    Chicken Teriyaki Bowl
    Jackie C.

Yogi is soooo good to me every single time!! They never fail! I always get a large chicken teriyaki bowl. It's only for a dollar more, I like that the restaurant hasn't hiked up their prices unlike some other restaurants have. The service is always great. I was called and placed my order beforehand so when I get there it's pretty much ready. They also have really great sushi.

Some meat and a shit-ton of rice.

In general it is pretty good. But today I ordered the chicken and beef bowl. It might be good and actually have flavor if there were any veggies. The menu had an option to upgrade the rice for veggies, but I didn't know they would totally stiff me on veggies if I didn't upgrade. -- No Veggies! none! -- Maybe that's your style, but it's not mine. Yogi's cheaped out on the veggies.

Delivery! Pot stickers, veggie yakisoba, Las Vegas roll & egg rolls.

I was pretty impressed for delivery on this order. I've visited the establishment in person at other locations in the past. I think they're a major step up for some Americanized oriental in comparison to Panda or others. Their pot stickers would probably be better if they offered steamed & not just fried. The fried is a bit too crispy for my liking. And it would be nice if they added a bit more sauce than only 1/4 of the container. I truly wish I could order just the yakisoba without meat or vegetable fillers. They do give a plentiful portion, I'm just not a fan of the soggy veggies I have to pick out. However, the flavor is great & the scoop of rice on the side is nice! The "egg rolls" are actually vegetable spring rolls. And they're good- I actually like the smaller size, plus they include a decent mini sweet & sour cup for each! But again, I wish they offered non-fried spring rolls. There are a decent amount of selections for sushi. My favorite is the Las Vegas roll. For delivery, it was still solid, fresh & came with all the fixins. Totally appreciated the chopsticks, napkins, fork, ginger & soy sauce included in the delivery. Everything was packaged well, arrived hot & one of the better deliveries I've had.

Beef teriyaki was pretty good, it's like some type of thin beef with teriyaki sauce and green onions on top. The miso soup was okay.

Decided to give this place a try since it always looks good. Nothing against the place or the workers as the set up inside was very unique. I think the flavor of the food just was not good. I decided to get the chicken and beef bowl. I added vegetable and subbed brown rice. It looked amazing and my mouth was watering, but after two bites I wasn't into the taste at all. The flavor gets old and it seems like you are just eating the same bite over and over. I guess it just wasn't for me. If I were to recommend anything to a new timer, the spicy tuna bowl is worth a shot. Get a side of the eel sauce and an extra side of the spicy mayo.

The orange taranje is terrible. It was over burned black, the oil for the fryer needs to be changed, friendly reminder order at least an hour before closing or you'll be having leftover batter and oil for dinner. The rice was the only good part.

Caterpillar roll and firecracker roll/check out the size of that roll...

An update from 7 months ago--…read more I've been to this Mensho location a few times now, it's actually very close to my house, I could walk there. Maybe when it's not summer I will :) I had previously mentioned I've been to Mensho Ramen in Japan twice and this location seems to be very close to quality and flavors. I've tried different appetizers on each visit here and I always get the Garlic Knock Out ramen bowl because I love garlic, but next time I need to branch out and try the duck matcha bowl, a friend of mine swears by it. It sounds like an odd flavor combo, but I hear it just works. Coming here is pricey, so this isn't my everyday ramen shop, but once in a while I enjoy it. Other reviewers mention not liking the noodle texture, the soup broth thickness, or overall flavors. Some have even questioned its Japanese authenticity. That's most funny to me, given it's very close to the ramen I had at Mensho in actual Japan. So I don't think it's Mensho who is unfamiliar with Japanese cuisine... I don't love all the apps I've had, for instance I would skip the Takoyaki or corn ribs, or $8 edamame. Next time I'd like to try the Aji fry, many people have said that's good. So, it's likely coming down to personal preference. Service has been solid so far. Servers are friendly and food comes out fairly quickly. Anyhoo, I'd still recommend this spot, and bring friends or family. We recently brought a friend who is vegan and she was happy to see vegan based broths and items on the menu. I think the price point makes it hard for some people to enjoy this place, as it costs about double compared to other bowls of ramen in the valley. But I appreciate that they make their noodles in house and the dining space is very authentic to a ramen shop in Japan (small and nice wood decor). It does remind me of being in Tokyo, which I miss dearly. Mensho here is more expensive than Tokyo. Food in the US costs way more in general. I think most folks would be surprised to learn that. But it's true, Japan has the most amazing food scene and they execute everything perfectly yet it's cheaper in many instances. I was blown away by how affordable food was in Japan. IMO that says more about the state of affairs in the US, and less about this specific restaurant. Some reviews have noted poor quality and management, I haven't noticed that yet, and I hope it doesn't happen. So far, I've liked it enough to keep going back every now and again :)

I can understand why this place is ALWAYS packed. Was it the service? Was it the quality of food?…read moreWas it just the ambiance? ITS D. ALL OF THE ABOVE! I ordered the Duck Matcha. I know I personally was a little hesitant because when I think matcha I think of my go to Starbucks order (venti iced matcha latte with strawberry cold foam sub for oat milk) but when I tasted this I removed my opinion completely because THIS WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANY SOUP IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. it just flavors dancing on my tongue. I couldn't stop myself from eating I had to finish it because every bite I left behind I knew I would regret not savoring it even longer. So so so good. My brother got the Signature Tori. The broth was perfection. It had the perfect amount of spicy kick. And the presentation was I'm telling you all the ramen at this establishment is god tier. Mwah what an amazing meal. 20/10 will consume again!

Reviews are very good and so we gave it a try on a Saturday evening. When we arrived there were 2 people eating at the sushi counter, otherwise it was empty. During our time there another couple came in, so it was not busy and easy to get a table. The server was very friendly and service was great. For that I'll push my rating to 4 stars. For me, this place is personally 3.5/5. Everything was decent but nothing I would rave about. And that might just be me, because people love this place in other reviews. It was possibly just a bunch of little things that made me think it's just okay. I thought the texture of sushi rice was a bit too soft, I know it's sticky rice but I felt like it was a little over cooked and too soft. I also thought both of my rolls tasted exactly the same. Which thankfully I thought were good tasting. The stuffed jalapeños were definitely a miss, they were so under fried so mostly a mush of ingredients in a jalapeño. And initially I liked the karaage but had a couple of tough pieces, so overall that was just okay. Miso soup was solid. And I realize that the appetizers are cooked in the back and not by sushi chef, and people rave about the chef. However like I said, both rolls seemed pretty similar tasting and one was supposed to be more spicy. All very standard flavors, like I would expect from AYCE sushi. I think I'm just looking for more delicate flavors with higher quality pieces of fish. I likely should have tried some of the special items listed on the rotating items board near the sushi bar. Next time we go back I'll try sitting at the sushi bar and trying some speciality items. People have said this is the best way to enjoy this place. We will likely come back during a lunch or happy hour special, if I like it better and I can upgrade my review I'd be happy to give this small, local family run business all the stars.

I'm happy to report that yes, yes it is real :) Be sure to check their hours before you go, it's a late lunch/ dinner spot and google shows the restaurant is closed on Monday & Tuesdays. But possibly still does delivery those days? I'd call to be sure. This local hibachi/ teppenyaki grill restaurant is fairly new, maybe opened about 8 months ago, and is run by a husband/ wife team with some supporting staff is doing a great job and I wish them continued success! It was tasty! It was about 6:30pm when we arrived and we must have caught the dinner rush because it filled up fast in there. We waited patiently to place our order, which gave me plenty of time to stare up at the menu boards and listen to the music playing on one of the screens. At first glance you might think, whoa this is pricey, and per entree, it "kind of" is, but you're going to get a lot of food. And quality food too! So, I think for what you will get, there's taste and value to be had. We decided for our first time to keep it simple with the proteins -- chicken and shrimp, then if we like it, we can upgrade to the more pricey steak options next time. We opted for take out and were quoted about 15 minutes to wait, and that is about what it ended up being. Pretty good timing, given it was busy in there. We didn't order any drinks, I saw plenty of soda cans and bottled drink options. One thing I also did notice, there was no restroom, so if you like to wash your hands before eating or just have to go, didn't see anywhere to do that. Which I always think is odd for any place that serves food. Once back at home we opened the containers and everything looked good, which is nice. Sometimes it's not appetizing looking with take out since presentation is less a factor. We plated up our BossBachi haul and found that splitting a burrito, noodles, and egg rolls between 2 of us filled us up, and we even had leftovers. I weighed the burrito cause it felt hefty, it was almost 1.5 lbs. and not just all rice! Had a good amount of chicken and veggies. I saw it on the menu, so I requested they prepare the yakisoba noodles as "boss way" with extra toppings and that was a good move. I liked the shrimp and noodles, very tasty! And finally those little egg rolls were nice and crispy. I hope they maintain their quality standards and keep giving great service with plenty of food per servings, for the price points. Glad we checked them out, we will definitely be back for some grilled steak. BossBachi lives up to its name, its boss!

The steak was great and the wok hay taste was really there. The bowl as a whole, however, was a bit too salty for my taste. Husband didn't think so. Maybe next time I'll order it less salty/without sauce.

My oh Maisen Katsu!…read more It's been a while since I ate at the H-Mart market eatery food hall, and not for lack of trying. I've been to H-Mart a couple times recently and wanted to eat there but it was closed, I went too late. Today I went for lunch-- And I'm glad I did, it was SO delicious. The food hall was busy on Thursday around noon, however still plenty of open seating available for me. Sometimes on the weekend you might be waiting for people to finish before finding a spot. Today was easy, peasy. My food was quick, took around 10 minutes. The orders were flying out of the katsu kitchen!! They call it out and you can see on a small monitor when your number is ready. I walked around the food stalls before deciding I wanted katsu. I'm very happy with my choice. The person in front of me was picking up their order and it looked really good. So I copied them-- #8 cheese katsu!! The woman taking orders was very friendly and helpful. I told her I would eat there but wouldn't finish it due to big portions so I tried to order it to go, she advised I get it regular and then box up the leftovers. She was so right! The presentation alone is fun like fajitas and she said it's all packaged separately when ordered for take out. Great tip from her. She could have just let me do that but she understood what I had told her. I chose the pork katsu, you can get chicken also. The #8 dish is served with katsu sauce/gravy, and mozzarella cheese sizzling on a skillet. On the side is rice and cabbage, and a clear broth. It was absolute heaven. This is a very decadent dish with all the cheese and sauce. And it changes the texture of the katsu, I could tell it was crispy but it also was covered in cheesy goodness so less crispy than the other katsu options. On the bottom of the skillet is the most crunchy cheese bits that you can scrape off to get that fried cheese goodness. And the portion was big, 2 pieces of meat! Enough that I had half of it to take home. This is definitely enough to share. Next time I'll try the katsu & udon combo or the katsu sando so that I get more of the crispy katsu texture. The cheese version is more smothered and covered, but very yummy though! On the menu they also have noodle dishes with soba, ramen, and udon. I can't speak on those since I didn't try them. There are lots of other noodle options in the food hall though, so I would definitely recommend getting the katsu, and if you also want noodles, the combo option. I'll definitely come back to this food stall when craving some katsu.

We also tried the fried pork dumplings, which were pretty standard potstickers, but they were done well. The sweet and sour dipping sauce had just a tiny bit of spice that made it a little more interesting. The pork soup bao were another good choice, with plenty of filling and really good flavor. I ordered the Wagyu sizzling plate, and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. It comes out on an extremely hot plate, which gives some of the rice a nice crispy texture. First, Sizzling House sits around a plethora of amazing food options in the Mesa Asian District. It is a small eatery and very casual. We started with the dumplings and karage. These were where the rating dropped. I didn't find anything memorable about either... My friend ordered the tokontsu ramen with think noodles. I had a taste, and while I'd order it if wanting ramen, this was what I expect of good ramen. It hit the right notes on taste and the noodle s were cooked well, just nothing that would make me perk up if someone wanted to get ramen. The highlight, which would have made this a debate between 4 and 5 stars, and which I will go back for (already excited!), was the sizzling Angus beef plate with thick udon noodles. This was one of the better dishes I have had of late, and I am glad I got extra beef and opted for the black pepper sauce. The thinly sliced beef with the thick udon noodles was a perfect pairing, and I ate this much faster than I meant to, not leaving any leftovers despite the add ons. Food came out quick. Staff was friendly.

I always love introducing my friends to kuka because of how good it is, and I have to tell them that after trying kuka no sushi restaurant will ever compare again lol sometimes the service is a little slow, so it's good to remember and get all your requests first thing in, or in the past I honestly have just gone up to the server myself and asked for whatever I needed. it's not super deterring for me though due to the amazing food that they have. I can't really speak for the quality of their non-sushi items however, as I do believe focusing on their sushi is the best way to eat here!

The space feels stylish and contemporary, with a sleek atmosphere that makes it perfect for both a casual dinner and a special night out. The menu is truly avant-garde! Creative, innovative, and full of intriguing options. That said, I have to admit I felt a little overwhelmed at first and wasn't sure what to order because everything sounded so interesting. In the end, I chose the Omakase Dinner "Buzz," and I absolutely loved the concept. It includes miso soup, 9 pieces of nigiri, a mini poke, and a 5-piece roll -- such a fantastic idea if you're undecided and want to try a bit of everything! I think it's a splendid option, especially for first-timers or anyone who wants a complete tasting experience without having to choose individual items. If I could change one small thing, it would be the roll selection. I wish there were an option to choose from the specialty rolls instead of only the basic ones. That extra flexibility would make the experience even better. Overall, the quality of the food was very good, and the overall experience was enjoyable. It's definitely a place worth visiting, and I'll certainly be back to try the curry and ramen next time!
