I really like this place and their coffee is one of my favorites in the area. The shop is very cute also, small but cozy. Pastry's are really good also

Great hemp matcha latte and a great view upstairs to work, study, or enjoying talking with friends. I really liked the vibe of this place and great for those who are plant based

Great place to be on a Sunday afternoon. The baristas were relaxed and friendly. This made our experience a great one!. My iced mocha was spot on, and we enjoyed a few savory lentil Samosas. The ground floor space is beautiful with plenty of seating and windows for excellent views of the area. The upstairs loft is large and comfortable. Some really cozy couches, too! Thank you, Alexis, for letting us know about the history of this coffee shop.

    More than decent.

New owners spent care and money on the renovations. While it was fine the way it was, it's much cozier now. You might not notice the difference between Ethiopian and Nicaraguan coffee if you order lattes, flavoring, etc., but plain black I definitely prefer Ethiopian. The price point for a small Flat White is a bit high though. I look forward to trying their Ethiopian spiced tea (they were out) and four-shot "reverse Americano." Their specialty breakfast sandwich was satisfying: I opted for a fried egg instead of boiled. I wish they'd warm the croissant. The crew is from Sandino's, nice gals. A great spot for solo coffee or to meet friends.

12 oz oat milk latte with cardamom, exterior of Yigebe Coffee

I came in off of Sandy Blvd and it was hard to find parking, but I didn't mind walking up one block. I ordered an oat milk latte with cardamom and it was pretty good. The milk was steamed perfectly and not burnt, and the cardamom was very mild. I usually prefer the taste to be a bit stronger. The service was great, and the barista was efficient with the orders. The inside has beautiful photos from Ethiopia and a nice energy. There is a long countertop and stools (with back support) along a window, as well as tables and chairs. This is a great spot to work remotely or read a book. Outside, there are two picnic tables and a bike rack.

This coffee shop is under new ownership. They took over about 5 months ago. We liked the previous coffee shop, but we like the new one even better. The owners are from Ethiopia, the country of coffee. They export the coffee beans directly from their friend over there. It is minimally handle where they roast it in small batches. They have a nice selection of treats. They also have African sambusek which is made by the owner's friend. They have small seating downstairs, but awesome seating area upstairs. We will be back soon.

The ambiance, service and coffee was great. There's tons of seating. And plenty of places to plug in a computer. I love that they're open until 5 on Saturday. So many places close earlier.

I love this place! Cute and clean - very taken care of. Coffee is definitely of the best coffee I've had in the area + they have enough options of bakery and breakfast sandwiches. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops now

Ethiopian coffee, ginger lime tonic, raspberry scones

My husband adores Ethiopian coffee so we were excited to try this place nearby. His coffee ticked all the boxes, meeting and exceeding expectations. I chose a ginger lime tonic, a hot concoction of fizzy water, ginger juice, and lime juice warmed to perfection. The raspberry scones were a nice accompaniment, and we enjoyed the cozy upstairs seating area. Friendly efficient service, delicious offerings, and cozy environs. Their menu doesn't mention decaf but they do have it, so I'll try some next time.

Ethiopian coffee should be experienced by every coffee-lover, as coffee's origins can be traced to Ethiopia. This Ethiopian-owned café had a very clean bathroom and stylish space, plants/arts/coffee roaster integrated. The super friendly baristas shared that the owners frequently roast the beans in house, so their coffee grounds stay fresh for our beverages. That's a communal coffee tradition I experienced firsthand in Ethiopia. While in the Motherland and right in Portland at Yigebe, I drank "Addis Tea" a spiced tea, good if sweetened with honey or sugar. AND at Yigebe, they have some amazing baked goods like an incredible almond paste croissant, which the barista warmed for me to flaky warm pastry perfection! Conversation with barista Jolene was a highlight, and everyone working at Yigebe was sunshine in this winter-rainy city. Salaams and blessings, Yigebe!

Cute little coffee shop! The employees were very friendly! I had the citrus brown sugar espresso in a cappuccino and it was very good! Their cold brew was a little sour. Maybe needs some milk or sugar. My chocolate croissant was tasty.

This is the best coffee Ive ever had! I would suggest this coffee shop to all of my friends and family! If you're a coffee lover, you will enjoy the rich, strong, and flavorful taste in every sip. The baristas were also very helpful and kind.

It is in an interesting two story building with the shape of a wedge. Large windowpanes look to Sandy Boulevard. Up the stairs and down the stairs seatings. This coffeehouse was not fully opened when I came. Their premier is tomorrow, so the menu was incomplete, but I enjoyed my visiting.

I tried something new and went with the Saparilla Spice Latte at the recommendation of the barista. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan. I thought the oak milk flavor overwhelmed anything but the spice. I thought this would be mostly flavor spicy, but it was actually REALLY hot spicy. I couldn't actually finish it between not being thrilled with the flavor and the spiciness. I would come back and try a latte, perhaps with their house made butterscotch and rosemary syrup, but I likely won't go too far out of my comfort zone next time.

This location ended up being pretty darn convenient before a hike so off we went~ My friend and I both got an 8 oz latte and 2 breakfast sandwiches, ham for her, romesco for me. The 8 oz lattes came out in petite little glass cups; honestly a good size if you don't want a giant drink, but also a tad pricey when it comes quantity vs price. The breakfast sandwiches are offered with a side of hot sauce which I highly recommend because adding the little zing and flavor was delightful. Coffee wise, I had the stroop latte and my friend had a vanilla latte with oat milk. Both pretty tasty! The romesco breakfast sandwich was warm, filling, and hit the spot for a savory breakfast; they didn't skimp on the arugula either so I felt like I was adding a leafy green. They also had quiche, bagels, granola, etc. The interior is bright, with a decent amount of seating; larger shared table in the middle. Service was friendly. This location is in a popular spot with other eateries so street parking can get busy! Plan accordingly and check this place out for some delicious coffee, baked goods, and food items.
