Old Town finally has a top notch breakfast/lunch cafe. In the former Cafe California location that came and went all in the past year, several items are retained with new ones coming soon. Food was TASTY. Had the breakfast burrito and the French toast between my boyfriend and I. Lots of flavor. Had the Lavender Latte and the Green Tea/Matcha Latte also. Would add honey if you are looking for something a bit more sweet but the taste was overall great. Service was good. They asked a couple times if all was well or we needed anything. Staff was friendly but not overbearing. I gave 4 stars because the outdoor furniture could be improved, the tables were nice but the chairs we not matching in quality/comfortability and the line to order gets a bit hectic inside, so grabbing things like utensils was harder to do. The line also crowds a bit for those eating inside. Overall good experience though. Will be back if around and looking for a delicious breakfast/brunch. :) read more

I walked by and saw this place so it was a spur of the moment visit. The horchata iced latte was decent and the blueberry scone was amazing. However, I had the steak sandwich and it was very disappointing. Basically bread, meat and arugula. Quite dry and not very appealing. I probably wouldn't eat here again but I would go back for the scones and coffee if I'm in the area again. read more

Although a good toasty bread is great, the sandwich was dry and could have benefitted from additional chipotle sauce, citrus dressing or the waiter actually checking on you to see if you need anything else. Wait time: Reasonable, it's a small shop. Seating: Limited, indoors and outdoors. The patio could use move shade. Service: Could use some improvement. The inside and outside were super cute, luckily plenty of shade with the umbrellas. That's where the good really stops, I tried the chicken and waffles and my boyfriend tried the steak sandwich. He didn't get to try it, found a hair on it which they would have remade lucidly but we didn't even bother because of my meal. I got the chicken and waffles, awful! The waffles were so soggy and lacked flavor, they tasted as if they weren't fully done. The chicken was just oily, and tasted like it was microwaved, no flavor and the 'breading' literally just fell off. I wouldn't bother if you want actually good food, just avoid. read more

This sweet new restaurant in La Quinta delivered above and beyond in service and food! We had the egg frittata (sub fruit for potatoes) & Benedict. The eggs were fresh and amazing, presented beautifully and the bonus of a delightful golden milk latte was a highlight. The ambiance is great and we enjoyed the patio with heaters with our dog. I had the Breakfast Sandwich on the toasted Brioche Bun it was FANTASTIC! I believe people with their eyes first. The presentation was that of a 5-star hotel. The Sandwich arrived nice and hot. The eggs were cooked perfect and not overly done (a lot of places over cook eggs), Nice toasted brioche bun with beautifully fresh micro greens on-top the bun, finished with a drizzle of their homemade herb infused olive oil around the sandwich to give it a pop of color against the background of a nice white plate. Some serious plating skills. The staff are friendly and attentive. Lastly I thought this was a nice touch. They have all the team members names on the wall near the check out area. Her food is fresh and so delicious with a variety of dishes from sweet to savory. She puts a gourmet twist on your favorite comfort food. The avocado toast with balsamic drizzle and huckleberry scones are to die for! Friendly staff and wonderful customer service!
