    Whiskey Whiskey Glazed Salmon

Got the opportunity to stop in at this location for the Yard House. The insides are nice and clean, and the service chair was excellent. I tried to whiskey, glazed salmon and let me tell you that was very good. He came out and well prepared. If you're looking for somewhere for a great dinner or lunch, this is a place to go for sure.

My friends & I stopped by for happy hour. Great deals for their appetizers/pizza & alc beverages! The restaurant was quite spacious and was lively during the time we visited. Service was just okay. The drinks were a tad strong but were all good selections. We were all satisfied with the food that we ordered and especially liked the calamari, margarita pizza, and the poké nachos!

We came to Yard House in Costa Mesa specifically to watch the Mexico vs. South Korea World Cup match, and unfortunately the experience was incredibly disappointing. The game initially started with the Spanish broadcast, which made sense considering the overwhelming majority of guests were there supporting Mexico. After it was switched to English due to complaints from a few tables, many of us at the bar asked if it could be switched back. The bartenders, Julio and Nev, were fantastic, they listened, advocated for us, and repeatedly checked with management. Unfortunately, they were told no. When we spoke with the manager, Jennifer, her solution was simply to turn the audio off completely. That didn't feel like a compromise, it felt like everyone lost. We even suggested playing the second half in Spanish as a fair middle ground, but she refused, saying it was a "lose-lose situation." Whether intentional or not, the way this was handled left many of us feeling dismissed. It was hard not to feel that the preferences of the predominantly Mexican fan base in the restaurant were treated as less important. The atmosphere completely changed, and what should have been an exciting World Cup experience became frustrating. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because Julio and Nev were exceptional. They were friendly, professional, and genuinely tried to help despite having no authority to make the decision. They deserve recognition for doing everything they could. Unfortunately, poor management overshadowed what could have been a great experience.

Yard House has some great deals for Happy Hour if you can be there before 6:00 pm during the week. I had the chicken lettuce wraps and the sliders and they both were good. However, I think the sliders was a great deal since they come with fries and four (4) sliders. Chicken lettuce wraps was decent but I've had it better somewhere else. And it is a very small portion. It's an appetizer! :)

This isn't my first time here. I have been many times. Finally decided to do a review. There a a gazillion beers. They do beer well. As they should. There are a ton of TV's. The food is like... bar food, but more variety. They do have this lovely ahi tuna stack, which feels kinda somewhat healthy. Our bartender was David, he gave a few littles samples of other beers similar to what we got. Super cool and helpful. It's kinda dim inside and perfect for sports watching. It's great for what it is. Just come with those expectations.

Yard house usually never misses and this one is no exception. Food is great quality, good service, and dimmed atmosphere in the nice area adds to the existing good environment. The one thing that I never got here was their mules, and they are absolutely great. Ended up getting the strawberry and the Hawaiian and theyre made just fantastically

wow what a deal this was! after hearing about the happy hour deal on social media, we had to stop by as we are suckers for happy hour and saving money. for apps, we went with the calamari and poke nachos, and for entrees, we ordered the carnivore and truffled mushroom pizza, and boneless wings. cant forget about the beers so we did 2 half yards and 3 extra pints. the beer selection at yard house is super extensive so we had to take advantage. the food was all pretty good quality, i was surprised that i enjoyed it all so much! and the 4 of us were overly stuffed and only spent less than $25 per person for a full dinner and lots of beers with leftovers to take home. the service was also amazing! our waiters were incredibly friendly and checked up on us frequently and for how busy the restaurant was at the hour, everything came out promptly. we dined outside on the patio since we had our dog with us but beware that the area does tend to fill up quick as there aren't too many tables outside but there was plenty of seating inside as well. 10/10 recommend happy hour here! we will definitely be back :)

All the food was great, and came out quickly. We were told their soda machine was flat aside from a separate machine that only had coke and sprite, so my Dad decided to get iced tea instead. Small inconvenience, and then there seemed to be some confusion when they brought out the food between us and the other group on the patio. The onion rings were perfectly crispy, and the fish on the poke nachos was fresh. My pork burger, while cooked well, had a strong pepper spice on the bacon which overpowered the burger. We were glad they accommodated us on the patio, since we had our dog with us.

I went to Yard House for happy hour, and I have to say,it's usually one of my go-to spots. All of my past experiences have been A+, which is why this visit stood out a bit differently. When we arrived, we were seated right away, and the host was very kind. The restaurant was clean and clearly ready for the dinner crowd. As soon as we sat down, our server Angel came over and asked if we knew what drinks we wanted before we even had a chance to look at the menu. At first, I thought, "Wow, he's on it," but his attitude felt a bit off-putting (giving) like he might have been having a rough day. I wasn't ready to order yet, but my partner was. As he started placing his order, Angel walked away mid-conversation, which caught us off guard. We brushed it off and placed our food order through the kiosk at the table. Angel later returned, acknowledged the order, and took our drink requests. Our food came out fairly quickly, we ordered the fried calamari (10/10), which was excellent, and Miguel's queso dip with added beef (10/10), which was so delicious. About halfway through our appetizers, we realized we still hadn't received our drinks. We flagged down another server, Quinn, who stepped in to help. It turned out our drinks had never been placed. Quinn quickly took care of it, and I ordered the Hawaiian Mule (10/10), which was refreshing and really tasty. Quinn ended up taking care of us for the rest of the visit and definitely turned the experience around; he was attentive and made sure everything was handled. Yard House is still a great spot for happy hour, watching a game, or going out with a group. While this visit had a hiccup with service, the food and overall atmosphere still make it a place I'd come back to.

I've had a great time coming here for dinner tonight. The burgers are delicious and the house honey bloude ale is refreshing. I've had a great service at the bar and Nev and David were fantastic bartenders and one of them even gave me a free sample of a pina colada. The outdoor patio has a great view. I will definitely come back

Yard House is always a solid choice! We started with the poke nachos, and honestly... this could've been a whole meal on its own! The tuna was super fresh, the sauce was SAUCINNN, and I loved that they used fried wonton chips -- light, crispy, & not heavy at all. Highly recommend! We also shared the house salad, which helped balance everything out before the mains!! For my entrée, I got the pepper jack burger (medium rare), a recommendation from our waiter Barrett (shoutout to him!). He was so kind, patient, & really knew the menu. The burger had a nice kick of spice, which I loved, & was cooked perfectly. We also shared the truffle mushroom pizza, & wow SUPER flavorful without the mushrooms being overpowering. Of course, we all grabbed a glass of their house beer because you really can't go wrong there. Overall, such a fun place to hang out, eat good food, & catch up with friends. The vibes here remind me of BJ's... but with better food, better service, & better vibes . Would 100% come back

I'm so sorry I can't recall our server's name but she was fantastic! !! They allowed us to book a reservation for our group earlier this week just before Christmas Eve. Even when we adjusted the count, they allowed our change to a smaller group a couple hours before our reservation at 6pm. Parked below and the elevators and stairwells are accessible to the top floor to reach Yard House. Be aware there is some construction going on (I think it was the 2nd floor). Every person who helped our table, from the hostess to their table staff, amazing service during a stressful holiday event dinner for our work. It's been ages since I've been back to Yard House and I'd forgotten how delicious everything is! Great appetizers, fantastic entrees, just an awesome experience all around. Thank you for their wonderful staff.

Ask the Community - Yard House

    Is there a rooftop?

No, but there is a small outside patio area with room for maybe 10-20 people at small square tables. And the restaurant is on the second level at the Triangle.

Hi there, is your restaurant Yard House Costa Mesa still open and what are the exact opening and closing times as well as the last order for food at night (for every day of the week). I do not seem to be able to connect to your website for some reas?

Hey, Patrick! Yes. We are open Sunday - Thursday 11AM to 12AM with food last call at 11:30PM and Friday + Saturday 11AM to 12:30AM with food last call at 12AM.

What's the max on people for reservations 2 weeks advance? or let me rephrase that, what's the max you would seat for a party?

Hey Juliette! We actually don't take reservations at our Costa Mesa location. It is first come, first served.

Does the Costa Mesa location offer reservation for a birthday?

    Yes they do

What are the times for your happy hour?

Upon arriving, the restaurant was very gracious to bestow upon us a pair of complimentary lemon and thyme dinner rolls. They were warm, fluffy, and everything a carb should be. Honestly wish we had more of them, to be honest! The menu was short, which was helpful in its own way. I have such chronic decision paralysis, meaning the more options I have, the more ordering conflicts I'll have, lol. Forever petitioning for every establishment to have tasting flights!!!! We ordered the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor and Ora King Salmon entrees. The octopus was a unique take on the dish, but I don't think I would order it again. I was hoping for more sauce and flavor, but it was more of a dry dish. Still something everyone should try at least once -- especially because feedback is subjective and my experience may not be yours! My friend enjoyed the salmon dish, but it looked pretty standard to me. They also brought out a complimentary Epresso Creme Brulee for my birthday, which was both figuratively and literally sweet. Very decadent and kinda had a nice tiramisu taste to it -- order this! The service was excellent and very attentive. Was very hydrated during this meal because my water cup was never empty! I would come back to try the other dishes with a larger group so I can pick at everyone else's plates, hehehe.
