The food was cold. Now first let me say everytime we have visited any of the Yardhouse establishments, it's been great and consistent. The pizza was so undercooked it couldn't be picked up. The fried calamari was cold as well, and you know what cold fried calamari does. We got it the second time and it was the same. Just disappointed. However- the manager did get involved and the food that we sent back was taken off the bill, which we appreciated. But you know that craving for that something you want and its stuck in your head. This is the place to go if you want to try the best chicken nachos! I also love the fact that they have dairy free cheese! Like any other restaurant, expect there to be at the very least a 30 min wait. Sure, if you go during the afternoon/night on a weekend, do not be surprised if the wait is up to 2 hours. They have pretty good happy hour deals, so I would definitely try to go during those times to save some money - MON-THUS 3pm-6pm and 10pm-closing. I've come to realize, I LOVE this place and this particular location happens to be my favorite. The customer service is AMAZING, from the time you walk in til you walk out. My most recent visit was for a Christmas Party, so it was a party of about fifteen. Our waiter, Jay and waitress, Bree provided outstanding service and there was no delay with anything as they were very attentive. Given it was a large party of course a round of appetizers was a must. Here are my faves...the queso dip, spinach dip, nachos, onion rings and boneless buffalo wings. My favorite entrees... well my ultimate favorite is the Chicken Enchilada Stack followed by the shiitake garlic noodles add some chicken or upgrade to the sesame chicken and noodles you can customize them as you desire. Well, to start off, there food is pretty good, as well as pretty consistent, since they are a chain. Thats a plus. Drinks wise, this locale actually has 250 beers on tap on most occasions, which is a definite plus. There drinks are pretty good as well. Overall experience, and I have been here a bunch of times, is pretty good. We actually went today, and had there spicy tuna roll, and edema me. Both were really good. No complaints. The location targets the tourist crowd being by the convention center, on the water (which admittedly is nice), it's near some major hotels... "Oh, there is Yardhouse lets go there..." (thinking it's a safe bet..) We had painfully slow service. And all of us commented on the mediocrity of the food. Its an OK place on a Sunday afternoon to grab a beer or two outside, but go there with a full stomach!.. Otherwise you will be disappointed. Cool spot for cheap drinks and some appetizers during night time happy hour. heh, night time happy hour... thats a first for me. Food overall way pretty good, loved the nachos and onion rings tower. The jerk chicken wings, not so much. It was really really burnt so we sent it back, the second order was still kinda burned. Spectacular view. Great food. Great service. I've been to a few Yard House locations and this has to be one of my favorites. It's in a great location and watching the sunset here is really relaxing. They have attentive staff and I've always enjoyed the food here. Happy hour is awesome: half-off on pizzas and appetizers, cocktails and beer. The appetizers are huge and served so decoratively. A couple of my favorites are the spinach and artichoke with toasted pita bread, and the chicken nachos (huge platter accompanied by sour cream and guac). I also enjoy their sliders and tower of onion rings (they really are served as a tower of onion rings orbiting a steel pole). The only two cocktails I've had are the Mangolicious, which I think you can skip because it wasn't all that good, and some peach drink. I've forgotten its name but it was yellow on top and blue on the bottom. It was a sweet cocktail, which I liked. My favorite entree is the Pepper-Crusted Filet. It's served with crisp asparagus and carrots, garlic mashed, and not smothered, but adorned with a creamy bearnaise sauce. This is definitely one of the entrees I recommend everyone try. Overall, this location is great place to hang out and unwind with friends or coworkers after a hard day's work. Be sure to come by from 3-6 (happy hour) during the week to enjoy the sunset as you get your drink and eat on. read more

I love coming here during happy hour. Drinks and appetizers are cheap and you can definitely enjoy your meal alongside long beach harbor. I've been here all my life and I absolutely love this place. Service is always warm and the waiters/waitresses always know about what's good and what's not. However, be careful when they suggest something off of the happy hour menu. Our waiter recommended a margarita but it was not on the happy hour list. So we were kind of bummed. I always order the chicken wraps, spinach dip, chicken tenders, and chicken nachos! The Yard House is a favorite venue of mine that I go to on special occassions. I love to have their beer sampler as they have so many beers to choose from. Also, they have a variety of appetizers that are really good as well. I think they have reverse happy hour at some point so those appetizers at a certain time cost less. Anyhow, this Yard House is by the shore which is very nice. It is also nice that this location validates your parking. Most places actually don't really do this so that's an added bonus. I think there are other shops within this complex worth exploring after you have eaten at the Yard House. read more

The food is meh. It's a yardhouse. Nothing different than any other yardhouse, but what makes this place great is that their staff is really really nice. I ordered some chicken garlic noodle dish and it was awful. I normally never return food, but when the waitress took her second round she OFFERED to allow me to switch out for something else. I ordered some angel hair pasta that was very fresh and tasty. Just like any other yardhouse, they have all kinds of foods to please all pallets. The signature thing about yardhouse are the 100 some odd beers that you can order on tap. On top of that, you can order it by the YARD stick. If you can drink 24 oz of beer at once before getting warm, help yourself. If you have your meal outside you can over look the marina. Bad thing is sometimes the engines of the boats can be loud and you can smell the smog. Other perks about this place is that it is very open. It's not only a restaurant but it's kind of a fun bar. TV's at all angles and an open circular bar to mingle. They have clean restrooms :) and Very open parking but I think it costs about $7 for two hours. read more

This place is too expensive!!!! We went there with a party of 25+ people. Naturally, my friend whos birthday it was, called ahead of time to reserve some seats. They said that they didn't do that on weekends. Well, then I guess she called to give them a heads up. We all got there on time at 1:30 and were seated an hour later, which IMO was quick considering the place was packed. Waitresses were very good, we had two waiting on us and they didn't forget a thing that we asked for, they looked cool, calm, and collected. No complaints about them, they did a great job! They even asked everyone about splitting checks, and because they were so quick to accommodate everyone, the fact that they added gratuity was no biggie as I tipped extra as well. The prices for the food though is astronomical! For the price of the food, you'd think that the actual meal would have been bigger. My turkey melt sandwich had like three slices of turkey, barely any cheese, it was dry and wasn't even the size of a six inch sub at Subway. That was so disappointing. My husbands meal was 10 bucks and he got 6 pieces of vegetarian buffalo wings. Including almost 3 bucks to add a salad. The area that this place is in is beautiful. Right by the Queen Mary and other cute shops. It costs a buttload to park there too, when we got out of this place, we spent just about $75 bucks which included parking. My friend was completely worth all of this, but I think I will avoid this money pit. I just don't like the food here especially for these prices. The game was on and he had beer in hand - what makes men happier? Like all Yard Houses, they have so many beers; it's hard to choose just one! So we had 3! Plus, they give me samples since I couldn't decide what I was in the mood for. I love Napa Smith. (Read my review for them, too!) I went to this location last time I was in Long Beach. It's a fun location as it has great surroundings, including the Queen Mary! Yard House is a chain I was familiar with as we have a location right in my hometown of Glenview! Their menu is long & extensive as is their drink list. I wouldn't say anything on their menu is amazing that I've tried, but I'm nowhere near trying all the dishes yet. Awesome views on the patio. Its a nice place during the summer to relax and eat while watching the sailboats. I had the Ahi Crunch Salad. Lunch portion was plenty. Summary: Great beer selection. If you like craft brews, this is a wonderful place to try a bunch. The prices for the beers are a little on the high side, but not too unreasonable. The food is more hit and miss. The garlic noodles in either of the three incarnations are good if not overcooked. Parking requires validation and a few dollars on top of that. My wife and I went here on a Saturday night at around 7pm and were told we should expect an hour to 75 minute wait. Fortunately, we found a table in the bar area and didn't have to wait at all. We were soon greeted by a server and placed our drink order. I got a Unibroue La Fin Du Monde and my wife got a half yard of the house honey blonde. A little later we placed our food order. Here is what we got: Tortilla soup - A great blend of textures and very tasty. Good as usual. :) Lobster garlic noodles - Delicious and al dente. Just right, thankfully. Peppered gorgonzola burger - This, unfortunately, was very disappointing. I asked for the burger cooked medium and it was definitely more medium rare. It was also really dry and bland. The wheat bun fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The grilled onions were over-poweringly sweet. If it weren't for the fries (which were awesome), this would have been a complete bust. I've had better meals at Yard House. This was my worst so far from the 3 or 4 that I have been to. I assume it was a one-time thing, but the poor burger and slowish service really made me feel the experience was not as good as it should have been. read more

Smallest Yardhouse I've ever been in, but it has an awesome location at the marina. If you're going for dinner and drinks, then make certain that you're sitting outside to enjoy the weather. If you're going for drinks and bar food and to watch a game, then the inside is fine, but why anyone would want to sit inside when you can sit outside is beyond me. I suppose if you've lived in Southern Cali long enough, you forget to appreciate how great the weather and ocean can be. Even though there are tables for inside for dining, the entire inside should be considered as the bar. It's loud and crowded, and people can be standing beside your table or behind your chair if too crowded. If you want to talk to your tablemates without shouting at them, then you're better off outside. Rounded up to four stars. As in all Yardhouses, the food is solid and their beer selection is beyond great. The location is awesome too. You couldn't ask for a nicer place to have a few drinks. For a casual dinner, it's fine too, as long as you're on the deck--outside. read more

First time at Yard House! Came here on Saturday with the family for a nice lunch- and what did we get? A nice lunch AND a nice view of the harbor. It was a beautiful day to sit outside, and so we did. Ordered the blue crab cakes for starters. Only came with two cakes, so we four split them and shared. Delicious, but wish there could be more... I ordered the Korean pork belly tacos; the dish came with two tacos and a side of spicy rice and cheesy, refried beans. They were good, if a tad forgettable. Had bites of my family member's dishes: mom's lobster and shrimp pasta was creamy and chock-full of seafood, dad's Parmesan-crusted chicken was at once crispy and tender. I didn't try my sister's Béarnaise burger, but it sure did look heavenly, if massive. YH is also known for its extensive collection of beers, and I had a few sips of one of them (I honestly do not remember the name). Not bad- fruity and with a bitter aftertaste. I'm not a huge fan of beer, but that one wasn't too bad. Granted, YH is pricey; we used gift cards that we had received from friends. Nevertheless, the service was good, the menu choices were dizzily abundant, and the view of the harbor was amazing. I will be back to try the vodka spaghetti! read more

Flagship location of Yard House. Over the years I've been a fan ever since my best friend introduced me to the brand while in college. They've since built locations everywhere with varying levels of service, but they all essentially have the same menu and colossal selection of draught beer. Walking into this one, it doesn't seem to have a unique character that sets it apart from the others as the original spot other than being situated on a dock, but I do think their tap selection is the largest and wraparound bar the longest I've seen in than any other YH. After going to many locations for Happy Hour and Late Night Happy Hour with friends, family, or solo, I finally went here for the first time late last year. It seems like a lot of people have come here to celebrate their birthdays, and I just realized that I am no exception, as it happened to be my birthday too. As with YH tradition, they bring out a small dessert and candle, which is always a nice gesture. The place was packed and loud that night and the food took a while to come out. On my most recent visit, we ordered some bites before the lunch crowd came in. The service was okay as was the food, but because the staff were preparing for an upcoming rush of customers, a couple of our requests were forgotten about. Yard House is always a solid place to eat or drink at anywhere you go, so it's nice to have the option in this part of Long Beach. Though I love YH for the beer taps, I wouldn't mind seeing a few more craft ciders on the drink menu as I had to settle for a mainstream glass on my last visit. A couple other tidbits: patio seating is really popular and usually filled, and parking in the village has a nominal fee with validation unless you can find street parking nearby. Also, the Vampire Taco is a hot new item that's pretty decent. read more

We waited for over 30 minutes (the restaurant was not full) for our food only for them to forget my daughter's food, which we had to wait another 20 for a kids pizza (which came out burnt). Then they tried to give a free desserts, but gave the other kids their dessert and made my daughter wait AGAIN for a below average dessert. This place is phenomenal. Came here after a trip to the Queen Mary boat. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I came in with an open mind. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. I got the garlic lobster noodles. It was jam packed with lobster, shrimp and crab meat. It was huge as well. Definitely could have shared it. Everything that the rest of the group got was also great. Definitely try the Mac and cheese. The desserts are also great. We got the bread pudding which was so moist and warm and the creme brûlée cheesecake which was AMAZING. The layout of this one is a bit odd... not so much of an open space than the Spectrum location. I do like the fact that it sits right next to the ocean... it was too cold to sit out that night. Bar service was great, got our drinks in a timely manner. Had a party of 16 so the wait was for a bit. They accomodated our party by giving us this large table and a booth. Service was top notch, our waitresses were really good (Heather and Sandy). Never an empty glass of anything! Food came out pretty fast. Couldn't have been more happy with that. I got the orzo scallops, and it tasted slight different here than I had elsewhere, but the fact of the matter was that it was still good. It tasted like it had more tomatoes or something in it. My friends got burgers and got a side of truffle oil. Man, that made every morsel bomb, I want to get a side of it everytime now! Split the check which was awesome in a party that large, handled the bill well. For one reason or another, no one relayed we had a bday person in the group but oh well... If you are at Long Beach Seaport Village, grabbing a beer here midday, outdoors, on the pier is a freaking dream. Just be prepared to wait 45 mins to an hour for a table. We are here with a table for 12. Long wait, yep, in all aspects. Food and service took forever, but that is to be expected, but still sucks. Many things I asked for like a cup of water did not arrive till after my meal. One of our friends' food also never arrived. Manager eventually came out and comped his meal, but regardless the overall experience of eating here was still par. TIP: When getting fries here, ask for TRUFFLED. Great view and place to be for brunch or lunch. Came with my family and we were almost immediately seated even though the restaurant was pretty full. Servers allowed as to move to a not as sun blinding spot on their outdoor patio, that's a plus. The server was patient in waiting for us to order and quickly got our drinks to us. Though that was the last we heard from her: she took our orders and we never saw her again and we were served by the other servers. All four of us still had old crusted food on our silverware and we had to get new sets to replace them, I wish restaurants changed their washing systems. Food was pretty good. Not mind blowing, not horrible. My sandwich (without the bacon) was great though I wished there was some dressing or spread and not just dry ingredients slapped together with some avocado. French onion soup was also great but a bit on the salty side. My beer was a surprise as I wasn't expecting any other establishment to have Hangar 24 on tap as that is a IE exclusive beer usually.
