Ordered spicy beef salad and a pad sii-ew for pickup. Quoted 20 minutes, arrived 20 minutes later and still had to wait for 15. The noodles in the pad sii-ew were hard and then burned. The egg and broccoli was disgustingly burned. The beef in both the noodles and the salad was so incredibly dry. Lastly the entire salad filled up maybe a quarter of the to-go container. We would have missed a dining experience here had we believed the website that stated closed on Wednesday's. They were trying out something with hours of operation, so we were in luck! We ordered the night's specialty of fried garlic spare ribs; one regular, the other medium spicy. Both plates come with (not entirely fresh) broccoli and cut up carrots, plus a side of sticky rice packaged in this cut little wicker container. The fried garlic spare ribs were so goooood!!!! Spicy or regular, the tender spare ribs were perfectly seasoned with garlic and chili sauce. They were on the teeny tiny side as far as size and served piping hot! This ought to be a regular on the menu. The Pad Sii-Ew with chicken was also good. The wide noodles were prepared just right with just the perfect amount of sweet soy sauce. The papaya salad was crunchy, drizzled with peanut sauce, topped with chopped peanuts alongside cabbage pieces. Dessert consisted of a plate of fried bananas, a scoop of coconut ice cream, and finished off with a drizzling of Chocolate syrup. It was yummy! The Thai iced tea was also thirst quenching. Overall, the food was well liked. I'm not a big fan of curry, so it's ironic how I allowed myself to eat here despite the restaurant's name. Generally speaking, the restaurant's ambiance was not too striking and could have benefited from being cleaner. We had a really attentive and extremely nice server. Food is great! So fresh, high quality, and good flavor! One of the best Thai ice teas I've had and I'm from Los Angeles so I've had a lot. I would give 5 stars if it were about the food only however it is not. It is also about customer service. The woman who owns and runs the place is very rude, not friendly at all. I've never seen her smile and I've been there 10+ times. I also say please, thank you and have a nice day, I always leave good tips even when I order take out. The first review I saw for this place warned of child-sized portions for entrees but we went anyway. I should have listened to the review. Expect to pay $15-18 for small portions of bland food. In my husband's case, it was burnt. Peruse the reviews here and you'll see that "small portions" are a common complaint and burnt food is a recurring one. read more

This place is legit. It's a small place with standard options. We got the Lost in the Ocean, pad sii-ew and salad rolls. We ordered take out on a Saturday and had a 20 minute wait. Both main dishes had the right amount of spice-you know it's there but it's not hot- and the salad rolls were made to order. Surprised the owner sent a message back regarding my review which stated their food was good, just need better service from a customer's perspective. After all if you are in the restaurant/food/hospitality business, wouldn't you think customer service is pretty important? Owner replied on a private message saying: "Thanks for letting us know that your attitude stinks and we will not at all be losing sleep over you not coming in again." Apparently this owner has a very mature way of handling customer concerns. (Sarcasm) Guess 2 star was too high of a rating. No matter how good the food is, which in this case was pretty average, if you don't feel welcomed or treated fairly then there's no point in ever returning. Or even recommending anyone from going there in the first place! I see the employees must learn from the owner that being rude is ok. Good luck with your restaurant, I truly do wish you success. Maybe next time you can learn to take constructive criticism and work on people friendly skills. It doesn't hurt to treat people nicely even you must set your differences aside. We ordered "fresh rolls" but it didn't taste like anything in it was really fresh... the wilted brown lettuce in it wasn't hard to miss and the chicken seemed To have come straight off an old store bought chicken rotisserie that had been sitting out. We were at Seaside looking for a Thai restaurant and found this little place not too far from our hotel. We saw that they had papaya salad posted on the door and thats what drew us in. We were at Safeway and asked the cashier where a good place was to get good, fresh food in town. Gentleman in line behind us heard us and suggested Yellow Curry. We both like Thai, so took the suggestion. It was definitely well worth it!! I had a 4* Pad Thai and my boss had the 4* Spicy Basil. Both were excellent. No, portions aren't huge but Seaside is considered a "resort" town, so compared to price, definitely worth the money, and we both had leftovers. We will be back! We were there late on a Tuesday, within an hour of closing, so it wasn't busy. We had great service, and a nice chat with the owners. Very personable and friendly. Pretty mediocre Thai food at the equivalent of great Thai food prices. Rice portions very small compared to curry portions, which essentially renders the curry into an overly rich soup.
