This isn't my first time here, but I will say their dishes have changed. Didn't want any alcohol so I settled for the passion fruit lemonade and it was very refreshing. They gave me a sample of the lavender iced tea but I wouldn't order it. Outside seating is great if you want to hear the conversation because it is loud and noisy inside, just super busy. The burger I ordered wasn't the same as in the past but they did make it to my liking with only giving me half the cheese, so that was super great. The Ahi poke stack was fresh and very delicious. This place is has great customer service, because shrimp tacos were go off the menu after a certain time and our meal time was 7ish, so they catered to my friend and made the shrimp tacos. My server was Prompt & very pleasant today. I ordered the Al Pastor Fish Taco lunch special. It is Grilled Cod with pineapple, cabbage, green onions, cilantro, crema & guacamole which sounds so delicious. There are two reasons why I gave a lower star review today. I was really looking forward to these tacos but unfortunately the fish was mushy with very little flavor. As I ordered my server asked if I wanted the signature, curly or sweet potato fries. What she neglected to inform me was that there was an add on fee for the sweet potato fries, so my $13 lunch special turned into a $16 lunch. I don't like surprises! I gave the hubs an option of where he wanted to go for Father's Day and he said he'd always wanted to give this place a try. It wasn't too busy which was nice and unexpected. We were seated quickly although we were in the weirdest booth seat I've ever experienced. Our legs dangled like it was a high top table but in a booth. I would never want to be seated here again! After perusing the menu he decided to try the bacon jalapeño jam burger and I tried the Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak burger. We also got the crispy glazed brussel sprouts and a wild child and IPA from the bar. Everything was delicious! Our server was nice and the food came out in a great amount of time. Quick review as it was my first time at Eureka and probably 6 or 7 years and today offered exceptional food for a burger spot but also offered top-tier service at Eureka! on Stockdale Highway! I'm pretty picky anyway and very picky about the type of ground beef I will eat so in this case I was of course hesitant on going but my daughter offered to pay so well you know, a free meal it's a free meal in most cases anyway , The burger I had at this place was pretty good not necessarily phenomenal but you can tell they were made with noticeably fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the fries are perfectly crisp and flavorful. Overall for free meal( my daughter paid for it) it was pretty dang good. I like the atmosphere in this place looks pretty chill as a bar and eatery and the outside patio is a really good looking area to eat and people watch. To top it off, Jerry provided outstanding customer service, taking over apparently for waitress who was too busy ignoring us in the first 2 minutes we were in there before he stepped up in the mostly empty section we were in, anyway back to Jerry--he was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and made the entire dining experience almost absolutely seamless. read more

The menu is very well balanced for many different tastes so I can always find something new to try with my dietary restrictions lol I'm sensitive and menu fear is real! What a fun experience- I'm on town from out of state and of course your weather is always top conversation. We still accepted the dining in the patios it was wonderful with the breeze coming through and we were visited by my first experience of a road runner- I only have memories of the cartoon. Carmen was our server and she went over and beyond including offering us to change tables when another friend should up. I had just been released from the hospital ( emergency) if 4 days and she was able to get me a deconstructed poke bowl at my request. My daughter had the nachos which were delicious also. All that to say our bill was about $80 even with happy hour deals on the apps, beer, and 1 burger. So more than we were expecting. My favorite meal here is the American burger with no bun they can serve any burger this was over a bed of arugula or romaine. Our first time at an Eureka! and won't be our last. This place was fantastic! We've been driving through Bakersfield from 58 to 99 north for literally decades. We've tried everything we could see from the freeway over that time and never found anything good. We had given up on eating in Bakersfield, other than when Moo Creamery is open. A Yelp search while driving from Paso yielded this option so we decided to try it. We finally found good options and great place to eat. We'll probably try some of the other options in and around this center but it will be tough to not go back to Eureka! every time. The burgers were very, very good and the beer and alcohol selection were top notch. Too bad I had to drive. Our server was the best we've had in years, helpful, casual, fun. Stopped in for lunch while doing errands- we were seated quickly and the host was friendly. Our server greeted us almost immediately and was very up beat. She made some recommendations for drinks, and we place our order. The drinks arrived after just a few moments- we had a beer and the peach sangria. Beer was light and refreshing and the sangria was interesting- my only negative was there was a weird smell to the sangria (I don't know if it was the flowers/mint in the drink, or the peach? I don't know but something felt off). We ordered the Eureka burger, added avocado, with fries and a Cesar salad. Salad was fresh and the croutons were perfectly crunch. Been here before but my first time providing a review. My visit was on 06/23/25, at approximately 1200 hours. I was immediately seated in the bar area. Drink order was taken fairly quickly. I ordered the Lavender Iced Tea, in a disposable cup. The tea was a nice lavender flavor, however, the tea was more like a very tart lavender lemonade. I was not expecting a lemon flavor as the menu description did not note lemon juice as an ingredient. I asked for a bit of simple syrup to sweeten it a bit. I ordered the Fresno Fig, cooked medium, as my main entree. The burger consisted of fig marmalade / melted goat cheese / bacon / tomato / red onion / arugula / spicy porter mustard. Both buns had some fig marmalade, the goat cheese was slightly tangy and "goaty", which I loved. The arugula was fresh and strip of bacon was crisp. The meat patty was generous. All flavors complimented each other, to make a great tasting burger another win. Fries were good, but nothing outstanding; average. Food was at the right temperature and prompt. We got a gift card for Eureka from our family so we went to eat there today. We were greeted and seated immediately by a friendly employee. My husband ordered an American burger and a lettuce wrapped double smash burger with fries and Brussels sprouts and we didn't have to wait long. The Brussels sprouts are so so good I would go there just to eat them alone. Both burgers were hot and delicious and so were the fries. The highlight of the meal was our server Rudy. I like coming to Eureka! But there's a couple things I wish were different. 1) it kinda seems like every dish has a sweet element, even the "savory" dishes. Personally I don't feel like everything you eat needs to have sugar in it somewhere. 2) we have gotten the same server a few times and she was not very attentive. It's a small place but when you try to look around for her she's nowhere to be found, or if you could see her she was not paying attention for you to wave her down. Plan to be there no less than an hour, I'm not sure what it is but every time we've gone there's always a lag in service at some point. Despite that I will still go back. Nachos were great but I would recommend them without steak, they already pretty loaded up and steak didnt add too much more flavor. 10/10 will go back for happy hour here! This place was great! It was my first time here, and I had a fantastic experience with friends and family. I ordered the double smash burger with truffle cheese fries and an iced tea, all of which were packed with flavor and cooked just right. My wife and kid went with the nachos and mac n' cheese, and they really enjoyed their meals too. We finished off with a cheesecake, which honestly wasn't my favorite, it was priced higher than expected and didn't quite deliver on flavor or texture. I tried Eureka using DoorDash a second time and had a positive experience this time. I had the Steak Frites because my partner and her son gave the dish high marks last time. The dish was very good. The steak was cooked medium per my request. The chimichurri sauce was also very good. I ordered the mushrooms which came on top of the steak. The mushrooms were very small and very thin, and I didn't get much of them. So, the next time, no mushrooms for me. We also had the chicken lettuce wraps which was delicious. It is chicken, cashews, carrots, Korean gochujang sauce, and green onions in lettuce. I could have this as a main meal! This time Eureka was a positive experience. read more

I have been a big fan of this location since 2013/2014. Great consistent service, great food, what more can you ask for. Recently stopped by with my wife for dinner on a Friday night and this place was PACKED. We got our names on the waiting listed and waited about 25 min for a table to open. Honestly our food was worth the wait. This time, I went with the Barbecue Bacon Burger and added lettuce to the burger. So happy that I did because it elevated the burger and gave it a fresh element but the burger was seasoned and cooked to perfection! Barbecue sauce is made out of beer and it is amazing.
