YIPAO Coffee is the nicest coffee shop I've ever been into. It's so bright and colorful. There's a tables to sit at so definitely a good place to work or read. I tried their cold brew and matcha latte (both with almond milk) and they were both really good! The cold brew wasn't too acidic and came on this really cute cup. The matcha latte wasn't too sweet and I could taste both the almond milk and the matcha, which was great! If you lived in San Diego you'd come here all the time! read more

Parking is a challenge. Friendly service. Good selection of tea and coffee, limited selection of muffins. I got a black tea mocha with milk and it could use some splenda. The white chocolate muffin was ok, not very sweet, not too messy in terms of crumbs, soft. Not much seating, price ok. read more

I have passed this place many times and finally was able to stop and try. I was unimpressed with my particular drink. I love dirty chai lattes, so their chai ginger latter sounded amazing. So I order that with an added shot and almond milk. It was terrible. It tasted like just a shot with almond milk, has no chai or ginger flavor at all. I'm not into waisting money or food but I could not finish this. I drank about 1/4 then tossed. For now my review is 2 stars for location and service (which was quick), but flavor was not there. read more

Yipao coffee not only has some of the most delicious roasts to choose from, but this is also one of the most genuine teams I've come across in SD! Their passion for their community, craft, and culture is absolutely inspiring. I highly recommend asking your barista for their suggestions. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and so kind. The location is in a rad location, perfect for a nice walk in the city while sipping a warm latte or trying out a new roast. I can't wait to come back for another visit! On my recent trip to San Diego after exhausting every local roasterie in the general vicinity I widened my search and found this gem. This is what coffee is supposed to be! It's right around the corner from Trolley Barn Park and a perfect midway point when walking my dog. This review is because I went to get an americano and cappuccino which were both good. However, I ordered pastries, a chocolate croissant and a cherry muffin and they were so bad! They seemed more than just day old. They were hard, chewy, and tasted bad! I paid around 18 dollars (tip included) for this and it wasn't worth it. read more

I am a fan. Pure and simple...it is the best-tasting coffee in the city. This Columbian coffee shop is just charming. The staff has become friends. It is like coming to a kitchen of someone you've known forever. Jus had this amazing Cheese bread pastry...I'll be there tomorrow for a couple more...really good for quick breakfast choice. YOU MUST, try the "Gordie's Blackeye" it will make your day...you will get lots done, without the jitters that regular coffee can give. Try it on ice with a small bit of milk. This is a nice little spot with nice decor, definitely a great lace to sip in some cold coffee drinks or tea during the summer or cozy up with some warm jackets and a coffee in the winter. Recommend the Iced Salt Caramel Latte either with regular milk or if you're looking for something heartier, try the oat milk. Everytime we've been the folks who work there are friendly and service is quick.
