We heard about Yas Chicken on Instagram, so of course I had to Google first to check if it's halal--and Alhamdulillah, it is! We decided to visit on Saturday, and the place did not disappoint. The restaurant is nice, spacious, and has such a fun vibe. I absolutely loved the walls decorated with cute little chicken illustrations and playful details--it just makes the whole experience feel cheerful and welcoming. Once inside, we ordered through the kiosk, which was pretty easy and convenient. The wait time was reasonable, and while waiting, the staff and cashiers were very friendly and approachable. I even took a moment to double-check at the counter to be sure everything is halal, and the staff kindly confirmed it again, which gave extra peace of mind. With the sheer amount of fried chicken joints now on rainbow, this place should be high on your list. I don't know if it's just me, but I love a good fry, whether it's the chicken, fries or even waffles, yas chicken definitely fulfills all the requirements and pass the no "soggy" test. I got the yas OG meal, soy sauce chicken with rice (k Box) and the supreme sandwich meal and I haven't felt this satisfied in a minute. They also let us try the dessert waffle and it tasted like a funnel cake that had a nice crunch on the outside with a soft center all drizzled over with warm syrup. A new chicken spot has recently opened in SW (S Rainbow/ Windmill Ln. ) and it's truly delicious . It's perfect for a quick grub run ,when you want something filling without a long wait.The space itself is comfortable and spacious . I also appreciated the wall art as it adds a nice touch and completes the restaurant's theme. We have ordered: the Duo Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious, PERFECTLY CRISPY on the outside (not like other places that cannot get a fried chicken sandwich extra crispy) . But this one was nice and crunchy and cooked fresh. We have also tried: Chicken and Waffles - a MUST TRY! So I want to start off by saying that the Korean Chicken and Waffles is just delineated by the inclusion of the soy garlic sauce. The cashier was super friendly and informative. As for the flavor and texture, the waffles were super crispy and a bit fluffy. The chicken had a nice exterior and was moist inside as well, which is what I wish Canes was. Reviews were mixed when looking at Yelp but we wanted to give it a try. When we entered there were a few people eating and ordering. Service was great. The guy taking our order was helpful with deciding what to try and the heat level. Place is big with decent amount of seating and love the murals on the walls. Food was way better than the reviews on Yelp stated but everyone has their preference. Chicken was nice and crunchy and the soy garlic flavor was perfect and the heat level was the lowest and it had a very good kick. The chicken and waffle were good. Spotted this place and decided to try it. They opened just about a month ago. We thought it would be similar to KFC or something like those chain stores but we were pleasantly surprised that this was way better! Imagine raising canes but better! Clean and spacious, the decor was very cute and the staff were very friendly and answered our questions. We ordered their OG chicken sandwich and 3pc chicken tenders. If you want to play it safe for your first try, definitely recommend this sandwich! Soft yet crispy buns with their chicken tender, lettuce pickles and their special mayo. Out of this world good! I personally liked the 3pc tenders as well. They have 3 different sauces. If you want a hint of spice, I would go for the k-sauce. Of course we had to come out and support my niece's friend, even though their grand opening isn't until 4/20/26. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by vibrant, colorful walls with a fun chicken theme mixed with a touch of Vegas think dice and casino chips. The layout includes both bar-style seating and tables, and there are two separate entrances, which makes the space feel open and easy to navigate. The menu is all about chicken, and the restaurant originally comes from Boston. Iven, the cashier, provided excellent customer service. He welcomed us right away and took the time to answer any questions we had about the menu. We ordered a variety of items to try. The K-box came with popcorn chicken marinated in soy sauce and garlic, served over a bed of rice. We also had the chicken and waffles, the supreme sandwich, original chicken tenders with fries, and a side of mac and cheese. Hands down, these were some of the best chicken tenders and mac and cheese I've ever had better than Bojangles and Raising Cane's. The tenders were huge, perfectly coated, juicy (not dry at all), and seasoned so well they didn't even need sauce. The fries were fresh, crispy, and topped with Parmesan cheese. The supreme sandwich was phenomenal. The combination of coleslaw, bread, and chicken worked perfectly together every bite was incredible. The chicken and waffles are a must-try too. The waffles were fresh, and the chicken was once again juicy and flavorful. Every bite was satisfying. The K-box was also a standout the rice tasted authentic, not like typical boxed rice, which made a big difference. Danny, the owner, was incredibly kind and even came over to let us try their spicy house sauce. It had a nice kick without being overwhelming definitely flavorful and enjoyable. We also sampled their signature drinks in strawberry, passion fruit, and pineapple. All three were delicious, not overly sweet, and reminded me of Korean-style beverages. The restaurant has two restrooms, one for men and one for women. The women's restroom included a baby changing station and was clean and well-maintained. I'll definitely be coming back probably weekly since I live less than five minutes away. I'm already looking forward to bringing my kids to the grand opening. read more

So happy that a new chicken sandwich spot has appeared on Rainbow and Windmill! I walked in for a late lunch. Yas Chicken is in a small strip mall next to Tous Les Jour, not a ton of parking there so beware. The inside is nice and clean with colorful decor. I walked in around 3pm on a weekday. I ordered a YAS Og chicken meal with an iced tea online. Was greeted when I arrived, but it had only been 15 minutes and my order was still being prepared so I went next door to pick up some pastries and when I returned my to go order was ready. There was no tea available so I opted for gingerale instead. It was nicely packaged in a brown bag with cardboard box holding sandwich and fries. Had 2 YAS sauces to dip with. Surprisingly my sandwich was half the boxes size, the chicken had a light breading which was slightly crunchy, and there was some mayo pickles and some pieces of wilted lettuce in it. The sandwich itself was great, but just pulled out the 2-3 pieces of lettuce. My fries were crispy and hot. Overall, both were filling had good flavor with the sauce and made a satisfying lunch. The prices are really good, especially for the portion sizes. The place was spotless and felt very nice. The food was exceptional. The chicken had a perfect lunch and the hottest sauce was full of flavor and not so hot as to ruin the food. Happy to find a good fried chicken restaurant close to home. I tried the 5 piece chicken tenders meal. I also got the coleslaw and two extra sauces. One buffalo sauce and one spicy bbq sauce. Both sauces are dairy free and are delicious. The fried chicken tenders are juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The breading was adequately seasoned and did I mention dairy free. Even if the breading is flavorless, I am all about the dipping sauces. The three sauces I tried were all phenomenal. I can't decide which one I like the most. I guess it was when I mixed the Yas sauce with the buffalo sauce. What a great combination! The coleslaw wasn't lacking flavor as well. It had a nice pepper kick to it and the slaw sauce was a tad bit sweet. The two flavors play well together. I found out that even for the bun on the sandwiches are dairy free. The few things that have dairy are, the bun for the sandwiches are toasted in butter unless you specify that you have a dairy allergy, the limeades, horchata, ranch dressing, and the macaroni and cheese. Just inform them about any food allergies you might have because they are very knowledgeable and helpful. There are eight tables inside that each one seats 4 people. Then there is also several bar seating. Very modernized decor inside that provides a feeling of warmth and welcoming. I personally am glad that this restaurant is in the neighborhood! read more
