I've been to many Yogurtland franchise locations and in fact, sought this one out since I was working in Sacramento. As soon as I walked in I almost gagged. There is a sour smell and then I noticed buckets of souring yogurt below several of the yogurt spigots. The cold toppings looked fresh and clean but the dry toppings were sparse, sticky, and I inviting. I always eat the plain tart flavor and this time it just didn't taste right. Now I have indigestion. I hope this location cleans up its act, but I won't be going out of my way to go there again to find out. read more

Service sucks here. We have never been greeted when walking in. Their cheesecake bites taste like play dough here. We have been here so many times and I've always given my phone number for our rewards account which always worked and I've even redeemed rewards, but during our last visit, apparently I don't have an account anymore. Best Frozen yogurt!!! The pineapple flavor tastes just like Dole Whip. The tart with fruit and mochi is my favorite Summer treat:)! They have special spoons that make the yogurt taste better. I simply love this place! The flavors are always delicious and I appreciate that they have gluten and dairy free options. On this visit I tried the white chocolate peppermint, the coffee flavored one (can't remember the exact name), the strawberry lemonade, and the rocket pop flavor (this one was really good). Ok. I really like Pinkberry. However, it's a little tough on the pockets. Not to mention I hate the fact that they never really fill the cup. Never have I ever experienced such terrible customer service until I came to this Yogurtland. I am required to have a service dog due to medical reasons and I politely asked the employee (I believe her name was Diana) if it was permissible to have my service dog in the store. Instead of a simple "Sorry, no" she responded with a nasty glare and no in a disgusted tone. After having to leave my service dog outside the store with a friend, I picked out my yogurt and was ready to pay. While waiting patiently at the register, the same employee turned to her coworker and proceeded to have a conversation. I was completely ignored and lack of customer service ruined my experience with this Yogurtland. She finally rang my order up unapologetically and was very eager to continue her conversation with her coworker without saying a single word. Other customers within the store noticed the employee's behavior and was just as shocked to see what had happened. Diana was not helpful, not friendly, and was appeared unhappy to be here. I'm very upset that my first time visiting did not go so well. A friend invited us because there was advertisement of a free amount of yogurt. I knew we would pay regardless, but I expect to be charged the full amount, as she was swiping my card I said "wait, does that include our 3 oz. free" she proceeded to act confused until I said, "you're advertising it on the internet" she then told me, well your supposed to ask, gave me my receipt and disappeared in the back. I was beyond fuming. My friend said it happened to her once but they offered her a refund of the amount, No managers on the 4th of July to rectify this total lack of customer service. I will never go back. Since my bad experience I have been contacted by a manager, I appreciate the promt and courteous response alone, as it shows that a bad experience does not reflect the values of the company. read more

If you know me, you know how obsessed I am with Yogurtland. This location is by far my favorite in the Sacramento area because they have taro flavor!! The plain tart is excellent as well. Very unprofessional. I have no idea how this shop stays in business. I called this location in the early afternoon to order catering for a large party and spoke to a girl with an extremely bad attitude who did not want to help me at all. She could not answer any of my basic questions about delivery, prices, or what they provided. She was laughing with someone else in the background for most of the conversation and not paying attention. I decided to call another business to cater the party and would suggest others do the same. Took my cousin here after her graduation dinner across the way at Chili's (she heads to college tomorrow in So. Cal). Typical, not different from all of the other yogurt shops. So, why four stars? The minute we walked in, Jordan (cashier) offered us sample cups, and was very polite during the whole stay. That was cool....he didn't seem like the typical "I'm just here for my minimum wage" that I have seen at other establishments. Taste: Again, I thought my yogurt was decent, but the ability to add honey to french vanilla was really tasty. My cousin got the "Tart," with no toppings. When I asked her why (expecting her to go nuts with the toppings, because, after all, she suggested this place specifically),she said the tart flavor is good on its own. I LOVE yogurtland! The yogurt here is really good quality and its self-serve for 35 cents per ounce. I'm glad they opened this location, now I don't have to drive to the Arden area for some. They have a lot of delicious flavors to choose from, which they rotate and have different flavors each time I come in. My favorites are almond chocolate, strawberry tart and plain tart. They also have plenty of toppings to choose from: cereal, candy, fresh fruits and chocolate. I wish they had more mochi flavors than the one original mochi topping. The new hire last summer, Sierra, was so friendly, efficient, and sharp-as-a-tack! Whether we had coupons, questions...she didn't miss a beat. When she is there, we know that the cups will be stacked high, the tray under the spigots will be clean, and the toppings area will be filled up and clean. Smart of Yogurtland to bring her back this summer! On another note, we asked to have the manager bring back the #1 voted flavor: Salted Caramel Pecan. MMMM!! We have tried several fro yo establishments over the years and when Yogurtland came to town, we thought "Ughhh, not another one!" Well, we were pleasantly surprised and continue to be amazed at the quality of ingredients and the realistic flavors and premium mouthfeel of the yogurts. I mean, seriously...rocket pop flavor MMMM. Pudding pop? Hell yeah! They offer a card which has earned us many free ounces of this deliciousness. The moment you walk in, they greet you with an ample amount of sample cups. This is a great yogurt shop as far as the flavors go, the flavors were so good and some very unique ones that I haven't seen in any other yogurt shop before. However, the bathrooms were so dirty and there were no paper towels, the yogurt machines were messy and sticky on the outside, and there wasn't that many toppings compared to most others i've been too. The employee behind the register kept going to the back every second he got, and he just stayed back there when there was clearly a lot of things to be cleaned up front and in the bathrooms, so really they only had good flavors, but everything else made it not that great. read more

I lived in Southern California for a while and one of the highlights of my time spent there is at Yogurtland. One time I was going to Trader Joes with my mom after living in Antelope for a few years and saw this Yogurtland and almost screamed. Yeah I know, it's just froyo but it was happy memories and this place did not disappoint. It was just as great, friendly, and wonderful (and less crowded) than I remembered. My favorite choice when it comes to the Froyo movement. Yogurtland has the best plain tart yogurt there is. Seriously. i know it sounds bland and boring but it really is my favorite. I have had mixed experiences at this location. Staff is friendly enough, but every time I go there are a few machines that are down, or they have run out of certain toppings. This is understandable, but when it happens over and over again it gets a little old. I will first start this review by saying we used to be HUGE fans of Yogurtland. Unfortunately this past year it's been a hit and miss with some of the machines being out of service or being out majority of popular flavors or the staff not being very pleasant. Unfortunately such was the case today with all the above today. Out of the 16 flavors, 6 were out, and some of the machines the yogurt was runny. I am so dang happy that Yogurtland headed north for the winter! I recently moved back to Sac from the Bay, where we would hit up Yogurtland a couple times a month. My kids and I were super stoked when we were driving down FO and saw the first Sacramento location, only 10 mins from our house! Now the Sunrise location is open, about 10 mins the opposite direction, so no matter which way we're heading, there's a Yogurtland nearby. I like this place best of all the fro-yo places, no real reason why it's better than anyone except Pinkberry (who makes your fro-yo for you in pre-set sizes- ick). Love that you can get as much or as little as you want, top it your way, and mix up all the flavors. Also, they are really good about the sample cups, and you get to pick a cute spoon most of the time. And why has no one mentioned the fruit water?!?!?! That's one of my favorite parts. Not only is water complimentary and easy to get to (and not a fountain like BR), it's got strawberries and lemons in it, giving it a great taste. Tons of flavors, and you can twist 2 together if they're on the same machine. Tons of toppings, and now they have syrups and whipped cream, too. Could it get any better? Oh yeah, rewards program as well, where you get free fro-yo all the dang time. Yogurtland, you're the best! What Can I Get For 4 Bucks?: Honestly, A LOT! I get mango for-yo and coconut fro-yo, add mochi, mango chunks, bananas, a couple cherries, maybe some strawberries, then top it with whipped cream. If I'm feeling really fancy I'll throw in some praline pecans. I end up with plenty of fro-yo creation for about $3, and since it's fat free and topped with fruit, it's not even a diet-buster! My hubs and I are Yogurtland addicts. Every time we travel we find a Yogurtland for a nice cool treat. This Citrus Heights location one is our favorite so far. I'm giving this place 3 out of 5 stars for two big, fat, American reasons: first things first I'm the realest. That being said, I expect prompt, friendly customer service when I walk into an establishment where I intend to spend money! Much of the staff has greeted me less than enthusiastically each time I've gone in, or didn't greet me at all because they were God only knows where doing God only knows what. I need A+ customer service in my life. The second issue I have with this place has actually only happened once (most recent visit) and that was the overpowering smell of cleaner. When my super hot boyfriend and I entered, my nostrils immediately started burning and I looked around for my Mexican grandmother, who until that day was the only person I ever knew to use so much Fabuloso in one room. By the time we filled our cups and paid, I was beginning to get a headache so we decided to sit outside. It was very nice-quite, clean, beautiful day-UNTIL THE EMPLOYEE CAME OUT AND STARTED MOPPING THE SIDEWALK WITH THE FABULOSO-ESQUE PRODUCT. If this is a recurring theme for Yogurtland, I'm afraid I will be forced to get my fro-yo fix elsewhere. I would like to suggest using either a less scented cleaning product, or refraining from mopping the entire store and front walkway during business hours. As for the product: the yogurt is great and there is a wide variety of toppings, although the fresh fruit is not always very tasty. You really cannot beat their price. read more
