Stopped in before going to. spurs game. This Yard House location is inside the Rivercenter Mall in downtown San Antonio. It was a bit difficult to locate So we walked a couple of floors trying to locate it. I like that you can order , pay and play games from the ordering pad. I ordered fish and chips which was fantastic. The queso was nice as well. The service was ok but I did like that I had some time to play Plants vs Zombies while waiting. Expect to pay for parking if you're driving. Parking is in the parking garage of the mall. If they seat you in the back you have a great window view of the river walk and downtown street. The mocktail was just soda with a splash of some fruit syrup and taijin. very overpriced in my opinion. it was around $8? i think. When we walked in we asked for seating overlooking the River and sure enough we got a spot that is like a bridge to the other side. Hannah took care of us when we were seated. She was a great waitress and really got our stuff out quick and followed up every few minutes. Wow...great meal on a Monday night. We were having trouble finding a restaurant with decent ratings in The Riverwalk, but Yard House looked good. We were happy we tried it! Given that there are so many food options on the Riverwalk, it can be difficult to find a location that isn't just a tourist trap. We decided to grab a quick bite at Yard House since I've had positive experiences before in Houston and we're glad we did! We came by on a Saturday around lunch time and it wasn't busy. There was plenty of seating, had great lighting and many TV's to catch a game. We decided to get the chicken nachos appetizer which is huge! The nachos were very tasty but I was disappointed the cheese was sprinkled cheese and not queso. Otherwise, they would have been even better. One of the best Jambalayas ever is served right here! We came in for dinner late (real late!) after attending a Women's Conference and the place was packed with none other than a bunch of women! It seems to be the only restaurant that's open anytime after 10 PM and it was a life saver for a lot of us! We were a group of four and though there was a 45 minute wait, we waited and were seated right around that time frame. Our server was hustling and you could tell that they were short-staffed and probably not prepared for this large dinner crowd so late on a Friday night. She was however, on top of it and very sweet from start to finish! Our food order was taken quickly and we received our food just as requested. I along with another person in our group ordered the Jambalaya and it was absolutely delicious. I had the crawfish omitted and requested it extra spicy. It was well beyond my expectation. It was so good that we actually returned two days later for an earlier dinner and we both ordered the same thing again! This location is convenient to the San Antonio Convention Center and honestly, it's a better choice than many places on the Riverwalk. They have one of my favorite Wheat Beers, the Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier from Germany. It's good and refreshing. Their Watermelon Margarita is also good, especially if you're stuffed from dinner. What a fun spot to go catch dinner and watch some sports while staying in the Riverwalk area. We walked over to the mall from the Hyatt regency, and the Yard House is right in the middle of all the action in the mall. We were seated quickly, and the host team at the front desk made sure that the game we were most interested in was on the TV closest to our table. Our server, Daniel H was excellent throughout the evening, consistently offering additional items and refilling my soft drink. The best appetizer of the night is a new one, the hummus which came with some toasted dipping bread. The season brussel sprouts were amazing as well. Calamari was good but I've had better. Whether you're going for a full meal or just some appetizers and games, this is a terrific location. The vibe with certainly high energy, with families, dates, and sports watchers catching college football and MLB playoffs. I would not hesitate to return when coming back to the area. While visiting for the BODi Summit 2024, this was our go-to spot! It's conveniently located by the downtown hotels and the convention center. Easy to walk to because it's upstairs from the mall! The ambiance is more like an upscale sports bar with a huge bar in the middle, lots of big screen TVs and plenty of seating (booths and tables) to host large parties. Since I was on my nutrition plan, I like that Yard House has heart healthy options. I had the salad with grilled shrimp on day 1 and day 2 the poke bowl. Both were filling and delicious! To drink I also chose a nonalcoholic beverage - refreshers that have fusions of juice with sparkling mineral water. They hit the spot. Service is always accommodating, fast and friendly. Hello my friend and I dinned here at yardhouse last tuesday and thought we got really bad food poisoning turns out I was sent to the hospital and was held there for four days and tested positive for E.COLI !!! so there is an open investigation now to see how many people have gotten sick from yardhouse so please if you feel sick and recently had yardhouse go. get. tested. Met up with some of my hubs' hometown friends who had just flown in as they were here visiting a relative. We just passed Happy Hour but all was good. Sierra was our waitress and asked what we wanted to drink while waiting for our friends to arrive. I ordered an Ace Guava Cider which was so refreshing, tart, fruity as if it were a Sparkling Fruity Juice and very light alcohol. I was pleasantly surprised. Hubs loves Guinness so he ordered a flight of 4 Stouts as suggested by Sierra. He decided after tasting the rest, his favorite was still Guinness. Friends arrived shortly thereafter and we were catching up and perusing the menu at the same time. Sierra was very patient with us and had come around a couple of times to see if we were ready. After a few minutes, our friends ordered a Hazy beer to start which was very yellow & milky looking. It was really a bitter finish. Our other friend ordered a Skinny Margarita which was served in a highball glass vs. a tumbler or Margarita glass. Food orders were Pepperoni & Mushroom pizza, Poke Salad, Lobster Garlic Noodles entree and Firecracker Shrimp appetizer. The food seemed to take a bit longer but all entrees arrived together. The Lobster Garlic Noodles came with Shiitake mushrooms, spinach and shrimp. I think there could've been more lobster meat, larger shiitake mushrooms and spinach but I'm just basing it on this location. I've had the Shiitake Garlic Noodles before at La Cantera and that had chunks of mushrooms, lots of Parm cheese and very garlicky which impressed me. The pizza wasn't as tasty as our friend said he's had before and it wasn't very hot. The Poke salad looked good and with lots of ingredients. I was impressed and our friend ate the whole thing! I would order that next time. I've had the Ahi Crunchy salad before and that's always been tasty and consistent in any location I've had it. Glad it's been around for years. The service was fine but we had to ask for iced water refills a couple of times. It started to get busy probably around 7pm and later. The kiosk for paying was wonky and had shut down & turned black for some reason as we were paying? We ended up turning it off and removing the battery and rebooting. It was stalling again so we flagged down Sierra and she gave us a smaller kiosk that worked just fine.
