Shrimp Tempura Lunch Box Special
Laura D.

Came to lunch with my daughter today. She got spring rolls & hibachi noodles. I got the shrimp tempura lunch box special. This came with California rolls, white rice, veggies and Shumai. There was also a salad & miso soup (which we devoured before I could take a picture. Oh dear! It's a lot. I'm going to be eating this for a while. (Because I have a small stomach) SO good. The waiter is super nice and patient. The music is soft and just a nice ambiance in the background. It's not overly lit up but the front wall is all windows so it's plenty light enough. I really do enjoy eating here. Though I usually get it to go.

Loved the sushi sandwich and the rest of the rolls were great too. Also tried the tuna dumplings which were a favorite. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Good sushi in ''midtown" Kingston! Great lunch specials make it one of our favorites. They even have loyalty rewards program (a free app or miso soup yes pls!). I like their speciality rolls but all the simpler options never disappoint either. Even for dinner prices are very reasonable and always tastes fresh. Casual vibe inside. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating! Only good things to say about Yasuda!

Great place for sushi in Kingston! This is one of my favorite places to go with my friends, it never disappoints. I took a friend this weekend and the meal was delicious, and everything is always super fresh. We got 2 of each roll, spicy tune, eel and avocado, and the Kingston roll, the presentation was great! Our waiter was attentive and very kind, as well as the other staff. They quickly greeted us when we arrived and were incredibly helpful. I will definitely be back, and recommend you give Yasuda a try!

Seaweed Salad

Great experience at Yasuda! We started with the seaweed salad, gyoza, and spring rolls. All were very tasty and it came out very quickly! We then got vegetable and shrimp fried rice which was absolutely perfect. The shrimp was cooked so well and the veggies were tender. So delicious! For our sushi, we got the rainbow roll and the Kingston roll. Again, just very well done. Couldn't get pics because I dove right into eating. Our service was great, our waitress was so friendly and happy to serve us. The place is very quaint inside! We were so happy to hear music playing from the Studio Ghibli movies! Will 100% be coming back.

Salmon Teriyaki Dinner Bento box with soft shell crab
Shirley L.

Came by to Yasuda during my visit to Catskills. Their waitresses are all very friendly and provided wonderful service. I got the Salmon teriyaki bento box and the salmon was cooked just right. It came with salad and miso soup. The soft shell crab appetizer was a bit disappointing since it seems like the breading is either the breading is over cooked. Overall I would definitely come back in the future if I am in area! Can't go wrong with great staffs and decent food.

I already started eating it and just had to write a review. This is a volcano and tiger roll

I bought a Groupon for this business. I paid $15 to get $20 worth of food. Server gave me a hard time about using it but, finally she resolved it by talking over the phone to the owner. She said they make no money when people use Groupons. I will go back, but warning... not worth buying the Groupon.

They were happy to accommodate us and the service was pretty prompt. The food was excellent! We didn't do the hibachi tables, but they would've accommodated us at five or more. It's a huge space with a lot of room for regular and hibachi tables, with modern decor. Service is very friendly and consistent which is not always the case with these kinds of places. They had an issue with one of the vents while we were here, however they quickly fixed it. Just needed to leave the back door open for a bit. Drinks were on the sugary side which is typical; my mai thai was good however I couldn't do 2. Soup and salad were good. Chef was one of the better hibachi chefs I've gotten. Wish they flipped shrimp instead of veggies for an appetizer, but hey, recession. More importantly than the presentation and show (which was good), they did a really good job with the food. Steak was perfectly cool if a bit over seasoned. Scallops were seared better than I've had at a lot of fancier restaurants. Massive portions too when the veggies, noodles and rice were factored in too. Of course my food got switched at home, and I got a fuckton of chicken instead of my steak. I mourned this, however will survive to return again.

The bartender here is in her zone, she definitely knows what shes doing&runs her space like a boss!!!! We sat at the bar for a few drinks before being seated. But in comes Dan, our server, what a gem! Our food was great, my friend really enjoys his short ribs cavatelli, my husband ordered the half jerk chicken & didnt even leave a crumb! I had the maple glazed Salmon, and it delivered mouth watering goodness with just enough sweetness from the maple but not overpowering. They have a lot of seating and a good menu price range. My favorite thing about the menu is that they have duck fat fries! If you never had your French fries fried in duck fat then you are missing out!!! Now I wish I could give them 3.5 stars. I highly raved about this place but the last time I came it was such a disappointment. Our waitress though very friendly was not very attentive. We couldn't find her when we needed things and when we asked for things she didn't bring them. Now I'm sure she was busy and we never complained but that mixed with the fact that our food was just alright made me drop it a few stars. Also the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't the best, including the glassware. Now to be fair every other time I have come the food was fantastic. I typically always get the general tso fried chicken sandwich and I love it. So maybe it was an off day we all have those. I will go back again and see if they redeem themselves! Also I just want to make mention the sandwiches do not come with duck fat fries you have to specifically ask for them to be the duck fat ones.

What had happened was, thanks to hubs, he found Kingston Wok located in one of the many plazas on Ulster Ave in Kingston. Despite its strip small location, inside, looks anything but. The frontal has a bar area and is decked out with large plants. Their flaming red+black dining room hits you hard with lantern lamps giving out a nice glow to the already dim area. Hubs enjoyed his dumpling soup and charred pork ribs as he requested and pork fried rice. The fried wonton strips were divine+fresh tasting and my Thai Chili crispy red snapper fillet, was more than I could chew. But it was also busy. And while the sauce on the fish had a subtle heat, it was a gloppy heap of it. What's more, I was about to reheat my leftovers and actually noticed the red dye sauce at home. It was a turn-off. We'll return- but I'll go for non-saucy menu items next time. Our server was fast on his feet though and my Lychee Martini had nice strength.
