It tasted better with hot oil (must request this condiment - no charge), which I added it to my steam rice too for a kick. My only issue is the price for a small bowl of rice. You're only given a small bowl with your entree, so an extra order is $3.95 - which is kind of expensive for the size. We went in knowing that the food is Americanized Chinese rather than more authentic ethnic flavor. it was perfectly prepared for American-Chinese- fresh, came to the table hot, and each dish was very flavorful. Yes, you were busy on a Saturday night, telling someone that you are full when they walk in and throwing your arms in the air shows you need a new job. Fantastic service, new owners are really bringing it. Quality of food is amazing. They went above and beyond on halloween and we were just ordering to go. Gave us some soup and water while we waited to warm us up. I thought staff was very friendly. The beef isn't my favorite beef, but the fried rice was very very good, next time I'll try pork, and the orange chicken was delicious. I also got the sub gum. I love Yi's! The first thing I noticed was that the Hot and Sour soup was not the same pre-made soup that most Chinese places serve. It was clearly made in house and was far better than the stuff served elsewhere. The entrees are great. Well seasoned, well cooked and clearly made in house (no pre-made sauces here).
