This place is on Point. The chicken yeero was to die for and the beat pork souvlaki I ever had.

I have been waiting for this place to open up for a while. I waited for all of the hoopla to die down before I tried this place. As a first generation Greek American I have to say that I was impressed. The staff is very friendly and courteous and Greek speaking which as a Greek it is a slight turn off when you go to Greek place and they don't speak Greek just a little pet peeve of mine I ordered the Gyro and it was very, very good. Good enough that when I am in the mood for some quick Greek food it will save me a 25 minute drive to Queens. Also one thing to those who have commented about the fries being in the sandwich, that is how it is done in the old country. Greek style "souvlatzithiko" and basically a new place in Plainview as of 01-2017. Designed to grab and go, or delivery etc like most places in Greece for Greek Sandwiches.. Food is real good and made fresh. My family and I are Greek sandwich type people, so we have not ordered from the entire menu yet, but we order weekly. We are Greek and we like our Greek food!! I highly recommend the Beet Salad and Chicken Souvlaki. If you are looking for a sit-down place, this is not it. If you are looking for authentic Greek for take home or grab and go, I recommend it. read more

Nastiest customer service ever. Received 2 wrong orders and I called to try and get the correct orders . I was told " I already have more food than what I paid for" so they won't send correct order. When I asked for the managers name the girl told me she's not here right now so her name doesn't matter. I asked for my chicken gyro to be well done and received not well done chicken and she refused to take this order back and send corrected order. There was one piece of burnt skin rest of the chicken was rubbery and not well done like requested. We also ordered chicken kabob platter and she tried charging me for the chicken, meanwhile that what was suppose to be originally ordered. After spending almost $50 , especially during a time where restaurants are trying to get back on their feet you would think the customer service would be a little nicer . Our new go to take out place. Portions are huge never disappointed! Staff is super friendly! Love the Rice Pudding for dessert. Hope they continue to thrive in a virtually abandoned shopping center. By the way love the decor. Still great but the portions seem to have shrunk over time. read more

After hearing a lot of buzz about this place, I finally found my way to Plainview and stopped by Yiasou Yeeros to check it out. Upon walking in; the atmosphere made me feel like I was back in Greece. Wait was a nightmare but food was good. Very frustrating waiting over 30 minutes for 2 Gyro's and hummus, got order wrong which is why took so long and didn't comp anything after their mistake. Frustrating enough to never go back. read more

Definately different from any other greek spot I have tried and I I've tried quite a few. I love Greek food. I got a sliced chicken gyro, spinach pie and lemon potatoes....the spinach pie was one of the best i've ever had. I would def order from here again. read more

Went here last week and the food was delicious. I had the lamb and chicken gyro and it was probably the best gyro I have had on the island. Tzatziki was on point and the falafels were really tasty. Will definitely be going back to try more dishes. read more

Yiasou Yeeros, simply put, awesome! We tried the "Little Village", described as enough for "four"- what we picked up was a sizeable serving tray full of assorted of Greek grilled favorites, on the side, a stack of pita, a plate of potatoes and a heaping portion of some of the best "takeout" tsatsiki that I've ever tasted! My family tried your establishment for the first time after friends highly recommend the food. I really tried to enjoy the chicken souvlaki, however when the fries are cold and greasy, it does not leave the best feeling for enjoyment. My kids also had the same cold greasy fries in their kids meal. My wife's spanakopita had a hint of charbroiled taste not sure why? However, although I tried to enjoy the food, I don't think I will be back. read more

First time we ordered from them everything was very good. We were glad to have a good Greek place that delivered. Second time we ordered the potatoes were so salty we couldn't eat them. We called and they told us that maybe the potatoes were salted twice by accident. We gave them a third try and it was really terrible. The meat was so dry we had to throw it all out and the potatoes were again so salty that we couldn't eat them. I guess they couldn't keep up the quality. read more

Finally, a Greek place that's Greek!!! The Yeero was finger licking good...contains the fries like the traditional one found in a Greece eatery... Worst customer service ever, first and only time visiting this place. Walked in two people were up front and no one said hello or how may I help you. Didn't pay much attention to that but after knowing what I wanted the lady cashing kept walking by without even making eye contact or looking up I had to stop her and ask her if they were taking orders then she just nodded her head. After getting my Gyro I noticed how burnt and tough the meat was, she just placed all the outside portion of the meat into my gyro and served it to me. She had an attitude the whole time and so unwelcoming. I ended up taking the food back and getting a refund, it was my first time going there as the place was recommended by friends who live in the area but I'm never going back and they won't be either. read more

My family and I order take out from here. It was not what we expected. We ordered chicken gyros. That's it. For almost 40$ I expect more than just 4 gyros. No sides nothing. The portion sizes were so tiny! And the chicken was dry. I was so disappointed. I rather go elsewhere. read more

I am so in love with this place. I finally found the perfect authentic greek food that I've been looking for. (Being greek) its hard to find a place that can really match my standards but yiasou yeeros definitely lived up if not exceeded those standards. Looks like they shave off the meat and put it in a warmer. Ordered a sandwich for me and a platter for my daughter which comes with a salad. The salad was pre made and the meat was dry. This is a one and done place for me. There are many better places than this, will not be coming back. read more

The place is customer friendly and is considerate to those including myself, who prefer curbside pick up. They also seem good about mask wearing for COVID- I felt very comfortable ordering from here. In addition, the food tastes very fresh and the lunch special is amazing- it's like $9 and change for a gyro and TWO sides. Will be coming here again, I felt comfortable and safe ordering from here and I love their food. Ordered two Greek salads with chicken gyro and a well done portion of fries. The salad portions were large served in round plastic bowls The fries were soggy. The chicken was diced not sliced. Never have seen it served this way before and the chicken got lost in the salad. It's Greek To Me in Syosset is FAR superior and worth the drive. The coupons are now useless because we won't try then again. Over priced. read more

As noted the meat is not cut to order. The meat is shaved off and kept under a heat lamp that diminishes the quality and all experience of ordering a gyro. It appears that a lot has been invested in this new stop but without changing preparation procedures this place will not make it.: The pitas are kept steamed which I guess helps the meat after being precut resuscitate it back to life. The pita should be charred on the gas grill to enhance the dish. The present procedure are alike if a fast food chain decided to offer gyros. Aka McDonalds what a shame could be a great place. It was noted that the restaurant disputes the precut method and that I never have seen before. The effort of providing a good product prepared improperly ruins it which is being done here. I think with some tweaking this place can make it. This is like taking a fine steak and precutting it. read more

We had a very bad experience tonight at Yiasou Yeeros in Morton Village Shopping Center. My daughter, who has Celiac Disease, ordered a gluten free chicken meal with a gentleman who seemed to understand the issues regarding the importance of gluten free food and separate food prep, etc. When the food was put out on the tray, the woman, who seemed to be in charge, was very verbal about what food was gluten and what was gluten free and yet they put gluten pitas on what was supposed to be the gluten free tray! When we were informed that "those" pitas were not gluten free, my daughter had already eaten one! Needless to say, we addressed this issue with her and she was completely indifferent about what was to happen to my daughter! We explained to her how sick my daughter was about to get and that it would last most of the night she was in no way interested! She offered nothing in the way of compassion or caring or remorse in any way. She didn't even offer to credit her meal. I have read many stories recently, here and on other venues, of the lack of knowledge and caring in situations similar to this. Please be aware of this and the many other people and places that come across as knowledgeable but really are not! read more

Nothing special. Was excited about the new Greek restaurant to open- I love Greek food. I had a gyro- plain and simple. Very small, taste was ok. French fries on it was a bit strange. Better gyros at Mixed Grill. As the owner comments, they have been open for a short time and are working out the kinks. I will try again in a while. read more
