I never get out anymore but I went to Yasuda for sushi today and was honestly blown away. The tables were sectioned off and everything was clean. I got the most beautiful plate of sushi I've ever seen. I highly recommend the Kingston Roll and the Philadelphia Roll. The Spicy Tuna Roll is the best in town. The food was presented expertly and garnished with a beautiful flower. The sushi was very fresh and the staff was super nice. read more

Good food. Also offers quick delivery to a pretty large areas prices are a bit high but the amount of food you get make it a good deal. I'd recommend there stirfry dishes for about 15$ you get your choice of protein, noodles , soup and a ton of extras. The sushi I can speak on as I'm not a sushi fan lol sorry guys! read more

For a while we bounced around from restaurant to restaurant for Japanese food, until I finally realized that Yasuda's sushi was indeed the best in town. Staff is friendly, service is prompt, and there are plenty of options for my non-sushi eating spouse. Pro tip: unless it's been revised, call in for take-out. The online system seems to not be performing as it should. Always nicer to stop in anyway, whenever you can. Support this jewel of an eatery, especially with all the crazy construction on Broadway these days in addition to the closures. I'm sure they'll appreciate it. read more

I spent a couple of months in Kingston for a business trip. I dined at the restaurant several times and always had a fantastic experience. The owners are very friendly and create a very welcoming atmosphere. The sushi is fresh with top quality ingredients. The sushi chef appeared very passionate and offered several great specials on and off the menu. Don't miss the Broadway Special or the Fish Volcano (was not on the menu). Being new to the area, i always want to find the best sushi around. Hands down Yasuda has the best sushi in Kingston and i have heard rave reviews from many people. It is super easy to order takeout from them, and they also deliver locally. I have never had any issues or complaints when ordering from Yasuda and always recommend them to friends. I have come to this restaurant after visiting the Catskills Mountain Railroad and have to say that the food was really good. I have had fried calamari in many places in the city and I really have to say that it was one of the best calamaris I had. I also liked the Japanese fried rice. We love Yasuda. As a shellfish allergic person, it's generally very risky however they always know what to avoid without my reminding about the usual suspects, and I've had very good luck despite my extreme sensitivity with only the occasional swelling (it only takes a molecule and is bound to happen and I accept it is unavoidable even with best practice). The deliciousness of the sushi is worth it (I'm not anaphylactic, just swollen face, belly and migraine for 3-4 days) along with the wonderful hospitality. It beats another popular sushi joint in town hands down in that regard, and less expensive, too. When I get the urge for Yasuda it just doesn't go away until I go there or order. Just an absolute gem, and thrilled to have it. read more

Our server (maybe the owner?) was so prompt and kind and it was truly such a pleasure making conversation with her. Just finished 6 hours of brutal hiking and I was starving. I could eat a cow. Decided to swing by Kingston (which was out of the way for my drive) and grab some Japanese food. I was greeted by an extremely friendly waitress who took my order. The staff here were so friendly, the service was amazing! And the amount of food they give you is jaw dropping. I ordered the salmon teriyaki dinner box for $18 and believe it or not, there was enough food to satisfy my ravenous appetite. Salmon, rice, shumai, dense California rolls with avocado, and th y gave me a whole tray of tempura! 2 shrimp and 4 potato tempura! The ungodly amount of food was presented very well. I don't live in upstate NY but for anyone who does, visit this place. read more

The sushi was good. Rice was not sticky. My sushi roll fell apart. Although the roll was presented beautifully and tasted good. The chef was very friendly and appreciative of our business. He showed us how to carve the beautiful carrot flowers. Very talented. I can see he enjoys what he does and takes pride in making his customers happy.
