I stopped here to get dinner on a Friday evening, party of one. When I asked to be put on the list I was told no because they don't have tables for one person. Like, sure, I wish I had a dinner date too, but that logic also doesn't make any sense. There are tables for four all around me that only have two or three people and empty seats. Really, how many restaurants are out there that are 24 hours, and give you little dishes to munch on before the main course arrives. I really like their ox-tail soup and bi-bam-bop. So goooood. And it's always so lively there, with ladies dressed up so nicely in traditional gowns. Open 24/7. Great food, long wait times, and service is rushed. I usually get the bbq but cannot order anything I want because they separate into cook at table side and not. I think they mean cook yourself and cook for you, both at table side. Cannot order the cook yourself platter with the cook for you platters. Any platter is good so you cannot go wrong with any choice as long as you like meat. Tofu soups and pancakes are also good. I wouldn't order the noodles due to the prices. Be sure to ask for their hot tea and sesame oil salt sauce for the bbq. read more

I came back to Yechon after for a while. It seems the service is better than before. But it took too long time to explain how Samsung pay works. I said I want to pay using my Samsung pay. And they said, they don't have any proper device. I said why you need special device Samsung pay will work at your system without any special device. Great place to grab a taste of Korea. Menu has a great selection of Korea food (not just BBQ). While parking is constantly full, there is usually more in the back. The servers are always helpful but sometimes they get really busy and require to be flag down. Been back here a few times and have some friends, who comes here daily. read more

One of my favorite go to places for Korean. Korean restaurants all have their own specialties, but Yechon's does it all well. The lunch specials are great. I usually do the Galbi or spicy Pork bento box and also the chirashi (hwe dup bop) which is the best in Annandale over Gaboja and Soju Sarang...usually come here for the soju, short ribs, spicy pork on the bbq grill. Also the service here is great even when it's busy. My gf and I always feel welcomed and walk out full. Only negative is the long wait during prime time. read more

Best KBBQ for your buck. Service was quick but very good even though it was busy as heck inside. The food, meanwhile was nothing short of amazing, as my date and I got the bulgogi and the chadolbaegi (which was cooked on our table) for entrees, and an order of the shrimp tempura sushi as an appetizer. All of the sides were amazing, although some of them I didn't even know what they were, and one of the servers even showed us how to properly eat the meat with the lettuce and sides. I've been going here for about two decades since I was in elementary school and while the food quality hasn't decreased so much that I refuse to go there anymore, it has significantly gone down. Each time I go there's at least one dish we have to address with the server either because something isn't cooked right or it's too salty or it's too bland. What's more - the service is always insanely rushed and blatant. I understand this place has gotten much more popular, especially with non-Koreans so that's made the staff treat their customers less personally, aiming to turn over tables as quickly as possible. Now every time I go I get the bill even though I didn't ask for it and they continually check if I've gotten my credit card, frowning if I haven't yet. I feel like I'm not a valued customer anymore but rather just a dollar sign and they need me to leave as soon as possible so another table can come and give their tip. I totally get this is their bread and butter but it's not cool if it comes across in your service that you can't wait for the table to be done. So bad food + rushed poor service is why I can't give this place anymore above one star. Sorry not sorry. read more

We were in tysons corner so we decided to detour to Annandale and try some of the famous Korean food. I found yechon on a bunch of articles, so we decided to go. It is a pretty run down area but the restaurant is very cozy and well run. The people are very quick to get you a seat even when it's the lunch rush hour. We ordered two bibimbap- one beef and one seafood, and two yukgaejangs (sp?) the bibimbap were pretty good but not super special or anything. The beef soups were both flavorful and aromatic but a bit skimpy on beef and noodles. The scallions could've been cooked a bit longer as well. The banchan was quite good; I especially loved the kimchi becasue I find kimchi too sour most of the time. I also loved the acorn jelly thing. The waitresses are very nice but sometimes forget to refill your tea, which you'll probably want when your mouth starts to burn uo from all that spice! At the end, they gave us some orange slices as well, a nice touch. It wasn't too expensive either. All in all, a decent Korean restaurant. read more

I wonder who has been writing reviews on this place? My husband and I decided to check out this place, because it got great reviews here on yelp. Boy were we dissapointed! First we got a varied selection of korean side dishes (panchan). The problem was that most of them were not good. The kimchi had potential, but the rest of the side dishes looked and tasted artifical. Then we got beef to be grilled at our table (ju mul rock). The meet was ok. But we did not get the usual condiments to the meet. No garlic. No sauce. No sesame oil with salt. We decided to ask for the sesame oil, but when we could detect the msg crystals swimming in the oil we were given, we just ate our meat the way it was and left. I've tired a lot of other korean places and no other place has come close to beating yechon to me. ANd of course teh 24/7 always helps. I come for lunch, dinner and after midnight hours. Good service, delicious food, and always open for 24-hours. I've been here three or four times at different hours of the day, and it always seem packed with a huge Korean crowd. Given the portion sizes and the quality, the prices are extremely generous. Where else can you get a salmon bento box with a side salad, tempura pieces, a delicious vegetable side, and a nicely cooked (generously sized) slab of salmon for $7.95 during their lunch special? Their soondubu jigae (spicy seafood tofu soup) always hits the spot, and it's something I look forward to after being done with a rough semester at school. It was a horrible experience dining at this restaurant. My friend went there before and had great dinner. This time, we decided to go there together. I went there with a friend who prefers not to have pork. Here were our horrific experiences. 1) We picked up their special #1 But, we were not sure if some dishes could be changed because no pork was preferred. So, we asked the waitress if we could change some of dishes. She just answered "NO! Choose something else!" ------ What was that attitude? Is anything wrong if customers prefer not to eat pork? If you gave that attitude, how could you expect them to tip? 2) We asked the waitress if there is anything with pork in the set of special #1. She answered "only pancake". So, we decided not to eat others dishes in that set, except pancake. They first delivered "sashimi". 2 pieces of tuna, 2 pieces of salmon and 3 pieces of white fish. Tuna looked sooooooo black, smelled so fishy, tasted not fresh at all. Salmon tasted not fresh as well. Only the 3 pieces of white fish was acceptable. Then, they delivered "dumpling soup." Before we ate that, we asked them if the dumpling contained pork. Ironically, they answered "yes." ----- We did ask if anything else with pork will be the set of our order. The waitress told us "only pancake." So, why did you deliver the "pork" dumpling soup to us?! Furthermore, the grilled beef and fish were burned. We didn't like that. 3) When we were waiting for our dinner, we heard something ridiculous. Two girls were seated next to us. Before they sat down, they asked the waitress if they could change their seats. The waitress just answered "no", and put the menu on the table and walked away. Same thing happened around 10 minutes later. Two guys came to that restaurant and were seated to the table they didn't like. Those two guys asked if they could change their seats. The waitress just answered "no", and put the menu on the table and walked away. ----- We couldn't understand why customers couldn't choose their tables since the restaurant was not that crowded yet. If they could not provide other tables, customers should have been noticed the reasons, instead of answering "no" and walking away. In my personal perspective, that dinner ruined my great day.
