Had to change bags this morning and I forgot to grab masks for me and the girls. I had to do some filming so I grabbed my backpack and packed minimal things. Well my youngest daughter behaved so well all day with me that I promised her froyo. We went to Yogurtland Bakersfield (10930 Stockdale Highway) and they wouldn't give us a cup without masks. Cool. I get it. I asked if they had any for us. She said no and so we left. As we walked out she chimed for us to have a nice day and I said "I won't now.." and then she laughed audibly loud enough for me to hear her as I walked out. That's just rude. A lack of basic human kindness. Anyway went to tutti frutti on stockdale and the owner gave me a fat stack of masks, hand sanitizer and asked me about my day. Don't go to yogurt land. Go to tutti frutti stockdale in the town and country shopping center instead. read more

My only favorite dessert and yogurt place in Bakersfield. I always visit here whenever I'm craving yogurt. The employees are always friendly and its clean. However, there're actually plenty of cups that has dust in it. You got to check it out before you get yourself yogurt. I also hope employees take more care of the outside tables and chairs. I love my yogurtland! I began going to yogurtland locations when I lived in Utah and on my visits to San Diego. I loved it there, so when we got one in Bakersfield I had to check it out. It is my go to spot for yogurt. The toppings here are better than tutti frutti in my opinion. I love how many yogurt flavor options they have and the clean designs and fun color scheme of the place. My personal favorite thing is they always have cheesecake yogurt, cheesecake bites, and marshmallow creme in stock. The employees are always super kind and friendly! I have even shown up 5 minutes to close to take some to go yogurt and they were still just as awesome! It is definitely in a prime location, right next to my favorite target and other shops. Parking is easy. It is a little out of the way for me, but I think the drive is worth it! read more

Dropped in tonight since we saw it across from Panera. At 6:45pm, the place was clean and not real crowded. The gal at the counter was friendly right away, and offered us sample cups immediately; nice touch. My wife took several, and tried several flavors. I stuck with my favorite cookies & cream, topped with white chocolate chips and more cookies. It was very good. Some yogurts have a very sour aftertaste, and I am pleased to say that this did not. My wife had a mix of strawberry, french vanilla and two different chocolates, topped with M&Ms, chocolate bits, chocolate chips, bananas, strawberries and Ghiradelli fudge sauce. Once we had full cups, the smiling girl took our payment and gave us lids to go. I really liked her smile, like she really enjoys her job. We'll be back. read more

This location is in a very nice part of town. the mall is very spacious, open, clean, and new lookin'. One word of warning: it was really crowded. but really, if thats the price you gotta pay for some delicious yogurt around here, then you gotta do what you gotta do. :P My friend and I escaped the crowds and sat on a nearby bench (next to the hair place...:P) and enjoyed our yogurts in peace. Love the original tart, and strawberry tart sometimes, this time I got half original and half raspberry tart. I always get my toppings half nuts/oats and half fruit for the most part,sometimes I sprinkle one or two morsels of something different like a cookie boba or chocolate candy. They have so many toppings you will always find several things that you like. You aren't limited to the amount of toppings you choose,because you pay by the weight of your cup/bowl. Place is good, not awesome. I hate coming here when it's really busy because the people of this town act like they have never been to a yogurt place before. They over-sample, stuff their cups full of crap, and make a mess out of the toppings station. The worst part is the out of control kids sticking their hands all over everything. Just because Yorgurtland has 12 flavors and 40 toppings, it doesn't mean you need to have it all in your ginormous cup! I'd enjoy this place more if it weren't for the patrons. read more

Seriously, I didn't know what the big HYPE was on frozen yogurt until I had some here. WOW, I'm totally in love with this place. I've eaten at other F.Y. establishments, but I never crave going back immediately as much as I have this place. For a long time I could have frozen yogurt with the kids due to at least two non-dairy options. However, for the past few months this location has only had one non-dairy flavor which includes fruit I'm also allergic to. Today there were 8 different chocolate options for the kids and little else. BorinThey plan to discontinue the non-dairy flavor I can have. I'll be looking for a different frozen yogurt establishment. Will not go back! Went in to purchase gift cards, waited in line, was told each transaction had to be separate then the clerk took a phone call then she said she had to wait on customers in line with yogurt first. Honestly, the customer service was horrible for a place that requires only 10 seconds of interaction between customers and the workers. The cashier (receipt says Danielle) was dead silent when my friends and I got up to the register to pay and didn't say hello or even ask if we were taking the yogurt to-go or if we were staying. When I told her my yogurt was to-go, she still didn't say a word and just handed us the spoons so I had to ask her myself for the lids. Then when my receipt printed, she crumbled it and threw it away without even asking if I'd like the copy (which I did). So after I had to ask her for a receipt, there was still no "sorry" when she handed it to me. There was no "have a nice day" and basically no words exchanged at all from her. I'd expect the basic training of atleast saying greetings to paying customers and offering lids when we specifically said we're taking our yogurts to go. read more

Yes, we're fans! and so are our friends! :) We had a puppy play date with some friends at the Park at Riverwalk...and then swung by Yogurtland to get some frozen yogurt. What a great idea because there was plenty of outdoor seating available, and our dogs could hang out & rest up too. Self serve yogurt, plenty of options: we got matcha green tea, blueberry, vanilla, strawberry, and plain tart. :) YUM! I topped it with blueberries, mochi, and gummy bears... The yogurt is good. The experience is NOT. We go every month or so since all the way back when they gave gift cards for report cards at Reagan Elementary. Long time. No more. As time has gone by employees must be chosen by their indifference and owner must be happy just raising prices and I'm thinking paying as little as possible for labor. Even sample cups feel like your asking for car keys and wallet. Yesterday was the last for us. The bill for three was $25.40. All I had was a fifty a five and two ones. The bill was half a fifty! The trained employee said she couldn't accept it, I reminded her that it was half a fifty, she went to ask the guy who over several visits has proven he had a kindness-ectomy years ago. He came to say we don't accept bills over twenty. He then pointed to the business card sized stickers on the plexiglass that said that. Wow spared no expense. So the $20 bill is the most frequently counterfeit denomination in the world. Not the fifty but zero tolerance which always means zero intelligence is trained into employees. They probably eat the bad note if they accept it. So we left. Didn't think to offer the $7.05 I had for $25.?? Went to the 76 and changed the bill. I've been there exactly once since they opened and to this Yogurtland more than fifty times and dealt with personality king several times. Either he hates his job or his life. Not sure. But the ownership had previously required exact change way after that was done with and by not having a bill check or even the pen to check the paper does exactly zero to help customers pay her bills. I didn't have my wallet but did have my phone and decided against using my apple wallet. On principle. Who knows if they have Apple Pay. Maybe they have business card sized signs about that too. I'll never know. I only bothered to go back because my daughter had already seen her treat. So we went back and loaded up again. I made sure to have mine smaller just so stupidity at least pays a negative return. The environment is poor even without our experience and frequently I've wanted to skip this location. This just reinforced that feeling for me. Btw I always tip even though the staff do very little directly for the customer. They still have to do the tasks to keep the place running. Mr. Personality truly deserved nothing in the past but got a few shekels. Dude just gives off a bad vibe. Not sure why a place is like this but fish always rots from the head. Ordered an Ninja ice cream machine last night. May not taste the same at first but it'll be fun learning and I'm sure we'll figure out some great fun and recipes. read more

This Yogurtland is just like any other Yogurtland. You get your yogurt and toppings yourself. The only complaint I have is the the staff lets children run around with the sample cups getting about 20 samples making a mess with no consideration for actual customers. They should limit sample cups. I had 2 sample cups and it was enough after I was able to get around all the unattended kids. The girl at the register didn't answer our questions. We usually come to this location, but today's visit was odd. So my daughter accidentally touched the m&m's and without even being told that she did that bc I didn't catch her- the employee just grabbed the m&m container and threw it out and slammed it against the table making it noticeable that something was wrong. She kept staring at my daughter and my boyfriend had asked if the m&m's are bad and with an attitude she just said what my daughter did. Not only that, but why does she have to literally watch my daughter grab some water? As if she was going to do something else as well. Sometimes people need to check themselves and be equal and the fact that I felt like we were being treated differently bc we were Mexicans and Filipino. Other people who came in who weren't out ethnicity were being treated better. All I gotta say is- if you dont like your job, you have a choice, you dont have to be here. Obviously she looked unhappy wasn't even greeted nor said anything to is until we asked if the candy was bad and replied with an attitude. Please choose your employees wisely. And btw please dont make it obvious that you are telling another employee what happened by them making it obvious by looking at us that my daughter did something. I had read a lot of reviews talking about the tart flavors and for me I didn't think that it would make that much of a difference, but I knew I wanted to try it. Well today I found out that the original tart flavor is really delicious in a very refreshing way. The fruit toppings really compliment the tart as well. I was very pleased with their topping choices. My absolute favorite topping that they had was little bits of mochi cake! If you have never had mochi cake, it is not like conventional cake, it is a Japanese rice cake which is very doughy in texture. I have always had it wrapped around ice cream so I thought it made a lot of sense to have it as a topping option for the frozen yogurt. Sixteen Flavors of frozen yogurt would be overwhelming if it were not for the sample cups. The lady behind the counter greeted us as we entered and asked if we would like to have some sample cups without us having to ask for them. I used my 3 cups to sample 8 of the flavors and they were all good:) On the day we were there they had Original Tart, Tart Blueberry, Dragonfruit, strawberry, cheesecake, vanilla, vanilla bean, dutch chocolate, mango, coffee, chocolate milkshake, peanut butter, red velvet batter, pistachio, and some kind of chocolate caramel. (yeah, I know I didn't list all 16 - can't remember them all) I chose a little of each of the fruit flavors and the cheesecake and the tart. The texture of the yogurt was good - not grainy or soupy and the flavors were great. I chose fresh raspberries, strawberries and kiwi. The fruit toppings were fresh and plentiful, and most of the candy toppings you can think of were there. And, let's be honest, it is really hard to resist the Hello Kitty cups and spoons! You are charged strictly on weight - 33 cents per ounce. There is seating inside and out, and there were people enjoying their yogurt outside even in this heat. read more

Ok. I'm updating my review. The enormous lines have subsided, and my fear of teenager cooties is now lessened. They have added some fun and quirky add-on's like popping boba, and little bits of mochi. The strawberry-banana taffy frozen yogurt is amazing. I can't help but squish every last bit into my cup, all whilst tapping the cup repeatedly to give as much room as possible. The location is super ideal. I love getting our frozen yogurt, and taking a stroll around the lake. It's peaceful and kind of romantic. Much better than staring at a parking lot. They've added some seasonal Hello Kitty elements, which is pretty darn awesome. It doesn't do much for my guy friends. The best fro-yo in town - hands down. This tiny location near the Target off Stockdale is my favorite spot for late-night dessert guilt. It's open late on weekends and stays busy up until closing time. Their flavors rotate out every so often and tend to be varied. I'm super basic and almost always get the tart flavor or whatever tart-fruit hybrid special flavor they have. I'm not adventurous enough to get the cheesecake or chocolate, regrettably. Yogurtland's toppings are definitely a draw for me because aside from my bland tastes in frozen yogurt, I only get fruit toppings - which are always fresh, crisp, and sometimes seasonal. They also offer tiny popping fruit-flavored boba. Plus, I just really like how clean they keep the store. If Yogurtland can satisfy someone with boring fro-yo preferences, it's gonna be straight up fire for those who are more intrepid with their flavor and toppings choices. read more

I think my expectations were really high but I was a tiny bit disappointed - in taste alone though. This may be because I'm still figuring out what I like at the place. I thought it was a great atmosphere and the lady behind the counter was super helpful. I loved the availability of sample cups and tried all except the tart yogurts as I'm generally not a fan. I loved how calorie count etc was labeled and the cleanliness of the place seemed pretty good. I just have a hard time with buffet style toppings though but that's a personal preference. I just hate seeing others yogurt on the serving spoons and maybe it's a little pedantic of me. Otherwise there was a great selection of toppings. I enjoyed the brownie but was disappointed with the white choc drops, which usually I adore white choc drops in general. I have one other yogurt place I go to and I have two flavors that make me want to eat til I can't eat no more so in comparison I don't feel like that here. Pleasantly surprised by this place. I had the pistachio, peanut butter and tart yogurt. The peanut butter and pistachio were delicious. The tart was good but to me isn't as good as Pinkberry's. When we went the place was packed and it was 2 in the afternoon. My only beef with the place is with the line you have to form to self serve your yogurt. With all the little kiddies wanting to get a little bit of everything it holds up the line tremendously. My girlfriend and I also thought it was ridiculous the girl behind the counter was asking everyone what color spoon they wanted. This obviously held up the line even longer. I've never been a fan of yogurt, always preferring real ice cream, but fell in love with this place. Having 10 choices of flavored yogurt. I chose to get Dutch Chocolate with Peanut Butter. The flavor of the Peanut Butter caught me off guard, and with chocolate was quite reminiscent of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup (I took a bite while moving down the assembly line). Quite impressed with my giant frozen yogurt peanut butter cup I moved on to the next station. They have a huge topping's bar with almost anything you crave! I added some white chocolate chips, a mini m and m's ensemble, mixed with some peanut butter cups themselves smothering the top. This location in Bako is smaller compared to the one in Alhmabra and have less choices but they are pretty darn good. It is semi busy. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I guess this will be more busy during the spring and summer season. pretty cool little place. My favorite is the mango Mixer. I Go there once a week while in business trip to Bako. Today at Yogurtland was the worst experience I've had ever. First of all half of the yogurt machines were supposedly either not working or they ran out of yogurt. Secondly there were no shades out in the tables so unable to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and lastly most of toppings were empty also. Yum! So far I've had Red Velvet, Coconut and Dragon Passion Tart - all VERY good. Actual Dragon Fruit alone (a topping), however, is not so great ;) They have tons of flavors, it's kind of hard to decide. I love that they have all kinds of toppings: fresh fruit, candy, cereal, sprinkles, syrup. For the variety of toppings and flavors alone, I'd much rather go here than the 2 other fro-yo places that are closer to my house. Price is by weight. The negative is that this place is SO small and super crowded. Barely enough room for people to stand in line - I'm not sure what they were thinking. It needs to be 3 times as big. They're constantly rotating in new flavors amongst the normal standard flavors. The staff is always friendly and offering sample cups. The bathroom is kept clean. They have SOOOO many yogurt flavored bases: peanut butter, dutch chocolate, yo frappe, tart, mango, cookies and cream, coconut, and more! As far as toppings go, they have fruits, chocolate, chocolate candy bars, mochi, nuts, and more. My only gripe is there isn't enough seating for patrons. A few tables outside and a few tables inside.
