Another visit, another disappointment. Again, flavors were limited and the original tart was unavailable. Must be a common occurrence because the times we've been here, the signs "Brr Right Back!" and hand written signs are displayed throughout the store about stock issues. Not sure what's happening at this location. Also, when we were ready to pay, the girl that was stocking the toppings just had us wait until she finished what she was doing before she rang us up. When sitting in to enjoy our dessert, the same girl had others wait looking with confusion and baffled as to why they weren't being rung up either. Going to Menchie's on Ventura from now on. Further drive, but they're always consistent and stocked of flavors. At least we know what to expect. read more

I took my kids over to the Sherman Oaks Yogurtland over this past weekend. The lady working the register told me she was out of pennies and I told her don't worry about it. I had to demand my receipt only to find out I was owed over 80 cents. She attempted to short change me by making me think I was only owed back a penny. She said "we're out of pennies I'll have to get it from the back and you'll need to wait". Only to find out it's not just one or two pennies. read more

My kids love coming here but for years it has change a lot. Before this specific spot has available sample cups and some waters for guess. Today they didn't have NO sample cups NOT even a water available. I am not sure if just today or just this specific location, but it would be nice to have some water to be offer to guess. read more

I had a hankering for some yogurt and decided to venture here on a Sunday night. They had quite a few new flavors so asked for a couple of sample cups. I was told they no longer do samples. . And one of the flavors that was on the website for this location was not available. I went ahead and got a few flavors and ended up not liking one of them which would have been avoided had I been able to sample so I wasted some money. I was delighted to see this location FINALLY started letting you dish out your own toppings again!!! This is something that other Yogurtland locations have been letting you do for over a year now! To be honest, I stopped coming as frequently to this location and chose others of theirs for that reason (the staff never seemed happy to add toppings on for you) but I wasn't happy about it either...so I don't blame them! The flavor selection here is always top tier, as they have easily a dozen flavors swirling at a time. Sadly this location is usually one of the last to begin swirling the latest "special" flavor; but it does always eventually come! I appreciate Yogurt Land and I love the variety of yogurt/ice cream flavors as well as the toppings. It definitely got a bit pricey over the years and it's currently at .67 cents an ounce BUT who doesn't deserve a splurge. I like the original yogurt and the Red/White/Blue but lately I've been indulging in their ice cream. Everything taste fresh. Plus the options of the toppings ranges from candy to cereal to chocolate and whipped creams with syrups. It's always clean inside. There's a couple tables outside to sit and enjoy on a nice warm day. The staff super kind and very helpful. Ample parking and street parking available. read more

The yogurt is still fine, but they took away the water cooler! Apparently they are no longer *allowed* to give out water--not even to customers in 94 degree heat. That's just a little ungenerous. People eating frozen yogurt get thirsty. Now because it's hot and non-customers might want water, policing and filling it uses too much labor, so customers can't have it either? I like frozen yogurt. Have since the 80's. Pistachio is my fave alongside mango and no added sugar tart vanilla.

Great place to go for desert. The yogurts are sometimes out of service but taste wise they're all pretty good.

The best Yogurtland I've ever been to! You cannot best 67 cents per ounce!!! The seating is plentiful and the space is fairly large and well designed. They try to keep things clean here too. I love the different flavors that Yogurtland in general offers, especially as many of them tend to be Asian-inspired. Currently on their rotation is boba milk tea and Thai tea. Taste-wise it may be a little too artificial in sweetness for some but I am a fan and enjoy the creamy texture that I've come to love with a swirly froyo. But the original tart is definitely my go-to (I like the sourness and use their sweet toppings to balance out the flavors!). The toppings are fresh, which is critical, because you don't want something that has been sitting out all day on your froyo. They also have the best mochi (at a froyo shop) ever! Always soft and chewy, just the way it should be. My son and I also like their fruit selection, animals cookies, and Hello Pandas (but if you really want to be more cost effective, buy and bring your own snacks to be used as toppings...small pieces of mochi isn't something that's necessarily easy to obtain so for me that's the topping that's definitely worth getting - and it's light in weight too!) What's more is that this location opens until midnight! How amazing is that?! Five stars!!! read more

Literally made a 5 minute B-line down Van Nuys to celebrate some fun news with friends... (Was Yogurtland the new Starbucks...) to this somewhat hidden gem which has parking both in the front and in the back (fun tip) of this quaint mostly foodie plaza, neighbor to Subway, Papa John's and Flame Broiler. Nulling over your flavor options is always fun but for this guy when you only have two non-dairy flavors out of close to 20... I get mildly salty in this sweet tasty paradise, but not for lack of exceptional customer service, superb seating options both in and out door, a variety of topping options or the amazing fruit infuse water for any and all lucky enough to stop in to this soft serve salon. The flavors they do have for the lactose intolerant, non-dairy people and/or vegans of the world are pretty good. The fruit punch is definitely a must. Pretty solid Yogurtland and new super local fav, especially for a social hang. read more

The cashier once attended to me she blew her nose did not wash her hands, and took care of the next customer. When I paid she never asked me for a phone number to see if I had earned pionts. Then comes a homeless man she goes to the feeezer gives him a pint of ice cream for free that she claims she will pay. They're open late - that's a big plus. I've had a little craving for sweets late at night (midnight) so via Uber Eats I order the 160z vanilla with chocolate shell, nuts, and Reese's chopped up pieces. It always arrives very quickly and it's really good and really a lot. The first time I ordered, I got the 24oz. That was obscenely large and I could only eat a third of it. So, the 16oz is much easier. I still can't finish it, but I put what I don't eat in the freezer and have it the next day. It's all very fresh and very tasty and I love the nuts and chocolate shell especially. So, it's not cheap but you do get a lot for your dough. This location is always out of toppings and the fruits are always past their prime. The workers are very indifferent when these concerns are brought up. But what really made us say today is the last day we come here is the fact they no longer offer tastings. We come here for the kids. They now expect you to buy the whole cup and if the kids don't like the flavor it's money in the trash. This is very petty and an extremely cheap move by the owner/s. I've always been a fan of Yogurtland but this location was the worst I've ever been to. The flavors were extremely limited, they were out of plain tart, the pistachio was too icy, and there weren't any sample cups. This isn't even the worst part. You would think after the yogurt you still have your freedom in toppings... The toppings aren't even self serve, and they were out of cookie dough bites. It felt like all the important flavors and toppings were practically missing. My buddy tried to get the student discount (which they offer) and they tried to say he wasn't a student as he was wearing a sweater from his school. Would give ZERO if I could as well as my potential COVID medical bills! Run in the opposite direction!! Tonight I drove 15 min out of my way to pick up Froyo that I've been consistently getting throughout quarantine. When I arrived, I saw a couple walking in so I decided to stay in my car until they had paid. I noticed that the couple had their masks below their noses despite there being signs explicitly requiring them above your nose. I cautiously decided to enter after having made the trip only to them watch the employee allow the couple to be reach over with their bare hands, under the glass, and covid plastic barriers to grab some spoons. New customers then walked in, again well below their noses. Feeling wildly unsafe, I ditched waiting in line to pull out of the car park only to see the couple EATING their yogurts with their mask FULLY DOWN IN FRONT OF THE EMPLOYEE. I was so floored i had to take a picture of the woman eating AT THE REGISTER. I really never would be the type to go out of my way to harm a business or cause an issue, particularly one I'ive loved for so long, but when it's a global pandemic and lives are at stake, accountability must be taken. The best of all is the variety of ice creams that you find there and you can combine and finally add your favorite accessories. This Yogurtland has a larger dining area than most. I went here after 11pm on the weekend, and there were a few customers coming in at that time. I was looking for a place that was adjacent to other places that were open late so that I could walk around and eat. Unfortunately, there is zero potential for that here. So, I came here on a limb after taking my friend to pick up her car. Let me start by saying that the staff deserves 5/5 for their friendliness. After coming to this location for several years, I understand that a lot of my 3-star rating is based on the busy area of this place. It's located by a big recreational park and in a suburb-y area. Which means, a lot of people are passing through here. So location wise, I am sure that this place is making a killing for how much foot traffic it gets from suburbian, soccer moms bringing their children here after school. However, this is not that good for the cleanliness of this place. Usually, it isn't that bad but you know, like I said before, a lot of people are passing through here. Even with them cleaning this place it's got that muggy, moppy thing going on about this place. Today, the machines were absolutely not clean at all. Puddles of yogurt juice in the trays, machines out of order, and some machines that didn't have an out of order sign, but when I went to hold down the nozzle, all that came out was a watery, syrup-y substance. I was grossed out and tried to get out of there asap. Now please keep in mind that I did come at 4 pm which is probably prime time for children after school and their extracurricular activities. I debated on taking pictures, but I didn't want to be an absolute douchebag. It doesn't always look like that, I'd say a majority of the time it's well presented. It's located in a shopping complex on Van Nuys and Addison. The front lot is small, but there usually is parking in the back. Sometimes tandem parking, so I've never had a problem parking but it can get busy. That being said, I love frozen yogurt. I love the toppings they have and their water dispensers filled with fruit and their unlimited small cup days. However, if I had a choice to go to Menchies or here, it would be Menchies. I guess to consumers like me who don't have kids, I would avoid ALL yogurt places during the busy after school rush. Menchies too. But over time, Yogurtland's yogurt quality has dropped - it's a little too watery. I'm sorry Yogurtland. I don't really know what you could do to help this situation, maybe add an extra staff member during the busy hours to keep the place clean and the machines clean as well. They don't have that many flavors to begin with, but every time I've been here, some of the machines weren't working so my options were reduced even further. I like my yogurt on the more frozen side and this location has only delivered that with one flavor, the original tart. Everything else is melted and too soft. The parking lot looks deceivingly small but there's actually a huge lot behind the entire plaza, just make sure to turn in on the second opening instead of the first. read more

I was headed over to the new Teriyaki place next door, but since it was 90 degrees today I thought that I would first stop in here and buy a yogurt. I wanted a chocolate and vanilla mix, but I found that they did not have any chocolate yogurt at all, just chocolate ice cream. That was my first disappointment. Opened the door was not greeted, instead was dogged down by this one girl tall skinny black hair I think she had a noise piercing and her name might have been Jocelyn or started with a J.. not 100%sure!
