We came here for our last breakfast and the food was incredible. Amazing portions, great prices and the ambience is very nice. We each ordered different meals and loved everything. I got the countryside skillet which in itself is huge but you also get a english muffin, pancake or toast along with it. I also ordered a side of corn beef hash to share with my fiancé and I couldn't even eat it till the next day because their portions are so big which is pretty awesome but don't go crazy ordering. To go with my food I got their cold brew drink special they had going on and they also was tasty. The customer service was lacking with our server but the manager took note of this and really fixed our experience and we left on a great note. I highly suggest for breakfast. read more

I was super excited to open Yelp and see that there was an entire restaurant based on eggs! If you know anything about me, you'll know I love eggs. This place was cute with the egg theme and hints of yellow everywhere that really brightened the mood on a blistering cold day. After mulling over the menu, I decided on pot roast Benedict on English muffins after our waitress recommended it to me. The eggs came out perfectly as you would expect a Benedict to be. The portions here are large, and I wish I had a bigger stomach! Our waitress also recommended the toffee Nutella mocha, which was only recommended seasonally. Honestly, it was the best idea ever. I was surprised at how large the cup came out on be too! I only took one star off because I didn't know they had a seasonal menu for drinks until the waitress recommended it, and it would have been nice to peruse. I also took off one star because I feel like much of the menu was more complicated than it had to be. They have a spacious dining room including booths for two people which I miss at busy and popular brunch spots. On arrival we were greeted promptly for seating. The menu as their name suggests has amazing options for an egg lover. My husband loved the perfectly tasty omelette, scrambled eggs, and french toast. The fruits were fresh. The drip coffee refills were generous. Their staff does a great job at checking on you. Most important win for me was the fact that menu was customizable and I could skip eggs. I'll just start with reviewing Lana. She was an excellent server; very pleasant and very efficient. I had the traditional eggs Benedict with seasoned potatoes. The eggs Benedict was perfection! The season potatoes when I added the Yolk house brand habanero hot sauce was drool worthy! My friend had the southwest scrambler skillet that was eggs, chorizo, onions, pepper jack cheese, and more in a hot skillet with a side of super fluffy large pancakes. It looked amazing and she said it tasted delicious. The house coffee is also a must get here. I drink my coffee black and this coffee did not disappoint. I used the Yelp waitlist to reserve a spot in line and got there as we were close to being next to be seated. Service could have been a little better. Our waiter seemed very out of it, sleep deprived, overworked, something as he wasn't the most focused tentative person. I had to make sure he got the order correctly because of this. There was a guy who seemed to be in charge to getting chairs for various parties and he was very rude about taking the chairs. He definitely could have asked a lot nicer. The food is fantastic. I got the Very Berry French Toast as a Yolk All Star Combo which came with 2 eggs any style, 2 sausage links, 2 slices of bacon and choice of 2 pancakes, 2 crepes, 2 slices of french toast, or a half waffle. The Very Berry French Toast was a $3 upgrade and definitely worth the upgrade. My gf got the California Omelet which was pretty decent as well. She got it with potatoes and pancakes and it was more than enough to be a complete meal. Overall it was a pretty good experience besides some of the service. The omelette and pancakes were just lacking in taste. No matter how much ketchup, salt and pepper I added, it just remained with a bland taste. Similarly with the pancakes. The pancakes were dry and lacking in fluff. The home fries were okay. They could've been cooked a bit long as many of the pieces were soft although it did have 'some' good flavor. Overall, I wouldn't rush to this place if visiting. If you happen to need a breakfast fix because you're nearby than this place would suffice. Location: By this being on 11th & Michigan It is right before you officially enter the loop so we didn't have to worry about the downtown traffic. There is also a parking garage that offers a validated price for Yolk. Staff: The staff was wonderful!
