The best sushi I've had in town. The staff was great, the atmosphere was great, bathroom was clean, and food was delicious! My fiancé had the hibachi and the fried rice was amazing. Whatever pink sauce they give with the meal is unbelievable. We had to get a side order to take home with us. It's not shrimp sauce (a sauce popular in the south) but it is still good. The prices are about the same if not better than other Japanese restaurants. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back! Oh! This is by far my favorite Japanese spot in Kingston for reasonably priced and quality Sushi and Hibachi food. The rolls are to die for especially the Green Jade Roll and Japanese Chicken Fried Rice. Had an unfortunate first delivery experience. Ordered a sashimi deluxe and was given a sashimi regular, and all four of the salmon sashimi were cut in half to make it look like I was given 4 when in reality it was two. There were two pieces of salmon hanging from each other and it was very obvious that they had cut it in half. The sashimi and sushi itself were very good quality and delicious. What a great sushi place in kingston! The owners are so friendly. They were very accommodating to my gluten sensitivity. ITS BRAND NEW the floors are beautiful the space is tranquil with great soft music playing. I had 5 pieces of sushi, spicy tuna roll inside out with crunch, California roll and chef surprise salmon avacado roll inside out with spicy mayo on top in the picture. Presentation is beautiful. They made a bird out of carrots as garnish! The ginger is crispy natural ginger not dyed pink ginger that is soggy like in other sushi places. I can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu. They have popular SUSHI SANDWICH. Found that very unique I must try next time. This will be the perfect date spot for me. read more

The sushi quality and service here is excellent, it's really a midtown gem. We are so glad we gave this place a second chance after one pretty bad experience ordering delivery. This is not a surprise as I work at the local gym and have become acquainted with the family that runs this business and they are extremely polite and kind. Their children are courteous and they are very personable. Now, being sociable and having customer service does not always equate good food when it comes to restaurants and take out, but in this case, it certainly does. From the way that the food was prepared to the way that it was packaged, it was absolutely phenomenal! It was my fiance's birthday and in this current pandemic it is very hard to get reasonable healthy food... or even good tasting food period unless you take the risk and get groceries yourself. Well, he loves sushi and sashimi and I love tempura and edamame. My hopes were high because we bought so much and the bill was up there, but they completely delivered! Wow. The miso, the food I mentioned... even the Grub Hub delivery estimate was great. it took 30 mins rather than an hour. First visit to Yasuda and glad I did. Was there for dinner, two couples. Very clean, attractive, and friendly. We started with several appetizers, all very nicely prepared and tasty. We had a salmon teriyaki which had 2 very nice pieces of salmon. One person had hibachi shrimp. She loved it. Two of us had sashimi and sushi rolls. All fresh , tasty, and very well presented. Even the desserts were good. Tempura cheese cake was awesome. Joyce the waitress was a doll. This place is a keeper. read more

Ordered delivery which was a wonderful excuse not to leave the couch. Sushi was nicely presented and came within an hour of ordering online. However I disagree with other people's reviews of the quality of the sushi. I am a bit of a sushi snob perhaps (it's raw fish- shouldn't we all be when eating it?) the rice wasn't as sticky as it should be which automatically lost points for me. The rolls were tasty although the lack of stickiness in the rice didn't make them hold up as well. We also ordered hand rolls (decent) and sushi. Mackerel was not edible. Other sushi was decent. All in all, I would always choose other Kingston sushi joints over this one (Kodomo or Makio which is the best) But if you're looking for quick and easy, it's worth a shot. read more

Excellent sushi, service, and prices. We've been to a few sushi places in the area and have found Yasuda to be the best deal around for sushi. The quality is even better than some of the more expensive choices around. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well... we are new to the area but we are recognized and welcomed every time we go. They have a good selection of Sake as well - I'm no expert, but they guided me perfectly and explained the differences as well. I'm still no master, but the Sake they serve is great. read more

This is an amazing place! Casey, our waitress, was extremely attentive and Joyce, the owner, was very nice and helpful in guiding us to an absolutely great choice of meals. My husband and I happened upon this restaurant and the reviews were very good. I'm not usually one to just go try a new place when it comes to sushi, but we gave it a shot! So happy we did because it was delicious and they had what we needed as far as dietary restrictions. They had naruto which many places around here don't, and the brown rice was quite interesting, and added a yummy taste to all of our rolls. They were busy with take out orders, and there was only one sushi chef so we waited a bit. However, the owner was sweet and brought a few rolls out first so we would have something to eat. We enjoyed everything, the fish was very fresh!!! I'm also excited because we joined five stars and already I see I have a free appetizer waiting for me on my next visit. Yasuda is my go to sushi restaurant in Kingston. It is good sushi for being this far from the ocean and the employees are so friendly! Last time I went into the restaurant they remembered that I'm gluten intolerant and gave me gluten free soy sauce. They also will let me know what sushi rolls I can have that are gluten free. I also like that they deliver, which is a nice reprieve on Friday evenings when I don't feel like leaving my couch! The prices are very reasonable unlike other sushi restaurants in the Hudson Valley which think they can charge NYC prices. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program to get free stuff or check in at the restaurant to get a free roll. read more
