Very close to being the worst buffet staff ever. Walked in and the hostess didn't even say hi, I said 2 please, and she gestured us to follow. Then asked what we wanted to drink. And after I relied, I didn't know if she heard me so I repeated myself, and she said "okay, I got it" and walked away. For our drink refills, the waitress asked what we were drinking, I answered for my guest and I and my guest said she didn't want anymore to drink. And the waitress replied to me, "she said she doesn't want anymore." I was so appalled. The waitress asked us the question, so I answered and then I get a snarky answer back. Sushi was not good at all. I saw a salmon sushi plate with one piece left and when I kept going back to check, they never made another one. We were at the buffet for 45 mins.......a new plate was never made. Then as we were leaving the hostess and another lady were sitting in the waiting room area on their phones all slouched over like they were making themselves at home being super comfortable. Customer service is a 0/10. I know this isn't a 5 star restaurant, but at least have the least bit of manners and friendliness towards your guests. read more

Price is pretty high! My bill for me and my 10 year old was $42.14! $16.99 for each of us plus $3 for drinks each. I was shocked. Food was ok but I won't be back. I can get much better for that price. read more

If I could give this restaurant a zero I would. Service is horrible. One of the worst service my family and I have ever experienced. The cooks were rude, and have no issues threatening the customers in front of the other customers and the owner/manager can care less. I'm glad I'm not the only reviewer to mention the staff. As far as the food goes it's either over seasoned or under seasoned. I took one bite of the fish and it was extremely salty and their chicken dishes had absolutely no taste. As far as the food, I would rate it a bit higher than your average Chinese buffet fare. They have roast pork on the buffet yo! The seasoning is mild but the skin is extra crispy. Fried chicken wings, BBQ pork ribs, lo mein, crab rangoon, and soups were all good. They served menudo on Sunday when I went for dinner hehe and quite a few other non-Asian dishes. I figured it give it a try; I'm always looking for a new Asian place. It's really nothing more than an average buffet where there seems to be an above average number of people who seem to be there because it's "All you can eat". The sushi was mostly rolls and average at best. The hot buffet was nothing more than average, and showed little creativity. May I ask why would they put cheddar cheese on salmon? There are a lot of reviews about service quality about this place. I don't think they have "bad" service. They just don't have professional service. I can't blame them, they're dealing with high volume to move food and boil them instead of steaming and a lot of the flavor washed away from the boiling. They also offer your traditional Asian buffet food: stir fry rice, lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, etc etc which I didn't try. They also offered a pretty good variety of cooked fish dished which was impressive. Desserts were okay as well. I mean, overall they had a great variety to choose from, but overall the flavors were just sort of bland. Really nothing I tried screamed flavor. Disappointing except for the bill. That I enjoyed. :) In the end, it might be I'm coming across as a sushi snob. Maybe I am. But after this round of trying an inexpensive sushi place (buffet or otherwise) I realized I just need to suck it up, pay the extra money for a better reputable sushi restaurant and stop trying to penny-pinch. My son and I are first time visitors to Yichiban Buffet located in Euless at the southwest corner of Airport Freeway & Industrial Blvd. This restaurant has six islands full of varieties of that food welcomes your entry. Its sushi bar, teppan, and hibachi grill are flanked along the back wall. This is a clean & efficiently ran buffet-restaurant whose friendly staff are accommodating starting with the top man, Ricky. My son and I were very satisfied with our selections. I especially enjoyed their version of baby octopus civiche, spiced with jalapeño slices. We will remember our pleasant experience and return the next time we are back in this area. Come by and get your fill, too! read more

I had one piece of good Hong Kong roast pork. And the skin was super crispy:-) so good. The sushi is mediocre and probably one of the better items because it was constantly being made:-) Another pro for this place was the price. My dinner came to $11, I was expecting higher. I really enjoyed the food and the place was extremely clean. They have a good setup that helps keep people safe even though it's a buffet. Yichiban is an absolute gem! The food is fresh, the staff is the friendliest, and the prices are affordable. They have a vast array of different Asian buffet style food, including a Mongolian grill, and a fresh sushi bar. I come here 2-3 times a week during my lunch hour with coworkers, friends, and family. On occasions, I come here during the weekends too. It is that good! I often brag about how nice and friendly the staff is here. When my coworkers, friends, and family come with me they understand what I mean by that. Family owned and operated so you get that type of down south service we all love the more you come here. This place should be shut down! Would give 0 stars if possible. I've only been to this place twice and this is the impression it has given me.. would not go there a third time.. The staff is rude, immature, and unprofessional. If you're overweight, they will tell you and then encourage you to stop eating. Some will do this jokingly. Others will tell you with a straight face. This has happened to more than one person I know and has happened to them on more than one occasion. One male employee in particular is not only especially rude, but he is not afraid to curse you out if you go up to him and ask him questions like if they are going to serve more of a certain buffet item. He has on one occasion thrown food at a customer.. which resulted in a fight outbreak. And when approaching the other staff and owner of the low quality customer service, they all look the other way and ignore you, letting him do whatever he wants. He should not be working for people. There also seems to be more than one viral video of the staff cursing customers out, one including the sushi chef threatening a customer WITH A KNIFE. If you can eat here with no self respect, go ahead, but if you have any dignity, I suggest taking your money and supporting a more deserving buffet/restaurant who cares about the satisfaction of their customer. read more
