    fish bing

Chill, tasty, casual place for yummy food. The fish bing was delicious and would get again. Mala fish soup was pretty yummy and i enjoyed the variety of toppings. The broth isn't as rich - mostly just tastes slightly spicy but i enjoyed. The staff and service was very good. extremely friendly

Love this place. We got the beef shaobing and sat at the bench there. I wish to try the duck shaobing when we come back. Service is quick and space is small. Went on a Wednesday morning after Solidcore, so there were only two other parties there.

Food: The noodles are very average here. We tried the Chongqing Noodles and the Zhajiang (meat sauce) Noodles ($10) each. The flavors were good, but there are better noodle places in NYC than this one. The noodle texture wasn't anything special or impressive. It would be nice if the zhajiang noodles came with more meat sauce. Portions are also on the smaller side. Overall, I wasn't impressed. They also offer appetizers and jianbing on the menu. Service: You order your food at the register, and they'll bring it to you at your table. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Ambiance: The place is small with tables and seating for small groups. I wouldn't come here with a large group. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place and likely won't be returning.

A place that serves very simple noodle soups. The price isn't very cheap given how barebones the noodle soup is but nevertheless, it taste good. Service is fast and minimal as to what they do for you. The location is at a quiet place out out of the semi busy Grand street but a nice place to relax and slowly eat your lunch.

What a great spot for jianbing or jian bing, a well-loved Chinese savory crepe. Wider filling selection than other spots, with seven different options. Have had Jian Bing elsewhere and this was by far the best--not too much sauce, light-textured egg, crispy fish and fresh vegetables for a great crunch. Must try for jianbing. Sweet and sour lotus root had a great unique flavor, crisp and tangy. Delicious meal all around. Looking forward to returning. Wonderful man and woman there, treating all with kindness.

So delicious. My friend and I went for a very late breakfast. I had the beef jian bing, she tried the pork belly jian bing. We both absolutely loved it. The portion was very generous and the price was very reasonable. We both left with happy bellies lol. Everyone in there was very friendly. The inside is tiny but very clean. It was seriously delicious. I've never tried jian bing before and I definitely want to again.

Tasty jian bing for $8 each. Perfect wrap of crunchy and savory! My friend got the duck bao and also loved it! She said duck was melt in your mouth. Small restaurant, order first and then sit down.

Fast friendly service, hot noodles. Plenty of seating on a Sunday morning. Delicious, not too salty, not too oily.

Delicious jian bing and duck bao! I loved how crunchy the jian bing was and it had a good balance of being flavorful without being salty. The duck bao was so soft. Small restaurant, but we didn't have any trouble getting a table. The auntie taking our order was so nice. Highly highly recommend checking out!

very nice jianbing here, i visited specifically to try and i wasn't disappointed. prices are modest too, and it was a decent size serving. definitely lived up to my expectations and then some. they have a pretty extensive menu so their other items would be worth a shot too. the place was packed when i was leaving around 2pm so it seems like the hype is real!

Yiwanmen is one of my favorite casual noodle restaurants in all of Manhattan Chinatown. Specializing in Sichuan cuisine, its noodles are consistently delicious, with fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors. The establishment is relatively small with a few tables, but clean and large enough to accommodate my daughter in her large stroller when we visited Yiwanmen on a Saturday around noon. Whether for dining in or delivery, my favorite dishes are the fish noodle soup with mala sauce and their signature Chongqing red oil noodle. The noodles are perfectly chewy, broth savory, and portions generously sized. Although their jian bing was very good, I was disappointed to find that the "sausage" was really just hot dog. While hot dogs are ubiquitous as a street snack in China, I was hoping for something less...processed and more akin to Chinese sausage. Even so, Yiwanmen is a staple for us in the noodle genre in Chinatown, especially given the quality and affordability.

Some of the best hand pulled noodles I have ever tried! I ordered the Chong Qing Red Oil Noodles and it was the perfect flavor! The service was nice and quick! Everyone was super nice. I will definitely be back!

I'm a regular. Jianbing, Bao and cold noodles are all excellent. Very quick service as well.

If something needs to be vegetarian, will the staff accomodate?

Yes , very much so. They serve plain noodles with vegetables too. Nice owners, just ask :)

I'm fairly certain you don't need to tip, but you can to be nice :)

Service is very fast and they kept the water flowing (spicy dishes really are spicy!), and the portions are huge. Though you have to pay extra for white rice ($3 a bowl), the overall value was reasonable for the main dishes. The restaurant is dark and elegant inside, with a large tv over the bar that was showing sports when we were there. It had a nice ambience.

The grilled pork spare ribs was good, but it was too little meat for the price. The scallion pancake was bland. The Peking duck was ok. The pork xiao long bao was bad. The skin broke easily with the included forceps and with chopsticks. It was hard even transferring it to my plate. The mapo tofu was bland. The la zi ji (spicy crispy chicken) was too spicy to eat. I have good spice tolerance, and I always eat la zi ji, but it was just too spicy. This was the only meat dish that was barely touched at the end of the dinner. The best dish was the cumin lamb. It was seasoned well and the lamb was tender. I wish they gave us more lamb though. The meat pieces were small. I've had much better Chinese food in dallas. I would not recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone.
