Great food but customer service is horrible. Placed a phone order 1 hour prior due to a short lunch. They said it would be ready by 1 pm. We got there at 1:05 and the order was jot ready in-fact nowhere to be found. The kid rang us up and we paid. I told him we ordered ahead and he did not apologize but said it doesn't take but a "few seconds". We waited and finally got our food at 1:15. I am just so disappointed at the lack of customer service and accountability. Another worker accused us of calling the wrong store and lying about who we talked to. I do like the food but wont be returning and will tell all of my co workers. Chipotle and Pizza Studio you have more business. UPDATE: I do have a record and a screenshot of the call. Accountability is the first step towards customer service not denying the issue. Apology would have also been nice. Wow! read more

Consistently TERRIBLE service. I'm not sure why I decided to give them another try. Orders are never ready when ordered online and never correct and then the staff act like it's the customer's fault. This is the third time in a row this has happened. I will never go back. read more

Yogi's Grill is a well put together and calm environment to sit in and enjoy great tasting sushi. Not only is it affordable, but you can taste the high quality fish that they offer. It's really difficult to find a quality sushi restaurant that doesn't charge you obnoxious prices. And for many that are beginning to enjoy sushi and other Japanese cuisines, their menu has various dishes that tends to everyone's tastes. They provide traditional and different takes on sushi dishes, many different rice bowls, and even noodles. From what you can see, Yogis can be extremely inclusive to many different tastes. Even their varieties of sushi rolls can expand many people to different flavors. I think Yogis is a great representation of Japanese meals and they execute it perfectly! read more

Last month we celebrated my friends birthday at Yogis, and we weren't disappointed at all by the amazing service. I always ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bowl and I completely recommend it! I usually stray away from any chicken that has too much sauce on it, but the one at Yogis is never overdone and tastes amazing. Our server was really polite and attentive. They have great prices and great serving portions. Every time I've visited one of there many locations I have received fresh food. Yogis Grill is my absolute favorite! I tried it for the first time and I must say I am IN LOVE. To start, when I first walked in I was greeted by smiles and warm welcomes. That's very important to me! I was recommend the chicken and beef bowl. I recommend getting extra sauce but everything was beyond perfection. I couldn't decide if I wanted rice or noodles so I got both! I also ordered the spicy California roll for myself. I'm a very big fan of sushi and I can honestly say I can be very picky when it comes to that but YOGIS GRILL is legit. I ordered the spicy California roll and the spicy tuna rolls because I was craving some sushi. This place literally satisfied my cravings! The spiciness of the sauce hit the spot just right and the tuna felt like it almost melted in my mouth is was so good. As well as ordered a side of edamame which were cooked to perfection. The service was great as well they were so sweet and definitely helped me pick which rolls to order. Sushi is not worth getting at all. The bowls aren't bad, but nothing special. They do have all sorts of sauces and spices you can poor over your bowl, which is nice. The outdoor patio area is nice for relaxing during lunch. read more

I asked cashier what sushi rolls had no meat and one of the options was the avocado roll, which I ordered. Once I got the roll, I saw crab meat in the roll. I took it to the owner and asked if I can get it switched out for a veggie roll. In another review, he assumed I asked for a refund, I simply wanted to switch it out but he said that it takes a lot of "time" to make and also that it takes "a lot of food" to make. We got the avocado roll in five minutes so it didn't seem like a lot of time. The owner then wanted an explanation of why it should be switched out without me purchasing another one. He wanted to have me pay for the roll or have the staff member who cashed me out pay for the roll, which I did not want. He asked for my opinion and later in the conversation, said I do not want your opinion. It just bothered me that he would not switch out a $7 roll to please his customers. He mentioned, someone made a mistake, and someone has to pay for it - I thought this was a sad outlook on the situation. His pride got the best of him in this situation. He did not only lose me as a customer but many more as I share my story. I hope the owner takes the following quote into consideration: "It takes a lifetime to build a good reputation, but you can lose it in a minute." -Will Rogers I will be reaching out to Yogis Grill Franchise Management Inc. I would not want him to treat other customers like this. The owner makes all the other 18 locations look bad. I like to include, this was my FIRST time eating at a Yogi's and he said that I am not allowed back. What just happened, I would not want to go back to a Manager who does not put customers first, hence the poor 3 star ratings don't lie. Base off of our argument, he will reply to this review still trying to put the blame on me when the fact is as a business owner, the customers are always right. Yogi Grill is a restaurant I would recommend to everyone! They have a lot of options and all are great. One of my favorite things about this restaurant are the veggie options. My personal favorite is the veggie bowl. Add a fresh cucumber roll on the side and it's a 10/10 meal and experience! Will definitely be heading back the next time I want a delicious meal! read more

I come to this location at least once every couple weeks as I work in the building and have a terrible habit of leaving my house without a lunch. I usually get the beef teriyaki lunch special, which is reasonably priced and decently tasty. They can get super busy at times and that can usually mean a longer wait time. I can say, however, that they are certainly much faster now than when they first started. This place is good if you are looking for a quick cheap lunch downtown. Yogis Grill is one of a kind! With its 22 locations it is available to you in any possible point of Arizona. They have a wide selection of 9 different Teriyaki bowls, 5 different Stir-Fried plates, and even 19 different Sushi rolls! While they have options that are well known they also have true Japanese dishes such as Tempura and they even use Udon noodles! They have many different vegetarian options and they still have stuff for the kids, their menu and all of their restaurants have something for every one while holding true to the Japanese culture. While staying true to the culture the food is always an amazing experience with dine in or take out. read more

Twice now I've order through Eat24 and both times my order has been altered. My receipts have different, less expensive items on them, yet I'm charged the amount indicated through Yelp. I don't know where the wires are getting crossed, but it's ticking me off. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki Plate for $13.59; I received the regular beef bowl salad at $8.78. The calamari was there, though. The last time this happened, I chalked it up to a fat thumb error on my part. Nope. As convenient as Yogis is for lunch, I can't keep returning when stuff like this happens. read more

I love Yogi's Grill in general, and the food at this location is no different. However the service at this location is absolute garbage. They seem to get the orders wrong 30% of the time. I've also witnessed the cashier take the order incorrectly and when the customer pointed this out the manager asked the customer, "Look, we're really busy, can you just take it?" Who does that?! If you're in Downtown Phoenix go somewhere else, or order delivery from another location. read more

Worst experience at a restaurant in my life. I came here to pick up a group order for my company. We always have a team lunch on Fridays from 12-1pm. We pre-ordered from Yelp Eat24 and the pickup time was 11:30 am. I got there almost exactly at 11:30 and asked if it was ready. The employees were all very confused and no one had any idea where it was. After asking to see my confirmation email, the employee helping me walked away and never came back again. (I thought she was going to check the computer or something.) Um, okay. Still standing here. When I finally got someone else's attention (they're all running around like chickens with their heads cut off) I had the confirmation email ready. It indeed had the right date, location, and pick-up time. They INSISTED that they didn't have a ticket for it and there was nothing they could do. What?? We had already paid for this order, so... I'm just supposed to walk away? I got the first employees attention again to see if she could help me figure it out because my parking meter was going to expire in 2 minutes. She again insisted that there was no ticket, but she acted like she'd go check again and left. At this point, it's now 11:48 am and I had to run outside to put more money in the meter. At this point, I'm trying to get ahold of Yelp. A representative starts calling the place--I heard the phone ring THREE times, but no one would answer it. They still didn't until I got someone's attention saying, "Excuse me! That's Yelp calling for the third time so my order can be made." After talking with the representative, I assumed it had been sorted out. She went back to the computer, messed around, then got back to working. Now it's 12:17. Still nothing. A different team member comes up to me to see why I hadn't been helped. I explained the situation to her and asked if we could write it down and have the cooks prepare it. They could figure it out later with Yelp. YES, finally. The order is FINALLY made and handed to me at 12:45 pm. That is an hour and 15 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. For the love of God, STAY AWAY from this chaotic, disorganized, shitshow of a restaurant. read more

This was the worst chicken teriyaki I have ever had. The green onions they put on top smelled like they were rotten. I picked them off and took a bite. To my surprise I bit into a small bone. It stunned my tooth. I took a closer look at my bowl a decided to remove the burt portions of chicken. Which pretty much left me with rice. My wife reminded me that our good friend had a bad experience a Yogis as well and suggested we cut our losses and leave. Which we did. Never to go back. I came in today with a group of coworkers who frequent this spot often ...they always rave about the food and while I have nothing badd to say about the food itself because the food was delicious I can't deny it ..I was extremely appalled by what I saw with the establishment and the way That "what seemed like manager ' was treating the other employees. the location was busy as it was lunch time. Therefore a wait was expected I have no problems waiting when I see an establishment busy .. but this place seems to not be trained to handle high volume. I worked in the restaurant industry for 10 plus years and it just seems like there was no structure or communication, As clients who came 20 minutes after me received their food before me and others.. but honestly what really got me was the way this supervisor or manager talked to this employee in general it literally made me cringe, he was yelling at him In front of the customers and totally talking down to him, the young man was clearly trying his best and was nothing but sincere and apologetic to the customers even though he was being publicity humiliated while this "manager" Didn't a good knowledge the customers one time just kept yelling at this employee and telling him to talk to us..My heart felt for him and Honestly as much as I enjoyed the food it would be really hard for me to ever come back just due to the fact that I refuse to support at establishment that treats their employees this way Nobody deserves to be treated like that read more

This is the first time I had ever visited this place. It may be my last. Food was excellent albeit expensive (I could've got food just as good for much less),but the most troubling issue was the verbally abusive manager who lacked the grace and professionalism to correct his staff at a more opportune time and not in front of the customers!! He went as far as to insult a customer who gave up and walked out. Another customer in front of me simply decided to not deal with the manager at all. I don't blame her. I made a Yelp account JUST to post about how terrible this Yogi's location is. For the past 4 years I have frequented several Yogi's locations throughout Arizona and California, and this one is BY FAR the worst. Every time I try to give them another chance, they fail horrendously. Not only is the quality of the food terrible (wrong ingredients, fried rolls soggy and/or under-breaded), but the presentation is just as bad. Today I ordered a Las Vegas roll and it was unrecognizable. It didn't even taste like other Vegas Rolls I've eaten at other locations. Again I've frequented multiple Yogis and each location other than this one has had the same presentation. This one was soggy and under-breaded, and they didn't even cut the rolls all the way across... it was just big uneven chunks that were all connected to each other! They must've been struggling because the whole roll was smashed and sloppy. I also ordered the crunch roll which was halfway decent in quality, but what really put me over the edge was the fact that they included the inedible shrimp tail INSIDE of the roll. If it wasn't for their messy presentation I would have never noticed this and could have consumed it. Do yourself a favor and refrain from ordering sushi rolls from this location. I will now be traveling 30 minutes out of my way to enjoy rolls from a proper Yogis location. read more
