Lots of seating outside some seating inside. Again, service was spot on and these guys never stopped moving the whole time we were here, they were constantly cleaning, stocking and helping customers. Stumbled across this small shop while we were in the shopping center and we were so excited to try a new yogurt spot. It was very a disappointing experience. We were treated incredibly rudely by the young person behind the counter. Between the rolling of the eyes and cleaning after us as if we were an inconvenience we felt uncomfortable. I gave 2 stars instead of one as my child liked the taste of the yogurt. Super unfortunate that we were treated in this way or they would have won over a customer. We will not be back and would not recommend if you are looking to support a smaller shop if that is the type of treatment received. read more

This is my go to spot. The yogurt is great and their toppings plentiful. This might be my favorite plain tart in SD. Yet every rose has its thorn and while the yogurt is delicious, the environment never ceases to be unwelcoming. I think the criteria to work here is to be apathetic, unfriendly, and under the age of 18. In order to check out, you'll need to interrupt the employee's internal conversations about the gym. You'll still tip the kids a dollar when the screen pops up even though the blonde behind the counter is mad dogging you while she waits for her coworker to return to their convo. I love yogurt on the rocks especially the honey yogurt, original tart, cappuccino, and sometimes they have cheesecake. They always have new flavors from time to time too. Flavors are Always consistent! How could you ever go wrong with a yogurt. However, it's run by young kids! One time I came by late afternoon, they are almost closing and I saw these group of young teenagers flirting with each other. One of the girls was sitting on one of the tables smooching with some dude. They all stopped as soon as I walked in but that put me in an uncomfortable spot but I did not said anything. I just grabbed my order, pay and left! They are all very flirtatious with each other. I was confused who's the employee but they seem to know each other. It was fine coz I was young once and they were all beautiful young kids but it still make me feel uncomfortable. I thought to myself maybe one of the girls was the owner's daughter and since it was closing she has her friends over and I happened to see something I shouldn't. So I just shrugged it off but then again when I came back again the following weeks later, I witnessed a pretty similar scene again although it was not as vulgar. I don't usually mind but it's really inappropriate to act like that especially when you're working. As a customer, I felt very uncomfortable and awkward. It doesn't feel like a business anymore but a playground and as a consumer we come there to buy and eat a sweet dessert, so I can't help it sometimes not to question if the quality of food they are serving are still up to standards. I've happily bought soft serve here for years, but one bad experience can change a lot. I came in tonight just before closing, having barely caught the bus in time to get back to my neighborhood, lugging an unpleasantly cumbersome travel bag, hoping to grab a quart to enjoy getting back home. No other customers were there, and I'd already had enough bad customer experiences for the day. Since it was so late, I just wanted to check what flavors were on and that they still had enough to fill the container. Instead, the cashier demanded I pay first, asked me what flavor I wanted instead of letting me step a few meters to see the signs, arresting they hadn't had the flavor I hoped to get for "a while", and gaslighting me when I assured her I bought it last week (aside: I have a photo taken in May of the visit where I had said flavor). I don't get what the reason was for being rude and making me feel like I was a criminal planning to steal anything, given how many times I've been here. My card history says I've spent $63.75 at this store this month. I think that number will be $0 for the rest of the year. read more

Delicious yogurt! I got the Pomegranate Sorbet and I absolutely loved it! I added some strawberries, blueberries and strawberry boba on top to bring it all together. I was really surprised by the price too. Unfortunately, you can't get samples. I'm not going to pay for something like this when I don't know if I'll even like the flavor. I just put a little in my bowl and licked it to try. The staff was also very rude to me and my friend. Snappy responses, rolling their eyes at us and they made us feel like they were rushing us to leave. Pretty disappointing considering how good the yogurt was. I would give them a better rating if the staff was nicer. I would still come back, but the staff should really work on their manners. read more

Pretty good yogurt, toppings don't always look too fresh (for the fruit at least) and had some flies and bugs on them. Staff was pretty disengaged as well, and we waited a long time to check out as no one was there to check us out. Price isn't steep though, and they're open late which is nice. Yogurt On the Rocks opened in Pacific Beach in 2009. I guess I've eaten their consistently delicious frozen yogurt at least 200 times in the past 15 years. This place Rocks, excellent flavors, outstanding toppings, first-rate service, and an easy-going ambiance. I usually get a large size with at least five different flavors of yogurt, topped with granola, cashews, and shredded coconut. I eat it as a meal replacement at lunch time. Yogurt On the Rocks always employs cool young folks who are helpful, polite, and tidy. Amanda was working the last time I visited, and she is engaging, friendly, and she asked me what my "go to" flavors were. They have a couple old school video games there. BEWARE - Some customers swipe the yogurt nozzles with their fingers. The Health Department told the owners to obtain small tasting cups and display signage instructing customers to use them instead of swiping the nozzles. The owner is non-compliant, which speaks volumes about the lack of concern for customer health. Demand the tasting cups and BOYCOTT THIS BUSINESS until they're available. read more

Been a customer here for 10+ years and this is the second time I've had a bad experience. The first time I asked for a cone with my yogurt (they're on display) and they said they don't do cones??? This happened last June and haven't been back until today. Today, I asked for a sample cup, the guy I asked said "no samples" in the RUDEST tone. I was shocked not only by how rude he was but also because they've always offered sample cups (except during covid). I asked, "since when?" His response: "we don't do samples here." Actually, last June they did offer samples, so what changed? For a place that changes its flavors often, and is about customer service, offering at least 1 sample is reasonable. Sorry but I'm not going to soil my whole cup with a flavor I'm not sure I'm going to like. The rude staff and new "rules"make this place not enjoyable and so not worth it! This is my go-to spot of the local frozen yogurt shops. It shares the same building with Breugger's Bagels in PB. YOTR used to advertise with coupons all the time. Nowadays, I get occasional deals from them through the Fivestars rewards program. They have a nice patio area with picnic tables, sofas, lounge chairs, and heat lamps to enjoy your yogurt outside even after sunset. There were usually 14 different flavors to choose from, of which about half were rotated every two weeks or so. This may have changed under the COVID-19 restrictions. Between that and how some customers were abusing the sample cups, the practice has been discontinued. The price used to be as low as $0.39 per ounce. The cost has increased at least 50% higher since those heydays. I love the gelato choices with my favorite being the lemon velvet variety. It had a strong lemon flavor without being too tart. The mango sorbet and horchata gelato were my other top picks. If I was in the mood for straight yogurt, then the honey greek was the winner by far. It's very creamy and left a sweet aftertaste coating on the tongue. I usually doused some rainbow sprinkles on top, but there were probably close to 50 different toppings from which to pick. read more

The place was very clean and the staff were friendly. They had a variety of toppings and flavors of froyo. The dole pineapple sorbet was my fave it was so good. It was slow, so we chatted for a bit about sports. I spent 20 years in customer service as a server, and I'm a teacher currently. I know how hard it can be to work in this industry. Your staff has always been super great, but Noah really stuck out. His friendliness was genuine, and sometimes its just that little bit of extra smile after a long day that can change your mood. Came here with my son to enjoy some froyo on a Saturday afternoon around 430 pm. First, they changed their style with the samples. Now a staff member literally has to walk around with you for you to try samples. I guess it's a step up from not being able to sample it at all. The froyo place lacks great flavor. Everything seems to be extra sweet -- especially the fruit flavors. I asked them for a cup of water because my son and i walked from crown point. 5 minutes before I asked i saw a customer asked for a cup and they were given a cup of water. When i asked, they told me they only have bottle that i can buy. Woww. If this isn't some sort of discrimination i don't know what is?
