Came into yellow with a group of four. We were told only 2 tables sat 4 and that there were multiple people waiting for that table. We were told it could be a 2 hour wait which actually was less than an hour wait! We were sent a notification via text that our table was ready. Our server was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We started with wine, cocktails and beer. I loved that they had orange wine, it's my favorite and hard to find. For starter plates we ordered the Sfeeha and hummus w/ pita both of which were amazing! The toum was amazing and paired perfectly with the lamb. Our server mentioned that the not pizzas were about personal size but there was no way I could've eaten a whole one myself. We ordered the Soujek and had a bite of our friend's eggplant pizza. The flavors of everything were so robust and all of the ingredients were fresh. We finished the night with soft serve, we ordered the Labne and it was the star of the show!! Highly recommend coming in for dinner service at Yellow. We can't wait to come back!! read more

Great service and everything is great. Some highlights: - the olive oil cake is a must try, moist and rich. - line moves really quickly and service is also fast - the food is fantastic, some of the drinks are meh. - the lambs soft serve is incredible but it's not as good as the olive oil cake. - the breakfast slightly beats the lunch menu, plus better pastry selection when you come in early. - if you're a vegetarian, the cauliflower pita is better than the falafel. (and the lamb is better than chicken if you eat meat) All in all, 10/10. read more

Somebody Feed Me! Delcious chicken swarma and lamp pita. Getting in the queue again for pastries.

I love the food at yellow! I do not go often, because it is quite expensive (I end up spending $41 for a chicken schwarma sandwich, batata tots, and iced tea.) The chicken schwarma is divine the perfect blend of warm and savory spices, with a lovely purple cabbage slaw, and less lovely pickle layer at the bottom which I remove (sorry not a pickle girlie.) on the weekends this place is extremely packed and loud, but on week days it's possible to get a table and read a book. Have yet to try the pastries, but they look lovely. Overall, great addition to Georgetown, but definitely intended for people with Georgetown money. Also the batata tots dip is DIVINE!! read more

Beautiful pastries and amazing food, the only issue I have had is that they are inconsistent in the coffee and lattes department lol- other than that I truly enjoyed everything - it's a beautiful cafe to just catch up and talk with friends, they don't allow laptops which I think it's pretty cool - allows you to truly be in the moment, they usually sell out of a lot of the popular pastries so try and get there early! read more

This is a really cute and inviting space- I'd been to the location in Navy Yard, but had to check out Georgetown! The pastries at the Navy Yard location tend to sell out, so we went about an hour after the Georgetown location opened and everything was still available. The soujek croissant was our favorite- kind of like a ham and cheese croissant but with the most incredible spicy sausage instead of ham. We also really liked the za'atar and labneh croissant and the harissa egg croissant (which is like a little croissant cup that comes with a jammy egg- yum). Highly recommend trying the smoked dirty chai as well! read more

Yellow is a super cute cafe you can study, chat, and hangout in. We ordered two of their specialty lattes and they were pretty good. A nice balance of sweetness and creaminess. The cafe is a little on the louder side but I was able to get work done with my AirPods in! I would return to try their food next time. read more

WOW!! Somebody Feed Phil recommended this and we knew we had to try. The line was around the corner on a Sunday at 12, and it was worth the wait. It moved fast too!! We had the lamb shoulder pita, the harissa hummus, the coconut cardamom coffee, the peanut dalgona, and the brown butter cookie. It was so delicious. A great location and atmosphere too!! read more

I love this place so much!! Cutest new cafe in Georgetown with a great atmosphere and aesthetic. Super busy on weekends, but I think it's worth the short wait (I always take the food to go anyways). First time I came I tried the salad, brownie, and baklava mocha latte. Salad was yummy but a little heavy on the dressing. I didn't like the baklava mocha, but I think that was a personal thing because my friend liked it. Brownie was suuuuuper rich and delicious. Came back again today to try their falafel pita and dirty chai latte. And these. These were both AMAZING. Super flavorful falafel and pita with lovely texture combinations. Dirty chai was strong but not bitter, which I like. I think some of the items on the menu are a little bit off on their preparation or maybe just not for me, but if you know what's good you're bound to have something delicious! read more

Ive walked by this location numerous times and have been intrigued. It's always bustling so I was not surprised when they told me there was a 1/2 hour wait. Once seated, I was immediately greeted by my server, placed my order for a turmeric latte and harissa not pizza and no later than five minutes later had my food at the table. this food was amazing!!! read more

I was so excited to try the new dinner concept at YELLOW, called (Not) Pizza. It was an incredible night of food!! I would highly HIGHLY recommend getting reservations in advance: the space is small and we got our Thursday night reservation about 2 weeks beforehand. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and explained the menu to us in immense detail. He was awesome and helped us select some amazing dishes! We started off with the falafel jibne and the fattoush, which were both excellent. The falafel in particular was so fun, almost like a cross between a falafel ball and a mozzarella stick. For our (not) pizza, we got the soujek, their take on a sausage and pepper pie. The flavors were incredible, and the sourdough crust was to die for. One of my favorite bites of the night was the crust dipped in their delicious hummus. The crusts are designed for dipping, so I would definitely recommend getting a hummus or dip! The drink menu has a focus on natural wine, but the cocktail offering were also great. I got the sumac g&t to drink, which was sensational. I loved the savory sumac and the distinct take on a classic cocktail. For dessert, we shared the labne soft serve. If you get anything on this menu, this is the thing to get. The ice cream itself was rich, nutty, and delicious, but the best part was the warm, flaky, melt in your mouth baklava hidden beneath. The ice cream was not too sweet, so it went perfectly with the baklava. Overall, this is an amazing restaurant! We went as a date night, but I would recommend going with a larger group so you can try more of their unique and delicious pies. read more

A friend was raving about this Yellow and so we went. Why the okay? This cafe is expensive for a fast food restaurant. A croissant rolled in za'atar with a fried egg inside for $12. A tangerine juice (small bottle) $5. The food was quickly delivered to the table in a box...like you get on an airline with a cold breakfast. Read the receipt and see that Yellow charges and additional 3% on the bill "to provide a full benefit package, including health insurance, to all of our employees". Total for two was $48. read more

My favorite coffee spot in D.C. right now. Every drink is unique and I've never been disappointed. But, I do think the real draw is the sweet and savory pastries and baked goods. It's a perfect place for a quick morning bite and caffeine hit. And go for dinner! I've been once with friends and the small menu has a lot of hits. I love this place. My only gripe is Yellow is so popular on the weekends it can get mobbed in the mid morning. I definitely advise friends to get there as close to opening as possible. read more

Came in for the smoked lamb pita for lunch. Overall it was a tasty lamb pita. I recommend eating on the spot as it doesn't travel well. This is quite pricey for basically $20 after tax and fees so the value is not there for me. read more

i've been here a few times. i'm not here to be negative, but i feel like this place is mainly just hype. one time i was served raw chicken, and got no apology or acknowledgment for the mistake. the potatoes were super greasy, and the last time i went i was about to take the first bite of the chicken shrawarma, and it was dripping in oil or grease. it was like a water faucet, nonstop just dripping oil. like i said i'm not here to be negative, but when your spending $75.00 for two sandwiches and potatoes i expect the food to at least be edible. the one thing i did like was the ice coffee with coconut cream. i don't think i will return from my prior experiences. i'd rather go to little sesame or falafel. just my honest opinion. read more

I really like yellow a lot. This is the first time I've seen good Middle Eastern food in DC. I love the diverse parts of the ME their food draws on. I really like the labne croissant with zataar. 10/10. The date honey latte is to die for. I would honestly walk there just for the coffee. The place's aesthetic is very nice as well. My only complaint is that they often run out of many items, such as eggs... or croissants... Also, the food is a bit expensive. But worth it, so I'm still a very happy customer. read more

Deserves its Michelin accolade - actually no, it has totally earned it. Everything is perfect and the vibe is chill. The oven and the pita baker fairy are mesmerizing to watch. The Zatar breakfast sandwich is to die for. The simplicity of a perfect croissant lightly sweetened with orange blossom glaze will leave you surprised that you ate the whole thing in 38 seconds (at least this was me!) the drinks are also fantastic.
