This is not about my heavenly night at The Yard House yesterday on May the Force. This is about the morning after my dinner. I want to talk about how the food tastes after it leaves The Yard House. I want to tell the tale of the chicken tenders, or tendies if you are willing, immaculate interlocutor. So, the tenders at The Yard House were a party of yumminess in my gullet. Of course. What I found more compelling was how these tendies kept their soft chewy magic overnight. They microwave up something dropdead gorgeous. These chicken shapes still tasted like the end of a date that you know was too good to be true. The perfect breaded skin chomped so delightfully to my surprise . The chicken contained all its sweetness in each bite. Together, the chicken and the bread are truly an eternal pairing for all to admire and to dine out on. Take some home with you soon. read more

In deciding what to eat, my boyfriend & I came across this restaurant on Yelp not too far from home. It's been recommended to us by a lot of our friends already so it was the perfect opportunity to give it a shot. We arrived & put our name on the list -- a 15 minute wait at 4pm wasn't bad at all. We were seated in a corner in the back area where tables were pretty distant from each other. All the employees had masks, (some were even double masked) & gloves. So overall take on safety was an A+ for me. In ordering, we were informed that it was happy hour which meant half off certain appetizers. Who doesn't love a good unexpected discount? We started off with the poke nachos, which tasted AMAZING considering we're not even big fans of raw ahi. I even think that's an understatement honestly. The sriracha aioli + seaweed topped it all off, as well. We also got sliders with a side of truffle fries. I personally thought both were a tad bit on the saltier side but the truffles fries had a good crunch to it which was a plus in my book. My bf got a regular cheeseburger with a side of sweet potato fries which he both really enjoyed. Overall, we really liked the food & how attentive our waiter was to our needs. Yard House is my absolutely favorite for HH!! My go to orders for YH, is always their Moscow mule and poke nachos! During HH wait can be up to an hour, so I'd definitely get there early and just shop around before you eat. It is always packed during HH or on the weekends with good sporty bar vibes! It's always a fun time with good people. This time I tried their Caesar salad which is super random, but definitely hit the spot. I always try to order a healthy option. It wasn't different this time at the Yard House at the Spectrum in Irvine. For the appetizer we order the stack of Aki Tuna with avocado and cucumber. It was covered in soy sauce and it was sooooo salty that my husband couldn't eat it and I'm glad he didn't because it would really have raised his blood pressure. For my entree, I ordered a salad with seared ahi tuna and I made the mistake of not asking the dressing on the side. It was so greasy and so salty that I couldn't finish it. Decided to come to this location last night. The person I went with was hungry and I was ready for a drink. It was past 9pm on a Sunday so I knew that most places were getting ready to close. I knew Yard House has some decent food and a plethora of beers on tap. We made our way to the Irvine Spectrum Center and walked inside.It's usually busy on weekends but since we arrived so late, it wasn't. My group also ordered the fried calamari and margherita pizza along with a few beers. The calamari was fried pretty well. As for the pizza that we got, it was a bit disappointing. My friend said it reminded him of the frozen Digiorno pizzas and I can't say that I disagree. Our server was so kind and attentive to our table, despite it being extremely busy. It was my mistake to not get his name because I would love to give him a shoutout for his outstanding service! Fair warning, Yard House usually gets pretty busy for their happy hour, so the wait might be a little long. After a comedy show at the Irvine Improv, we wanted a quick drink and a snack before going home. Yard House is pretty much the only restaurant that is open on this side of the Irvine Spectrum (pretty sure Habana is open on the other side). We went in knowing that it's a casual place to chat and watch sports...nothing to write home about. Clean, reasonably priced for OC, huge bar area, extensive menu of mediocre food and tons of beer. Would I recommend anyone go here? Not really, but if you need a beer and it's late...you really have no other choice at the Spectrum. read more

After spending some time at the escape room with my friends, we decided to grab lunch at Yard House before heading to our next event. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering the fish and chips dish, which was heavily battered and greasy. While the tartar sauce was delicious, the lack of lemon made it hard to rescue such a dead dish. The fries were satisfactory, but the dish, unfortunately, was a 0 stars out of 5. One redeeming factor was the portion size, which was large enough for me to take the remainder of my meal home. It is still quite an expensive dish given the lack of taste to my dish and its quality. Additionally, the split payment option made it easy to pay the bill with my group of friends. Please don't make the same mistake as I did. read more

Dropped by Yard House with a few friends on a Friday night and it was packed, as expected. We were given a 15-20 min time estimate, but really took 45+ min to get seated. Personally, I really liked their drinks but I don't think the overall food quality is on par with the expensive prices. They forgot my dressing on the side so they had to go back and get me individual cups of bbq sauce and chipotle ranch dressing. Oh well. Overall dining area was nice and spacious. We're driving from USC to your irvine spectrum location and unfortunately they don't take reservations at all, nor do they allow us to join the wait list because our party of 8 exceeds their 6 person limit. We came here on a Sunday night with a few friends and the service was great. The food was delicious as well. I decided to try something different so I went with the whiskey glazed salmon. My sister in law constantly raved about it a few weeks ago and i had to give it a try. It was sooo delicious! The Broccolini was cooked perfectly. We came during happy hour and were swiftly seated at the patio area outside. Because it was such a nice day out, we were able to enjoy the sun. We were able to place our order and received our pizza and wings fairly quickly. The gardein wings were a little too salty for my taste - we tried the Buffalo and the Korean wings. I always love getting the poke nachos and the calamari. The ahi sashimi was okay, nothing too special about it. The chicken nachos were pretty filling and so was the chicken tenders. The spinach dip was surprisingly good with the chips. I also usually order the strawberry mule, moscow mule, or the kona big wave during happy hour. The service could be better since there was a long wait before the drinks would come. Other than that, food was decent and it never dissapoints. They are also dog friendly for the patio seating. We were here in February 2020, before COVID-19 closed many restaurants. We've been here a few times, when we're in town for one thing or another. It's spacious inside. Everyone ordering used their last name and she was able to track everyone's order using the last name. I had the red quinoa salad which was really good with lots of kale, quinoa, beets, blueberries, pepitas. The only thing that I didn't love about the salad was a huge pile of raw cauliflowers. There was so much of it and it just didn't go with the rest of the salad. I'd order it again though and ask them to take the cauliflowers out. My daughter loved her salmon!
