I came in for a pedicure and was unable to properly see my toenails during much of the service because one technician was working on my feet while another was doing my fingernails. Between the UV light and the large pillow in my lap, I could not clearly see what was being done to my toenails. The technician cut the sides of multiple toenails without asking my preference and changed the shape of my nails from straight to rounded. As a result, nearly every toenail ended up a different shape, including a noticeably lopsided big toe. The polish was also not applied evenly near the cuticle area. What was most disappointing was the response when I brought up my concerns. Instead of apologizing or attempting to correct the issues, I was met with a rude and defensive attitude and told that I should have said something sooner. It's unreasonable to blame a customer for not noticing mistakes when they cannot clearly see the work being performed and the technician never checks in about nail shape or trimming preferences. A professional nail salon should communicate with clients, confirm preferences before making permanent changes, and handle concerns respectfully. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below that standard.

Alina, my nail technician, did an incredible job with a dry manicure using the "cat eye" technique -- the results were stunning! She was meticulous, gentle, and clearly very skilled. Lilya took care of my dry pedicure, and it was absolutely perfect. She expertly removed all the dead skin, and now my feet feel amazing -- smooth, refreshed, and truly rejuvenated. After waiting about 15 minutes, I asked how much longer it would be and was told "just a few more minutes." They looked stressed and busy, so I decided to be patient and didn't want to keep asking or add to their stress. Unfortunately, another 30 minutes passed before we were finally seated in the pedicure chairs. Even then, it was another 10 minutes before someone started working on me and about 15 more minutes before someone began working on my niece. At that point, we had waited about an hour despite having scheduled appointments. After we were seated, two other customers came in and said they also had appointments. They were asked to have a seat and they would be helped shortly. When the technician started working on my niece, she asked her what she wanted and my niece said she wanted a French tip. The technician immediately seemed annoyed and in a rude tone told her she shouldn't get French tips because her nails were too short and that it would take too long. The way it was said came across as her request was an inconvenience because they were already running behind. Meanwhile, the two other customers who were waiting asked how much longer it would be. They were told about 10 minutes. After those 10 minutes passed, they asked again because they still had not been helped. At that point, the technician helping my niece gave them gift cards to come back another day. They had waited a total of 15 min. What really bothered me was that after those two customers left, the same technician came back to my niece and told her that she actually had really nice, large nail beds that were perfect for French tips. That completely contradicted what she had just told her earlier. The service itself was also disappointing. I paid for the deluxe pedicure, but my feet were not scrubbed and the massage lasted maybe one minute. I had also specifically requested a soak-off and a new set for my nails, a fill was done instead. We ended up spending around $250, waited more than an hour past our appointment time, and didn't even receive a simple "thank you for your patience" or any acknowledgment of the delay. I completely understand that businesses sometimes get behind, and I was more than willing to be patient. However, when you have scheduled appointments, wait over an hour, receive rushed services that are not what you requested or paid for, and are made to feel like your requests are an inconvenience, it becomes unacceptable. Unfortunately, despite having a good experience here in the past, after this visit I will not be returning. Update: less than a week, my nails are lifting

We called to ask if she could do sculpted nails-- and you guys, not only did she know what those were....she hadn't done a set in forever and still agreed to look at mine. So we made a same day appointment for just me. Upon seeing my partner's nails, she said she couldn't let her leave like that and went out of her way to correct the precious salon'a mistake. Then, She looked at my nails, said she thought she could fix it, and searched for the metal forms-- not only did she literally search and find the right equipment for me, She used supplies from her own personal stash to get the job done. Nothing about my appointment offered "ideal" conditions for a technician, and Hannah not only made it work but she went Above and BEYOND. I am SO particular about my nails. I'm a New York City girl, who is used to top tier nail service-- and I can say with complete confidence that Hannah is one of the best nail technicians I've ever encountered. She is SO skilled, very transparent with her clients (she was honest with me about the terrible state the last tech left one of my nail beds in and told me it could affect how well my nail held), and her prices are completely reasonable-- especially for someone with as much skill as she has. She could charge double and I'd still come back to her. I know this a really long review but here's the TLDR: call Hannah and book an appointment, she's the best in the Bay Area. (Also you should totally give sculpted gel extensions a shot. I want them to be a thing)

The shop was beautifully decorated, and they took the time to make sure that the salon itself had safety precautions: there were plastic barriers in between the massage chairs, which definitely reassured me. Funnily enough, Hannah was finishing some spicy Thai food, so was coughing a lot. Fine if it wasn't during covid times, but it may not have been the best food choice prior to seeing customers during the (hopefully) tail end of a pandemic. Feeling like something different today, I opted to get catseye gel polish. After picking my color, my nail technician started my manicure. She asked me what shape I wanted and there was a handy sheet that showed the different shapes - I opted for my regular square with rounded edges. She cut, filed and shaped them - but they weren't exactly the shape I wanted. It was close enough, so I just went with it. My nails turned out okay - the catseye color was pretty and I liked the look of it. The massage was good. However, the shape and application of polish needed some work. Overall - it just felt rushed. I was then shown to my pedicure station and someone else worked on my toes. The pedicure went fine, the colors chosen were pretty and everything went okay. Again, I enjoyed the massage and was able to relax. However, at the end, I was left at the station and my technician walked away. I assumed I was to wait for a while while my nails dried since I got regular polish on my toes. This would have been fine, but my technician never came back to check on my toes or tell me when I could leave. After half an hour, I checked my toes and tried to make eye contact so she could come back. After another 10 mins of sitting and trying to get her attention, she came back and I asked if I was good to leave. Overall, the 1st nail technician and owner(?) was welcoming when I came in. I liked the color that I got on my nails, but would prefer a different shape and a thinner application of polish. It ended up lifting within a week and peeling off after a week and a half. 2nd technician who did my toes was efficient, but I would have liked some communication about how long to wait and coming back to check on my toes. I will go back and try one more time as my friends highly recommend one of the technicians.
