Really quick service seem like a semi-dine in dine out experience where utensils, multiple sauces are all provided on the side for you to get for yourself. They had a good sauce, collection, white pepper, chili, oil, soy sauce, vinegar, etc. for you to make, whatever fits for you! 1. Popcorn chicken: super super good, really crispy outside had good flavoring, pepper taste the meat inside was really juicy. 2. Beef roll: smaller than expected, but good. The outside was semi-crispy with really good juicy beef and good sweet sauce as usual. 3. Boiled dumplings: these were not as good as expected, not too much flavor, the sauce that was provided with it wasn't super flavor for either. A little blend overall. We catered the Lunar New Year celebration lunch for our team from Yes Cafe! The variety of foods reminds me of my stay in Taiwan. The fried oysters is one of my favorites, the green beans and squid balls are a close second. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was ample seating. Very simple interior with a nice painted mural. I've been looking for a good place for Taiwanese food and this definitely hit the spot. They have all the authentic flavors of Taiwan and it made me both miss home and feel like home! The people are so kind and family run. You can tell them love their food and what they're doing. Lots of regulars came in and everyone knew everyone. I got the pork chop special which was so delicious, perfectly fried, not oily, crispy but still tender and not overcooked on the inside. I love that they give the Taiwanese sides of tea egg and sour cabbage which compliments everything so well. I also got the fried silken tofu which was amazing! Delicately fried so the outside was crispy and still soft on the inside. The garlic dipping sauce was delicious and tastes like how I grew up with. I also got the Taiwanese sausage which is one of my favorites. I prefer the whole sausage and just biting it but they nicely slice it for you. They also have papaya milk which is such a treat in Taiwan and tasted so good! Not artificial like some other places. Very unassuming place in a strip plaza but the food is legit and authentic. We got the special pork chop combo and braised pork rice. The pork chop was actually juicy and the crispy crunch was quite satisfying. The sauce on the braised pork really was tasty. The braised egg that comes with it was very good too. I'm from the Bay Area and we don't have many good Taiwanese food options here. Came to AZ on businesses trip and discovered this local gem. This place serves the most authentic Taiwanese food ever! Both my bf and I were very satisfied. It seems like this place has a lot of regulars because each costumer that comes in, the manager (I think, or maybe owner) would greet them by their first names. We arrived before opening and it was already a full house by the time we ordered! You walk in, place your order and pay first. Then find a table/seat and they will bring the food out to you. You can get your own water cups and utensils in a specific area near the cashier/trash area. We ordered the seaweed and bean curd combo, fried pork chop meal, popcorn chicken meal, and boiled vegetables. The dishes came out on Taiwan shaped plates, so cute!! When I took the first bite out of the seaweed and beancurd cold appetizer, I immediately knew this place was authentic. I even ordered an extra one to-go to bring back to San Francisco for my Taiwanese mom to try! She loved it! The pork chop rice tasted like the 100 NT bentos I get near where I lived in Taiwan. The flavor is spot on! My bf really enjoyed his popcorn chicken rice. The vegetables were legit too, similar to what I would order as a side at Formosa Chang or any of those minced pork rice joints in Taiwan. Perfect spot for casual meal and drinks. We were here for food only this time. Their porkbelly rice plate was so yummy. It came with steamed cabbage and tea egg. Perfect complete meal. Their beef noodle soup was just ok. Noodles were cooked perfectly with chewy texture. The broth tasted little instant to me though. The fried tofu was nice appetizer to share. I was happy I found this place today, seems to be a great lunch and snack spot. I ordered their Special Pork Chop plate and Boba Pudding Milk Tea. The pork chop was delicious and surprisingly light. The pork chops are boneless and breaded, and I think they use Five Spice or something similar for seasoning. Really good flavor served with rice, egg and tofu. The milk tea was also one I enjoyed. The pudding blended nicely with the drink and the boba is soft! I would order these two items again but would also like to try others. This is a hidden gem. The owner is friendly and nice. We particularly like their kumquat tea and papaya milk. The papaya milk is especially unique as I don't know anywhere else that serves a similar drink. I highly recommend the papaya milk if you want to try something new. The drinks are super affordable! The rice dishes is food you can eat when you want something that reminds you of home cooked meals. I think their taiwanese braised pork rice is yummy but not the best recipe I have tried. However, it is something I would order again! Their popcorn chicken is nice and crispy and moist but I think could have additional flavoring to give it more umami taste. They are offering pickup and that's all I needed to know as I was craving some serious comfort food that was different. I went all out as I had a work meeting with the popcorn Chicken, Spring Rolls, Gyoza, Fried Taiwanese Sausage, and some Passion Fruit Tea. Upon entering it was strange to see all the chairs and tables put away but it's clear they are aligned with safety protocols which was comforting to know. Several of my Tai friends were impressed when I brought them by before. Food was ready as expected and packed nicely for when I got home. The gentleman was nice and explained everything including helping us to understand that Taiwanese food is different than traditional Chinese food. We ordered pan fried noodles, pork rice, and gyoza. Nice sized portions, neither of finished our dishes. Noodle dish was tasty with lots of what I know as glass noodles, several pieces of beef, mushrooms, some cabbage and carrots. Flavorful sauce. Pork rice was excellent...but I love anything rice! Nice flavor and I added a tad of soy sauce. The gyoza was great...fried to perfection and filled with meat and veggies. Loved the dipping sauce, which had chunks of garlic and was so much better tasting than many other places. We ended with a taro milk tea and taro slush, both with boba. Used to come here a lot when they first opened. The previous boss lady was super nice. Now, the new boss uncle is not friendly and very impatient. He was nice to some pretty white woman and his Chinese buddies. I spent over $90 on meals and milk teas for my kids. Rude uncle made a mistake on one boba order and excluded the boba. He was mad at me because the drink already came with a topping, so no need for boba and he was going to charge me $1 for 2-ounce of side boba. Really? I came for nostalgics, but came home irritated. Say YES to Yes Cafe! My husband and I have visited Yes Cafe numerous times and have yet to be disappointed. Most people who wanted into the cafe are there for the bubble tea, which is delicious! I recommend the mango slush, taro tea and the fresh watermelon slush - all so refreshing to combat the Arizona heat. As far as entrees, I HIGHLY recommend the popcorn chicken meal, but also enjoy the pork chop rice, the braised pork rice and even the side of veggies which are always freshly cooked and satisfyingly savory. The fried tofu is nice and crispy as well. This most recent trip we tried their pork and shrimp steamed dumplings that were also fabulous. If you want a bit of Taiwanese home cooking, I recommend making this your spot. We drive over 20 miles specifically to go here and it is worth it every time. read more

So of course I search for beef noodle soup on Yelp and Yes cafe pops up...good reviews and food looks good so we ordered to go -Beef noodle soup: WTF...2 tiny/thin slices of beef and the broth was soooo oily with no rich flavor. $8.50 -ground pork noodle: MISSING the damn pork. Like come on dude. It was way too salty with not much flavor. Tasted like a mix of soy sauce and hoisin sauce just mixed together. Ew $6.25 -beef roll: looked like a dollar menu bean and cheese burrito. Barely any beef, no flavor(just hoisin sauce) and green onions. $4.95 -popcorn chicken: flavor was ok but guess what..we got like 5 pieces. $5.75 Overall, this place does not have flavor in their food-they just drench it in soy sauce or hoisin sauce. It was pretty standard and run-of-the-mill and the pudding was sweet and smooth. It's nothing I can't find at a more favored boba shop closer to home. I did manage to swipe an egg puff from Karen W.'s egg waffle and that was pretty fantastic. It was a dense memory foam pillow [sounds so delicious, right?] that tasted like Chinese steamed egg sponge cake [Ji Dan Gao 鸡蛋糕]. I like the more airy kind of egg puff but this hit the spot! I used to go to this boba shop at least once a week. They used to go by a different name a long time ago. I tried a few of their drinks recently. The store was quiet when I got there. I like that because most places are too noisy for me. Their milk tea is a bit weak on the flavor for me. I thought that it tasted like a weak chocolate milk. Maybe the flavor that I was tasting was malt. If you have ever had a malted milk shake, the flavor was like that. I have also tried their almond snow and that was more along the lines of what I remember their drinks to taste like. The boba and the pudding was fine. I think for the most part boba and pudding is almost the same at all of the places I have been to. There was only one place where the boba had a weird flavor and it was the standard boba. Sometimes the texture of the boba can be a problem but that was not the case here. The boba was not too squishy or firm. They also have board games there, I think for large groups to play when they have the time to spare. Their basil chicken had meat in it and was crunchy. The flavor was a bit mild. We were traveling to Arizona and found this Taiwanese restaurant, totally love it! The Taiwanese food here is authentic and even better than the TW restaurants in the bay area. We visited Yes Cafe twice during our four days there (if it wasn't closed during the 4th of July, we might have gone there every single day. lol) We had the pork chop rice plate, crispy but tender; my husband's favorite is ground pork noodles. I love their beef noodle soup and even the yam leaves with the ground pork sauce are so yummy. My son said their Jasmin Milk Green Tea with boba was the best in his life ( he had tried most boba tea shops in the bay area, including Truedan, Gong Cha, T4, Sharetea, Yifang...). The boba is chewy and at least 30% less expensive than in the bay area; who can resist that? The owner is nice and we'll definitely come back if visiting AZ again (well, maybe not in the summer)! read more

Luckily it was on the way home coming from phoenix. Never did I think it was like the only place in the valley. I had ordered minced pork with rice,popcorn chicken,and butter coconut brick toast. The minced pork and rice was real good. Not salty at all and flavorful. As flavorful gets. More like comfort food to me. It's very simple. The popcorn chicken was juicy. I had wished they made it spicy. All I could do was put cayenne pepper on it. And the brick toast was ok. It needed condensed milk which I had to ask after I took a few bites. An impressive variety of bubble tea drinks (Hot and cold), and inexpensive, hearty dishes. How can you go wrong? Yes Cafe is a definite improvement over the previous Lollicup in many ways! After looking through the extensive array of flavors offered for drinks (Fruity, coffee, or creamy/milk-based to name a few) I decided on a small hot almond milk tea with boba and had the popcorn chicken combo with rice ($6.50). I also tried some of the beef noodle soup. The almond milk tea had the perfect amount of almond flavor and was not super sweet which I greatly appreciated. The popcorn chicken was excellent. It was served with a soy sauce marinated egg, marinated tofu, pickled vegetables, cabbage, and a heaping mound of rice. The beef noodle soup was decent and had a lighter flavor than others I've tried. Service was friendly (A big step up from when it was Lollicup!) and our drinks and food took only a short time to be made. I'll definitely be back to try more of their food and drinks! I'm just saying "Yes" to life, cause' you gotta say "Yes" to life and in this cafe that is well named, "Yes Cafe"! Inexpensive, combination of unique and classic milk teas, slushes and the like with typical Taiwanese and Chinese meals and snacks. I stopped in for a quick drink after dinner and got the Jasmine Green Tea with Boba and Egg Pudding. The milk tea was recommended by a lovely women, perhaps the owner, who made sure it wasn't too sweet. The drinks are pretty cheap, as they should be and only about $5 for a large sized drink with two toppings. The boba was a bit overdone, though still a little chewy and sweet, the egg pudding is more on the jelly side and not as creamy but tasted good. The Jasmine Green Tea was surprisingly good, fresh tasting, tea flavor as one would expect and best of all not too sweet. Probably one of the best boba drinks I've had in Arizona in a while. I would say Yes Cafe and TeaStreet are the best and compare very similarly to that of milk teas in California, where bubble tea shops run rampant. Great little mom and pop type boba shop. Tons of seating and games to play with friends, played a good game of Battleship although a bit sticky! They play popular Top 40s music that isn't too loud. Also props for closing at 11 p.m. on a Friday unlike the other boba shops that close early. Saw that they have snacks and have been fiending for Popcorn chicken and it looks like this place definitely has them. I'll have to be back to try them out!
