food I've had. they have the best cheeseburgers! Statement from daughter#2: this is like a 10,000 out of 10,000 so good the best cheeseburger I have ever had. if I have not tried it I would be missing out a lot. We will definitely be going back and trying other things off the menu I'm particularly interested in the lamb which the gentleman recommended was definitely something to should try. Not happy. Food is good. But I write this to the owner who it does look like reads the reviews. I do enjoy the salads BUT... I bought a Regular gyro salad at $8.99, not their large at $10.99. I asked for no bread and no pepperoncini's but extra onion and tomato. I was charged $2 more. For WHAT? I was also not forewarned. Would you have reduced the price if I didn't ask for extra, as i didn't want bread or peppers? The owner, I believe, did hand me $2 in cash from his pocket and apologized. Now I will ask you as it looks like you do read your reviews, to please discontinue this practice. The 2 Greek family owned restaurants I worked for years ago would not do that because as you know it all evens out at the end of the day. I placed a $55 order through DoorDash last week at 6:30 PM. The order didn't arrive. Called the restaurant that said it was "my problem" (thanks guys, sooo empathic of you, way to go with a customer). Called DoorDash and, while they figured out where the driver was, they gave me the option to get a refund or re-order. Opted to re-order. The restaurant accepted the order. Twice. I actually got 2 emails saying the order was accepted. Then the restaurant called me to confirm we wanted to re-order, I confirmed it. Next thing you know is that after waiting for 1.5 hrs I get an email at 8 PM saying the restaurant has cancelled my order and they're closed. Well....YOU COULD HAVE NOT ACCEPTED IF YOU WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH A RESTAURANT, I WILL NEVER GO THERE. GOOD LUCK! read more

The food was delicious! I would highly recommend. I ordered the large #1 Greek gyro combo which comes with fries and a drink for $7.99. I thought the portion size was above adequate, and I have a fairly large appetite. I inquired what the most popular meals ordered were and the owner made some suggestions for next time. He actually upgraded my fries to the Greek fries with feta, olives, and banana peppers free of charge, and I honestly was very impressed with the wonderful combination of flavors. I will always get these frie from now on. I thought the gyro was equally as good. Great service, very friendly, professional, and prompt. I'm a long time customer of Yappy Greek I've tried many dishes at the restuarant, and to this day have not once been disappointed or regretted trying any. Hands down the best Greek food I've ever had. I even use to work for a Greek restaurant on Sawmill, this place blows all other Greek restaurants in or around Columbus away. Quality ingredients used, it never tastes reheated, or store bought, tastes fresh everytime! The cook's seem well trained they've always cooked my dishes to the perfect temperature everytime I stop in. This place won't put a hole in your wallet either. Another girl walked up to the counter and completely ignored us because she was on the phone. The original girl came back to counter and totally ignored my husband and I. We took our class of 25 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to Yappy Greek. It was a great experience as many of our students had never tried Greek food before. The owner and his staff were more than accommodating and worked fast to get the food served to everyone. All the students enjoyed this new experience. I work nearby so I tried it. The food was great and I LOVE that it's family run. I eat here several times a month now and it never gets old. I have had the gyros, shawarma, and the lamb. The lamb plate was almost too pretty to eat. I have also had the baklava which was also excellent. The menu is quite large and their are always neat dishes to take home in the case. The smoked salmon was perfectly cooked, not too dry, the yellow rice nicely done and the veggies just right. My husband had the parmesan chicken and his thoughts are the same.
