Yard House is my go to for poke nachos and the gardein orange chicken dish...two of my FAVORITES. I ordered the poke nachos and calamari on this visit and the poke nachos NEVER disappoint, however the calamari was over cooked and inedible. I called Yard House and spoke with the Manager who was extremely nice by the way. He apologized and made it right and offered me a gift certificate. Of course I will be back at the Yard House, that was my only bad experience since going to the Yard House for a few years and I am always satisfied. This review is only about the food a friend and I received, which was beyond bad. Our service was otherwise fine. My friend ordered a bone-in ribeye and I went with the sirloin steak bowl. By the first bite, we both looked at each other in disappointment. For one, mine was done about two levels over what I'd asked and more importantly, both our steaks had an unpleasant charred flavour. I am a huge fan of charcoal grilling and imparting that flavour onto the food being cooked, but this was entirely different and unpalatable. That aside, my quinoa/grain mix was overly salted and wet, while her parmesan mashed potatoes wholeheartedly seemed like what I would think, instant mashed potatoes taste like. They were inedible. Despite my friends' timid pleas, I let our waitress know (she'd have otherwise thrown $40+ down the drain) and we ended up switching to the garlic lobster noodles. Our plates came out rather quickly, which makes me wonder how the shrimp were overcooked (not devained, which wasnt surprising). A disservice to San Francisco. We came here on a Thursday night & we were seated within ~20minutes of waiting. Our waitress was nice, but I had forgot my ID & they do not accept pictures (just an fyi). We ordered the carnivore pizza which was greasy but it was pretty good & if you like super thin crust this is the pizza for you. We also ordered boneless wings & honestly they did not even look like chicken wings...they were super burnt & hard to chew...not even sauce could save these wings. My friend informed the waitress just as feedback not making it a big deal in which she apologized & stated that she was going to take it off of the total...then she comes back to offer a free dessert for the inconvenience which my friend got the scoop of ice cream. Then when the bill came it was still on there & we brought it up to her since she told us it was going to be removed (without us requesting that to begin with) & she then proceeded to get defensive stating she never said that...we were both witnesses & heard her clearly say that...just a very strange situation...we did not make it a big deal & just paid for it. But overall service was not good & confusing, sounds like she asked her manager after telling us & couldn't actually do that to begin with so there was no reason for her to offer that, wings were not good at all, overall don't think I will be coming here anytime soon again unfortunately. read more

last call is suppose to be at 1130 for food 12 for drinks we confirmed this with a host, manager and two other servers , we just wanted two appetizers the man with long black hair that works at the bar , this was Monday night around 11:20 , denied us food and told us that last call was already over , but when we called and asked a host they said last call for food was 1130 and drinks was 12, when we talked to another server they said the same thing , and lastly when we talked to a Manager they said the same thing so we should have been served regardless , so he was just refusing to serve food for I don't know what exactly we felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable so we just left. this is one of our favorite spots so it sucks that someone would do that and ruin my friends night mind it being her birthday. read more

Sat at the bar, Dom started with us. He got our drinks in and ordered appetizers, came out good (out of my beer I wanted). Raffa came by telling us it was last call on food, so we put in our order. The food came out quick, but looking like a pile of turds. Tasted a bite of my chicken tenders and it was absolutely CHEWY. Like they straight microwaved old tenders. Had someone else bite the other half and it was disgustingly chewy. That's the quickest way to food poison someone! I stopped eating immediately. I hate leaving bad reviews but our service was too bad to not comment on. It was a group of four of us, we're on the younger side and are servers ourselves at a different restaurant so we know how service can either make or break an experience. We've been here many times, food is always great and service as well, not sure if our server Vanessa was just having a bad night or what but was just very short and unwelcoming, lots of "k's" and "mhm" coming from her and no eye contact almost like she was avoiding us?? Not sure if it's cause we were a younger group and she thought we weren't going to tip?? Sorry if a $70 tip wasn't enough on a $140 tab but I would suggest fixing that attitude. Experience - I've been coming to this location for years and usually with a big group of friends. We love the location especially during the holidays because it's right next to the courtyard with the Christmas tree. Such a great ambiance when you're dining outside. However, last Wednesday I came in with my branch for our holiday luncheon. Since we were a large group we had 2 servers who were on point the entire time. We had reservations so we were seated right away and once all our orders were taken the food came out pretty quickly. We didn't have any issues with any of our food. In fact, everything was delicious and presented beautifully. Food - My favorite things to get here are the sliders with fries, Shitake garlic noodles or pizza. However, this time I tried the Ahi crunchy salad with the deviled eggs as an appetizer (based on someone's yelp tip) and both were delish! I've never had Ahi in a Salad before so the texture takes a bit of getting used to. I'm used to my raw fish in tiny chunks and wrapped in rice while being dipped in soy sauce with wasabi lol! Nonetheless, the salad was really delicious and I would definitely get it again. The great thing about Yardhouse is the wide selection of food and it is also an awesome place for vegetarians. Plus, I've never eaten anything here that I didn't like. One of my co-workers got the Enchilada stack and it looked amazing. I may try that next. This review is mostly for the staff including management, we had an incident happen while getting ready to celebrate my nieces birthday dinner some one stole my sister purse. (Everything was in there it feels bad), well the manager that was on last night was really trying all he could to help our family out with whatever he could, informing all the staff, bartenders and sheriffs. Been here several times with my bf, we love the poke nachos and artichoke spinach dip. We recently went and ordered the wings (half BQQ half Buffalo) and they brought all BBQ so we kindly told our server and she took it back and bought it out, but when we ate the "Buffalo" wings we could take the BQQ so we knew they just covered it in Buffalo sauce instead of giving us actual Buffalo coated wings which was really disappointing because it did not taste good. Terrible service if you sit at the bar. My girlfriend and I say at the bar, Bartenders Garrett and Chris T. both attended to us promptly when we sat down. But them after we had our meal, no one followed up if we wanted another drink or what not. A third bartender did refill my beer. People around us did get helped, so they just didn't want to continue to serve us. I understand being understaffed because of COVID, but really, 24 minutes without being helped. Horrible customer service. I have never had a bad experience with customer service until today. When I got seated at my table, I was told my waitress would be Nancy, but she never once came to my table, and we had to call another waiter to take our order. Moreover, she consistently ignored us while serving tables near us, and when we asked for a check, she told us to pay using the mobile device thing and walked away when we told her we wanted a check! Then, as we proceeded with the bill, we noticed that they overcharged for items we never ordered, and when we brought it up to Nancy, she continuously made us repeat ourselves and told us that we were yelling at her and that we didn't have to be yelling at her (which we were not). In the end, she walked away and never came back, and we had to call over the manager to fix our bill, and we had to get our check from another waiter. My 1st time here, I was told my wait was going to be 1.5hr, but it was less, my waiter was Julian, he was greater, he explained the liquor, he took our order, when something was wrong with our food he sure had it fixed, Julian kept checking on us, I loved that. He was so patient and not rushing us when we had a question. The garlic noodles was over the top, fire, excellent, I wanted to order 1 to go home with. My peach martini was good. I really enjoyed my night here, I would definitely come back here. Now my only complaint is the bathroom didn't have good soap, it was watered down. I havent been here in years. The service was good and food was good, but the Magic Margarita sucked!!!! It tasted NOTHING like a margarita, and it was terrible. I took the bartenders advice and got it, because she said it was good. It was a new item on the menu, so I'm all about trying something new. The 4 stars is for the service and food, but definitely not the taste of the margarita. Maybe sense it's new, it still needs a little practice and making it, i dont know.....but i didnt like it. I also tried the moo shu egg rolls and they were really good along with the Cheese Curds. Their happy hour drink menu is not to my liking either, only $2 off of cocktails!!! Called wanting to check the wait time for 6 adults and 2 babies. Keep in mind online on their website it says no wait for 6 adults, but we live a little far away so we wanted to just call & double check before we head over and have to possibly wait a long time. The girl (host I'm guessing) by the name of "Fiona" responds and tells me she can't give me a wait time over the phone because we're a large party and we have to come in so a manager can give us a wait time. Like what? I tell her how am I supposed to know whether I should drive over there to come in or not if you can't tell me the wait over the phone? That would be a huge waste of my time to drive over there, and get a wait time that could possibly be over an hour? At that point I wouldn't even wanna eat there. She responds with attitude "I don't know I can't give you a wait time over the phone". How is adding 2 babies to a party of 6 ( with no existing wait online) a huge deal. Telling me you can't give me an estimated wait time over the phone and I would have to come in? Makes no sense. First time at this location, came in Sunday with a couple of friends around 7pm and sat at the bar. Group I was with wanted some drinks after dining elsewhere nearby. I wasn't in the mood for alcohol and just ordered one drink while the others had a few. Ambiance was good and prices are ok, we had a couple of appetizers which are the usual for us whenever we go to the yard house, highly recommend. Only reason I gave it a 3 star was the waiter was kind of rushing us with the drinks and to order food. I had to tell the waiter I wasn't planning on drinking more than the one drink I had ordered so he wouldn't ask me again. We came with a late reservation of 30 people for a graduation dinner. We did have to wait a bit until half our party was there but once seated everything was awesome. Our wait staff was attentive, nice, funny and very helpful. Their menu is extensive and it took me a while to decide because Everything looked so delicious. I decided on the two street tacos and spicy beans and rice. I had the vampire taco and the al pastor . It not only came out looking awesome...it was delicious. Seriously one of the BEST and different kind of tacos I've ever had. My daughter and I also had the spicy edamame as an appetizer. I'm not usually a fan, but it had great flavor and a ton of spicy! The cook burned the steak on the side that they conveniently turned down towards the plate and forgot my shrimp. However, I have a son with autism that loves it so we visit quite often. I went in today and it was busy I waited my turn to the hostess stand and let the hostess know we're a party of nine, she said "oh I need to get the manager." I patiently wait for the manager for several minutes, when the "manager" finally arrives she just says out loud "party of nine" I raise my hand and she said "the wait for the party of nine is three to three and a half hours" it's 3:00 pm. Are you kidding me? Three to three and a half hours there is not a place on this planet worth waiting that amount of time. My family and I have been to 3 different locations. I must say that this one has the most foot traffic. There were 12 of us and was told that the wait was 1 hr but it only took 20 mins to wait for our table. The food was great! We all liked what we ordered. From ahi salad to tacos to burgers. Our waitress was excellent and very friendly. The food server was kind of having a bad day (getting our orders mixed up and did not want to smile). Otherwise, we are sure to come back for more of the ahi nachos. I love how their menu had more dish to offer. I don't have any pictures to post as we were all hungry and just wanted to dive right in.
