Yardhouse is great for large groups. We came late on a weekday and they sat 15 of us right away. They gave us 2 waiters and were very attentive. I got a hamburger which was perfectly made. The reason I had to take off a star was the slow service once we placed the orders. We had to wait quite a while for the food. Tips: Late night happy hour is only Sun-Wed. For the late night hours they use a limited menu that is as big as the menu at most restaurants. read more

This is more of a 3.5 stars kind of thing. Reason being is because chains have their own scale and I think most of you lovely people understand what I mean. While saying that, I do enjoy YH as a franchise because they have been one of the more consistent brands out there for me. I've never had a bad meal to my knowledge, service has never been an issue and they have plenty of beer and space at their locations. One thing I am sad about is they used to serve Duck Wings and I was informed the other day that they no longer have them at any of their locations. Didn't have a clear answer as to why they removed them. Our server stated they were a very popular item but wasn't sure as to why they were removed. This bummed me out a little but what can you do? This particular night I enjoyed some buffalo wings that were very flavorful and meaty, not as crispy as I asked but still pretty good nonetheless. I also had a YH Blonde which was tasty. Then lastly I went for 2 street tacos, one Asada Taco and Korean Beef. Both were decent and they didn't skimp on the meat (a good thing). All in all this experience was on par with what I am used to when I go to YH. Nothing over the top impressive but consistent and looked after. I am a fan. So I haven't been to Yard House in awhile. Came to this Yard House for a birthday and sat at the bar. The bartenders Fransico and Corey went above and beyond to make to sure that we were taken care of in every aspect of the way. First off, Kim is a fantastic server. I've had her several times I've been here and she's prob the second best server I've ever had in my entire life (no exaggeration). She actually pays attention to you rather than servers who don't do s**t and feel entitled to a nice tip. The manager here is terrible though. Rude, condescending, and does not care. Trying to blame his mistakes on you, for his incompetence. From other reviews here, I see other guests have an issue with him as well. Reading those reviews, I know exactly who they're talking about. Came in with a very positive attitude. The host was very friendly and this place was five stars until we had to wait for 35 mins without even getting any water. We understand that every place is understaffed but the place was not busy at all at 4pm. We finally got a server and she gladly let us know what this place is about. Do we want service or do we want the manager? At that point we realized we wont get any service at all. We asked for the manager and after waiting a few additional minutes, we had to leave and not waste any more time. If you can only service less than a quarter of capacity, just do so and not waste anyone's time. At least have the bartender make us drinks while we wait but that's also not an option. read more

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Everything good about the Yard House plus an extra-helpful staff. I've been to this location many times over the years but it wasn't until recently that I really started appreciating how good this place is, considering that it's a chain. Recently, I needed a table for a fairly large group to watch a hockey game and the staff was very helpful in putting together a good location for us. The wait staff was very efficient and patient in dealing with our multiple staggered orders and split checks. On top of some really great service, there was their dependable beer and food selection, especially for the vegetarians. I used to love this place. I do not anymore. I have had two high priced meals there this year and both were disappointing. They over salt the meat and seafood. I ordered the teriyaki steak bowl and the meat was so salty. I think they salt the food but have no clue what it actually tastes like after they then dump teriyaki sauce on over salted steak. The same experience with the whiskey salmon. My veggies were so crunchy I could not cut the carrots with my knife. The only good thing was my drink but it should have been good at $16! The kids meals they over portion. My son is 8 and he didn't need a large plate of soggy fries and mac n cheese for 5! The food quality isn't what it used to be. An okay place to go and drink at bar. After a long day at the beach, this place hit the spot especially if you have kids. Happy hour specials we tried: Poke nachos - 3/5 hardly any poke and scattered presentation but tasted okay Sliders - 5/5 best value and taste and everything on the side which is perfect for kids Calamari - 5/5 for taste and the 2 dipping sauces are to die for! I can understand when it gets busy, that you can make a couple mistakes... like putting in sauce instead of on the side, or maybe the entrees come before the appetizers. Maybe you forget a drink. But when a customer places a to go order over the phone, and you're in front of the register to input said order, but you don't input it until the customer arrives to pick up the order 15 minutes later (when you said it would be ready).... Customer isn't going to be happy. You can't say "sorry, it just got really busy" when you have 3 hostesses and none of them are even busy seating anyone. From the moment we got here the server(Sonya) was in a sour mood and we made our order and on the order with the deconstructed nachos the waitress cuts my friend off and says "oh they're not going to get that right at all." Then we proceeded to tell the manager the bad interaction and he then comes and hassles us over IDs when we are all clearly 30. And then to top off the night we find a hair in our food that does not belong to anyone at the table. This place used to be great but times have changed apparently. I will admit that I didn't come here during Covid but recently stopped by with some friends for dinner. In short, the service was slow and disjointed. We had three different waiters tell us we were "their table". Ordered drinks from one, food from another and never saw any of them again. After the first round our glasses sat empty for the rest of the night. Our order arrived incorrect and looking like it had been thrown on the plate yet the place was half empty. I might understand if it was slammed but to be almost empty and not care about food presentation or order accuracy seems like a big step back from the Yard House's glory days. Maybe it is a lack of management or maybe it's that the restaurant is taking its final gasp before closing. I was disappointed in this location. I've been to other Yard House locations and they were clean. This location was terribly dirty. I opened the menu and it had crumbs and grease spots on it so I asked to look at my husband's menu instead and his was the same but less dirty. I wanted to walk out because if they aren't wiping their menus, then how are they running the kitchen. Anyways for a bit I thought to myself that I should give it a chance, maybe we were just unlucky and got the dirty menus. But then I went to go wash my hands in the bathroom, and it was dirty too. One of the stalls had no toilet paper, and the other stall was low on it and there were no seat covers. The cilantro chicken was not edible. I had my husband taste it and he told me that chicken did not taste fresh. His orange chicken was over cooked. I could not eat my dinner but my husband shared his with me. I could have returned it, but I didn't have the to time.wait for them to cook a different entree. On a positive note our waiters were excellent. They constantly came by and refilled our waters and made sure we were okay. They were both very friendly and attentive. We had the first waiter (sorry I can't remember his name). Let me start off with Briana our server. She was amazing! He level of service was beyond something I would expect. She got us every condiment we asked for in a heart beat. Checked on us to a point where it was annoying but just perfect. She's super mellow and calm, jokes around and makes you feel like she's a sister! I think she needs a management position. The food. Oh my the food. Amazing amazing amazing! Wings, spinach dip, onion ring tower, garlic edamame, Nashville chicken sandwich... by far the best place I've eaten at in a long time!!! Due to everything going on with Covid you don't know what really to expect with service, food etc...It was very busy at triangle square last night: we got quoted about 35 minutes for our wait time. 10-15 minutes passed by and received a text telling us Our table was ready. Staff was pleasant, up-beat and awesome. Sarah took us to our table explaining she personally cleaned it off herself. Sydney came to the table promptly, friendly and eager to get us started. She recommended several beers because unfortunately the ones we wanted went fast. We had a great dinner, great time and will go back because of the service we received. I love their Chicken Lettuce Wraps even though they were different from years ago, Pizza was cheesy and their sliders were tender and tasty. Beers were not bad. Their service was great until they were serving you, but the attitude changed as soon as I got back to get what I left behind. I guess their tip is done so is their smiley friendly service.
