Stopped by while in town visiting and met up with my wife's cousins at yard house for a quick bite. It was pretty packed but was able to get a table for all of us. I ordered the chicken tacos and rice and beans which was pretty good and filling. I also had an IPA flight that was pretty darn good. The service was fast given the amount of people we had in our group and the restaurant was packed also. I'll come back the next time I'm in town.
Yard House has the BEST happy hour. Monday-Friday 3-6PM all the appetizers are half off and this is such a great deal. All of their appetizers are so good, I love getting the lettuce wraps but we got a variety of apps for the table and we shared all of them. They also offer half off pizzas during their happy hour as well. Definitely come check out their happy hour if you're looking for some delicious food that isn't expensive!
I came to San Antonio for a conference and stayed at a hotel conveniently located next to the Yard House, which is why I decided to have dinner there on my first night. It was very convenient after a long travel day. Since it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was quite crowded. As I was dining alone, I opted to sit at the bar to avoid the wait and I'm glad I did. My meal was excellent; the salmon was especially delicious and cooked perfectly. The bar attendant was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the experience feel very welcoming. Overall, I was genuinely impressed by this location. The LA franchises could definitely learn from the level of service and hospitality here.
Stopped by Yard House and had a really solid experience. They have a long list of vegetarian options. The Gardein menu can be found online or ask waiters and they have it on their device. I tried the Gardein Orange Chicken along with their pretzel, and both were seriously good. The orange chicken had great flavor with just the right amount of sweetness and kick, and the pretzel was warm, soft, and perfect for sharing. Service was attentive, the atmosphere was lively, and everything came out just right. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.
Tired and hungry, we decided to have dinner across the street from our hotel at YardHouse at the Shops at Rivercenter. I hadn't been to a YardHouse for years and wasn't expecting much, so I ended up being pleasantly surprised. It was a weekday evening and we were immediately seated even though, to my eye, it seemed pretty busy. Our waiter was amiable and semi-attentive (meaning right when we would start to think "where is he?" he'd suddenly appear). I ordered a chicken-avocado sandwich and my wife ordered the Two Pepper Jack Burger. I got regular fries with my order and she upgraded to sweet potato fries. Her burger consisted of a thick beefy patty, roasted jalapeño & poblano peppers, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle ranch. My sandwich consisted of a hunk of grilled chicken with a cumin & chili rub, avocado, Swiss cheese, roasted tomatoes, arugula, and lemon-basil aioli on a toasted brioche bun. We decided to cut our sandwiches in half and share. The chicken sandwich was exceptional. The flavors burst in my mouth. One of the better chicken sandwiches I've ever had the pleasure to consume. The burger was also excellent, thick, tender, and juicy. While she thought the heat was minimal it made my eyes water...but I can barely handle even a tiny bit of heat. Still, I thought it was undeniably delicious. Our fries were also great, as was the sweet tea I ordered. As mentioned, I left with a smile on my face and a very happy tummy.
One of our go-to dinner spots downtown! We love that we usually don't have to wait long for a table, which is always a plus. The drinks are consistently ice cold, and the cocktails definitely pack a punch. The garlic noodles are an absolute must every time--we never skip them. My husband always gravitates toward the fish and chips, which never disappoints. On this visit, I decided to try the calamari and... yum! Definitely adding that to my list of favorites. Always a solid choice for a great, reliable dinner downtown.
There are places you visit, and then there are places that feel like they've been waiting for you. Yard House on the Riverwalk falls firmly into the second category. Now I've spent a fair bit of time at the La Cantera location, which is solid in its own right, but this one here, right along the water, feels like something else entirely. Dare I say it, it borders on becoming a San Antonio landmark. The view alone could carry the evening if the rest didn't show up, but thankfully, everything else does. Arrived on what should have been a fairly ordinary Saturday. I came hunting for atmosphere, a bit of movement, and most importantly, a proper cold draft. And I'll tell you this, the Bud Light drafts were going down suspiciously easy. Each one tasted like the next one wanted to be ordered. Big ups there. We opened with the poke nachos, which I'll call what they are, a proper table setter. Fresh, light, and just enough flair to make you feel like you made the right decision before the mains even hit. For the main event, me and the lady split the chicken Alfredo. Not always the flashiest choice on a menu this size, but sometimes you play the hits. Creamy, well portioned, and exactly what it needed to be after a couple of cold ones and a Riverwalk breeze. But let me be clear, this place is more than the food. It's the setting, the energy, the people walking by like you're in the middle of something bigger. You sit there long enough and you start to feel like you belong to the rhythm of the river itself. Yard House on the Riverwalk is not just a stop. It's a scene. And on this particular Saturday, it was our scene. Cheers, Matt Simmons
First of all, Rebekah gave me an excellent customer service experience; however, we ran into some confusion.... On the phone I inquired about the infamous "half yard glass," and asked what its shape was. I asked if it was shaped like a lawn (a yard if you will), and he responded YES!!!! I was ECSTATIC! A lawn shaped glass??? Mystical (I almost cried tears of joy). However, upon arriving at the establishment, I discovered, not only was the glass NOT shaped like a lawn, but Rebekah was a man! (Not relevant to my star ranking, but still, slightly misleading). As a former European, I was also slightly confused at the lack of meters in said establishment. Rebekah was still a chill guy tho, and the beer was tasty. Would recommend to my American friends. Also the bathrooms had nice vibes (no doors tho).
There is paid parking next to the restaurant, which has large tables with plenty of room for large groups. Our server, Angie, was great! But the food was average, and the manager was a big disappointment. Our friend has a severe shellfish allergy, and even though they have an allergen guide, the manager couldn't assure her that there would be no cross-contamination. You are going to tell me that in a restaurant with proud chefs, none of them have a favorite pan they could use to prepare a single dish without contaminating it. For me, that's not acceptable! That's why you are not losing one or two customers; you are losing three families that came together to have a good time, and because of your policy, one had to go hungry. We are never stepping into a Yard House again unless your policies provide proof of food safety.
I knew our experience would be great from the moment we walked in because the customer service at the front was excellent. Our waiter (Ricardo) was friendly, relaxed, and genuinely attentive. He made our dining experience enjoyable without being pushy. The interior has a very laid-back vibe. Even though it's right on the Riverwalk, it's chill and relaxing. I ordered the 2 Taco Combo with rice and beans, along with the Kids' Mac and Cheese with fries. My child loved her meal. I really enjoyed the shrimp taco, though the battered fish taco was a bit too spicy for my taste. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.
Amazing beer selection as always. The steak bowl with Gardein chicken was surprisingly awesome--I am used to gardein bowls being watery and bland. The one was savory through and through. The steamed edamame was not something I would get again. It was overcooked, the salt was only on top, and there was an oily coating. The beans were soft and would come out in all directions or none at all. Don't get this if you're on a first date. The vegan and beer options were so extensive that I ate there 2 more times while I was in town (it helped that it was accessible through a tunnel connected to my hotel). Food was great again, although service was a bit slow. Sweet potato fries and the vegan wings were both amazing.
I got the lobster garlic noodles, and it was amazing. They added a lot of lobster meat and shrimp. They didn't skimp on the meat. The noodles tasted great too. I really liked the flavor. I went here during San Japan, and there was about a 1 hour wait, but I really liked that this is within walking distance and can sit a big group of people.
Great place! Well lit, plenty of space, and good food! Plenty of TVs and music. Food/Drink: Really well cooked, decent variety on the menu. Typical sandwich, burger, flatbreads, and salads you would expect. Nashville hot chicken sandwich cooked so well, and the chicken was thick and juicy. Appetizers: Flatbread pizza was so good, and flavorful. Steak and blue cheese crumbles on a light doughy flatbread! Bar: alcoholic drinks were well mixed and not overpowering. Bar was clean, and well lit. Dinning Area: large size, open concept. Plenty seating! Prices: Relatively cheap. Chicken sandwich and blue cheese flatbread, tall twisted tea....$35 Parking: mall, shared lot, wrap around just off the main road. Garage. L A little hard to get back out...have to back onto the main road. Lots if construction. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and large in size. Atmosphere: During the Sunday afternoon football season, pretty steady, but not unmanageable. Staff/Attendants: bar tender was Great and highly motivated, very nice, and relatively attentive. I ate at Yard House in Orlando and really enjoyed it, so I was happy to see one right outside my hotel in San Antonio. I just wanted to get some food to take back and relax in my room after a long day at a conference. I ordered the calamari and the buffalo chicken pizza and a glass of wine while I waited at the bar. The service was just okay, seemed like a long wait for what I ordered. Because my food was to go, there was an upcharge, what? Dumbest thing I ever heard. The food was a disappointment, calamari was rubbery with an awful sauce, seemed like a failed attempt at tartar sauce. The pizza was okay flavor-wise, but the chicken was really dry. Expensive and disappointing, good lesson that not all Yard House locations are equal. read more

Nice location for Sunday NFL watching .. lots of TVs, vantage to multiple games, and good food. The service was really good. She was informative and attentive .. even as we stopped eating and drinking and started just watching. (Left her a good tip since we took up her table for a while). Started with a beer and a strawberry mojito (not a fan ... seemed like a powdered mix flavor). We had a pretzel which was really good and served with cheese and spicy mustard. We then moved onto the Hawaiian Mule (pineapple vodka and ginger beer) .. yum!!! Yet for me the hit was the carnivore pizza. Lots of toppings and a really good crispy crust. Loved it! read more

Yard House has been a great place to eat with my coworkers after our training. We made a reservation for 6:30 PM, and it is everything that we expected. The staff was nice and personable, and I love how the upstairs has a cool view of the town street. The music is medium loud and you can see the sports play on the TV. The menu has an array of American dishes from steak to pasta. There is a lot you can enjoy, but it's important to note that the dishes are heavy and large. On the table, they have small phones where you can request for the order. There were a couple of orders made. Starting with the appetizer, I find the fries too salty for my liking. The fried calamari was easier to eat, but it could have been crunchier. I think it was undercooked. I had a sparkling refresher mocktail with cherry. It was the highlight of my night. The drink was sweet and soothing. I loved every part of it. The fontina vodka pasta was alright. I was hoping it would be spicy like the vodka pasta I would eat at other places, but it tasted rather cheesy and heavy. I asked for less sauce, and it seems they put more. The basil helped dilute the saltiness, and I couldn't finish the dish. I had a wonderful night with my team at this place. Although the food could have been better, the friendly culture of the staff and the fun laughs and jokes we had made this a memorable experience. I can't wait to come back again. read more

Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon. Party of 4. Sat immediately and with a great view of the river and mall. We made it with time for the happy hour for 1/2 off apps. We had cheese pizza and chicken truffle pizza. Both were a hit. Calamari was yummy and so was queso. Our waitress accidentally put in our queso in as vegetarian so it surprised us when it came to the table with veggies instead of chips.. we asked the guy who brought the food out to us and he was rude and did not take time to answer when I asked if this was also supposed to come with chips. When I saw our waitress she took responsibility for the mistake and brought us out chips. No harm, and she was very sweet. Brussel sprouts weren't as crispy as I hoped and after a few bites the sauce was overwhelming. Boneless wings with buffalo and lemon pepper were delicious. Kids enjoyed themselves. Dang it has been a looong time since I have been to Yard House! I used to live in San Antonio and would always love going to the La Cantera location for HH. Why did I ever stop going?!?! LOL the food is so yummy and the prices make me love it even more :) I'm going to have to visit the Austin location more often for sure. We came in for dinner on a Friday night and it was pretty busy, but we put our name down and waited for our table over at the bar. Two drinks in and then our table was ready. We started with the Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel and the Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds. Both were very good, but the Cheese Curds were my absolute favorite! They are very addicting and I like the horseradish dipping sauce it came with. For our main entree two of us shared the Korean Ribeye & Shrimp ($45.99). It came with a very large portion of fries as well. I think next time we will try a different side, but still good. The ribeye though OMG!!!! I've been to several high end steakhouses and this steak puts them all to shame and for $45.99 it's such a great deal. We ordered the ribeye rare and it was absolute perfection. The sweet soy ginger flavor was to die for and the meat juicy and velvety. Two of us couldn't finish the entire dish. Also the Cowboys game was on for the guys to watch so that was a plus if you want to enjoy your meal and sports too! read more

Best customer service ! We arrived late a night and decide to eat here 1 hr before closing. Our server Bryan was outstanding. They didn't have a drink I was looking forward to drinking but he made it happen . The food was perfect. From the temperature to my steak being medium rare . Food was more than great, 20oz steak melted like butter in your mouth. The BBQ burger was the best I've had in a long time. And the truffle fries I can't say enough. Loved the food. Service was Okay service was kind just didn't check in much nothing exceptional. Restrooms were bad though no soap and smelly unclean. It is the day after thanksgiving but seriously bad. read more

Great location downtown San Antonio. Plenty of tv'a for sports watching and the food is always quality Taco platter was a pleasant surprise, and the staff was great. Also tried the Korean Ribeye which was delicious as well. Would definitely return. read more
Great variety of food. Very tasty meals. Recommend the Mediterranean salmon if you're looking for a fresh, flavorful bite. The nachos are also a great appetizer and have a large portion to share. Only pet peeve was the fact that the restaurant itself was not very clean. The floors were kind of nasty and the bathrooms received little maintenance. Had to ask staff to restock toilet paper because only one stall had paper and many ladies were trying to use the bathrooms. read more

I know it's a chain, but this place is one of our go-to's because of the beer selection. The food's always been very good, and I've tried a LOT of things on the menu. We like this downtown location because it's a close walk after the Alamodome games. I love that the servers are always doing something, and good about checking on customers. read more

We came in during the night, it was pretty moderate busy. It's pretty dark inside the restaurant. our server greeted us and we got our food and i got a mocktail. The mocktail was just soda with a splash of some fruit syrup and taijin. very overpriced in my opinion. it was around $8? i think. Anyways, moving on to food wise i got the Pepper tuna steak that was very tasteless and it came with a ponzu sauce that killed the flavor of the tuna that there was. and i ended up basically eating something with texture of meat that's overpowered by the sour sauce. The rice was the best part about the $32? dish. that was around the size of a cherry tomato right next to it. My boyfriend got some noodles with meat that was very interestingly? seasoned. but he ended up enjoying them in the end. Overall i think if you want to enjoy some beers, this is a good place. but food wise i would stay away. read more
The place we were going to eat at went out of business, so Yard House was close and we decided to eat there despite our aversion to eating at 'chain restaurants'. This place definitely falls way outside the chain restaurant mediocrity. The hostess was very friendly when we walked in and we were seated right away. Our server immediately got our drink order. We decided to have the Miguel's Queso Dip which is cheddar, pepper jack, queso blanco cheeses with roasted pablano peppers and guajillo chile and chipotle, served with Ward tortillas and chips. The flavor of the queso was really good and had a slight heat! Great way to start. My wife had the fontina vodka penne which is penne alla vodka topped with grilled fontina chicken and fried basil. The flavors were amazingly good! I had the blackened shrimp tacos with rice and beans. The tacos had blackened shrimp, fresh avocado, cabbage, sriracha aioli, salsa roja and cilantro. The flavors were superb with some heat. The only downside was the shrimp were too salty but fortunately the other items in the taco helped balance it. The pinto beans had a good flavor and the rice also had a good flavor. For dessert we tried the bread pudding with crème anglaise. Vanilla bean and caramel sauces; vanilla ice cream and powdered sugar. It was really good! We've had a few bad bread puddings lately and this one was what we were hoping for! We will definitely come back - which says a lot since it's a chain restaurant! read more
5 stars for the service. 3 for the food. The cheese curds were not cooked in oil hot enough, so the plate had oils at the bottom and soggy curds. The bbq chicken pizza had a good flavor; bud dang...bake it a few mins more for a crust that hold the toppings. Yard house has an overwhelming selection of beers, but the bartender was able to help narrow it down. Good music playing in the bar area. Go for the service and beer. read more
When we walked in we asked for seating overlooking the River and sure enough we got a spot that is like a bridge to the other side. Hannah took care of us when we were seated. She was a great waitress and really got our stuff out quick and followed up every few minutes. She gave me a drink to go and a plastic bag and even offered to put away some stuff for us into doggy bags. I got the Miguel queso which was a great appetizer and then got some boneless buffalo wings and the best part of it all was the Korean bbq beef tacos. I've been to the Houston yard house in memorial and this was my second one to visit based on my experience in Houston and San Antonio came through! This location is conveniently located across from the convention center and is a pretty spacious location upstairs. Food was typical and plentiful. Ordered the calamari appetizer and the whiskey salmon dinner and a pink dragon. All yummy no complaints. Our server checked in n us often showing us the kiosk at the table to order additional items. Stopped in before going to. spurs game. This Yard House location is inside the Rivercenter Mall in downtown San Antonio. It was a bit difficult to locate So we walked a couple of floors trying to locate it. I like that you can order , pay and play games from the ordering pad. I ordered fish and chips which was fantastic. The queso was nice as well. The service was ok but I did like that I had some time to play Plants vs Zombies while waiting. Expect to pay for parking if you're driving. Parking is in the parking garage of the mall. If they seat you in the back you have a great window view of the river walk and downtown street. Wow...great meal on a Monday night. We were having trouble finding a restaurant with decent ratings in The Riverwalk, but Yard House looked good. We were happy we tried it! My wife got the Steak Bowl--tender and tasty meat with a great veggie base. I got the Thai Pork Chop. Great zingy Thai sauce (on the side), with a similar base to the Steak Bowl. Excellent service, food came out very quickly, and drinks were great. Lots of menu items to pick from. read more
Located in the river center mall, 3rd floor or first floor entrance to staircase. We ordered online for pickup and got our order around 10 minutes after pick up time. The front staff is nice and casual. They gave plenty of utensils for the items we got. Poke nachos- the fish was of decent quality and freshness. I can't put my finger on it but some component of it has a wasabi spice which I'm not a fan of. The jalapeño had a nice kick and the wonton chips are thin. Adequate portion especially for happy hour, just not my cup of tea Jambalaya- filled with seafood, a few peeled crayfish on top. Has plenty of sausage pieces shrimp and chicken ( on the dryer side). The rice was cooked to okay texture. It was creamy, not too spicy but overly salty. I'm thinking my taste buds are lighter than texan tastes due to a common theme of things being salty. Given that there are so many food options on the Riverwalk, it can be difficult to find a location that isn't just a tourist trap. We decided to grab a quick bite at Yard House since I've had positive experiences before in Houston and we're glad we did! We came by on a Saturday around lunch time and it wasn't busy. There was plenty of seating, had great lighting and many TV's to catch a game. We decided to get the chicken nachos appetizer which is huge! The nachos were very tasty but I was disappointed the cheese was sprinkled cheese and not queso. Otherwise, they would have been even better. I've never been to this chain before and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. The service at this location was excellent and I was seated immediately. The overall vibe is a lot of 80's music and lots of TV's, a bit too much going on for my taste and a bit quieter location would be my preference. The food and beer menu were expansive and I had a couple of nice Belgian style ales which were excellent. They had a special Oktoberfest menu with a mushroom gravy pork chop on it so I chose that. I am happy I did! The pork chop was cooked perfectly with a nice outside char and still very juicy. The gravy was great with a nice mustard hint. I was super surprised at the quality from a chain. Only place open near the Riverwalk on a Monday night. Appreciate the late hours. It was decently packed. The service was good and the prices reasonable. I've had Yard House in Austin and the food, pricing and quality was the same here. The burger was a little dry but what do you expect if wanting it well done? One of the best Jambalayas ever is served right here! We came in for dinner late (real late!) after attending a Women's Conference and the place was packed with none other than a bunch of women! It seems to be the only restaurant that's open anytime after 10 PM and it was a life saver for a lot of us! We were a group of four and though there was a 45 minute wait, we waited and were seated right around that time frame. Our server was hustling and you could tell that they were short-staffed and probably not prepared for this large dinner crowd so late on a Friday night. She was however, on top of it and very sweet from start to finish! Our food order was taken quickly and we received our food just as requested. I along with another person in our group ordered the Jambalaya and it was absolutely delicious. I had the crawfish omitted and requested it extra spicy. It was well beyond my expectation. It was so good that we actually returned two days later for an earlier dinner and we both ordered the same thing again! The restaurant was clean and though it was a little loud, it was still quite comfortable. They are conveniently located along the San Antonio Riverwalk and serve dinner until 1 AM! Nice atmosphere, though it was a little confusing to get there. Had to take the elevator or head up the stairs to fleet to the restaurant. We were seated right away (Thursday night at 6:45pm). Ordered the Korean beef steak and the pineapple chicken. The beef steak had a really unique and good flavor. The chicken was a little dry, but the pineapple was yummy. The jasmine rice was yummy too, but a little undercooked for my taste. Service was okay. Had to ask for sauce twice. Wait staff was nice enough, just not super attentive. read more

Do you like beer? Then run for the Supreme Court! What? That's not how it works? Dang it. This location is convenient to the San Antonio Convention Center and honestly, it's a better choice than many places on the Riverwalk. Service is great considering the size of the parties we were with on a few different occasions. Even went back one night just for a drink. They have one of my favorite Wheat Beers, the Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier from Germany. It's good and refreshing. Their Watermelon Margarita is also good, especially if you're stuffed from dinner. I love the open-ness of this place too. It doesn't feel cramped like many Riverwalk restaurants which pack you in like fudge in a fudge box... or something like that. read more

I'm not sure for parties that large but, they do have an area that may accommodate you. I would just give them a call. The customer service was great!
I'm still trying to find a place that my 22 mo son can eat at. We're vegetarian, no alliums (onion and garlic family), no peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, eggs, avocado and kiwi. Can he eat anything here that isn't plain rice or a piece of lettuce?

Hey Lily! Sunday - Thursday our food last call is 12:30AM. Friday and Saturday it is 1AM.
What is the parking situation? Parking lot? Parking garage? Is it in a mall?
It's right outsize the big shopping center. Free parking is probably a no go but there is a parking garage next door. Although, it is right by the river walk, so park anywhere close by and enjoy the scene
