This is a strip mall kind of place but it is nicely decorated and the service was attentive. My absolute favorite dish which I would give five stars was their Korean fried chicken. It had a nice crispy outside and was basted with sweet chili sauce. The serving size was huge. As a matter of fact, all of the servings here definitely allow you to have leftovers. Strangely satisfying was the Dduk Bok Ki. The menu called them rice cakes but they are more like solid cylinders of noodles coated in a chili sauce. The menu says they are popular Street food. I had to hold myself back because I could have overdone these! I am not sure why they are so appealing because they are really a simple food. If you're craving some jja jjang myun (black bean noodle) or jjambbong (spicy noodle soup), this is the spot in Aurora. Once you step inside, you'll instantly think, "This is bigger than I thought." Once your food arrives, you'll instantly think, "This is bigger than I thought." Once you start eating, you'll think, "This is in the upper tier of jja jjang myun or jjambbong that I've ever had." It might not be the best you've had in your life, but it's not far from it. The service here is friendly and fast. The interior is clean and comfortable, nothing fancy. If you're unfamiliar with some of the dishes, there are pictures on the wall to help guide you. You can also get a ton of food by getting one of the combos, one of which comes with jja jjang myun, jjam bbong, and tang soo yuk (sweet and sour pork). It's a great way to gorge on a ton of food with a friend for less than $30. There are a few good choices for JJM and JB in Aurora, but this is my personal favorite. read more

I've been here a couple of times with my foodie gf and it has always been decent. Both times, we ordered the meal. It comes with a huge seafood noodle soup. It has tons of seafood and it is quite spicy and red. Next was the salty black bean noodles with some bits of pork. It's one of my gf's favorite dishes. It's flavorful but I would like some more meat......but I love meat. First time, for the third dish, I got the pork katsu type of dish. Crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. Second time, I got a sweet and sour pork type of dish. I believe the pork katsu was better. The cost for the 3 dish meal combo was only around $24 which was great value. Came here twice. Friends recommended this place for champon ( seafood udon soup). Huge portion size and lots of noodles. The soup was lacking in flavor. All I could taste was the spicy red pepper powder. This is a spicy noodle so don't order if you can't tolerate the heat. I don't think they could tone down the spicy level. read more

The restaurant is nestled in a little strip mall (the telltale sign a restaurant is legit in my opinion) and next to a korean bbq restaurant as well. We had a pretty big delivery order for Carry out close to closing time, and the owners were very friendly and still provided top notch service. We ended up ordering the jjambong (korean seafood spicy noodle/soup dish), tangsooyok (deep batter fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce, the korean fried chicken and fried rice. The jjambong had a generous amount of variety of seafood including musses and shrimp, but I felt the broth was not as savory or flavorful as it could be. The korean fried chicken and tangsooyok were delicious! Overall a solid restaurant for anyone craving the korean-chinese cuisine that usually isn't available in smaller cities. read more

I love my mom's home cooking, but this is the place she likes to come when she's feeling lazy. The service has improved immensely, and the food is almost always on par. The food usually comes out pretty quickly, too! Most of the noodle dishes here are good because they pull the noodles in house, so they're going to be a lot more fresh than other places. If you're new to Korean/Chinese cuisine and you are a Vegetarian, you can opt to get the Gan Jja Jang with no meat. Most of the other noodles dishes are prepared with beef/chicken broth. I usually get the Vegetable Gan Jja Jang or Vegetable Fried Rice. The fried rice is on the oily side (and sometimes salty side), but it really depends on the day... If you're going to get fried rice, I would highly suggest asking for Jja Jang (black bean) sauce on the side and eating it together! Trust me, you won't regret it. Update: they recently added a Jja Jang Ddukbokki and it is amazinggg. It's the spicy rice cake dish with the black bean sauce with ramen noodles too!! We ordered pahl-bo-chae and kung pao shrimp for take out, totaling over $40. First, with the pahl be chae, there was hardly any seafood, the mussels were tiny cheap ones, but although with cheap ingredients like veggies and squid, i will give them the fact that portion size was good.m as for the kung pao shrimp, wow, portion was smaaaaaalll! Especially for the price. Additionly.... They did not even give us any rice! We called to let them know that we did not get any rice.... Theyre response was "we do not serve rice with main dishes" WHAAAAAAT?!!?!??!?! Then she continues to say, "but if you asked we wouldve gave you some". Again..... WHAAAAAAAT?!?!!?!?!?! A nice roomy restaurant full of surprises. Described as korean/chinese, but more of a japanese/korean place. A great place for a large party or just a causal date. My group of 21 people stopped by after finding out a restaurant near by was closed. We just happened to stumble upon this place, and I'm so glad we did! The food was good. The ddubokki had a great taste, but the sauce was a little too watery. Nevertheless, it's something I would still order next time! The japchae was AMAZING. That familiar Korean taste of this dish totally hit home. No one in my group complained about a single thing. The food came out timely, and everything was delicious. We were all wowed to have accidentally come to such a wonderful restaurant! Yummy food. I'm definitely coming back here when I get the chance. Ah so glad to have found this little spot. Big portions, reasonable prices, and yummy delicious Korean/Chinese food. Mostly Korean so if you want real Chinese food, not your spot to go. Came here because I'm a sucker for jjajang meon (black bean noodles). And my husband ddukboki. And I have to say this place does it right. I recommend getting the jjajang ddukboki. It's a little different than traditional ddukboki, but it has a fiery kick to it. Plus for $10 you get a big plate with two hard boiled eggs, ramen noodles, and rice noodle. Definitely filling as is. Don't worry it's not as spicy as I make it sound. The jjajang meon noodles are on point here. You can tell its home made hand pulled noodles because of the fact you have to use scissors to cut the noodles. Otherwise you'll just make a huge mess and trust me. Black bean sauce is hard to get out. Perfect texture noodles and with the perfect amount of sauce. Though I wish they would slice a bit more cucumbers into the dish. Service was nice, friendly and attentive. They did speak a lot of Korean to each other (at least you know you're getting legit Korean food). But then I came in around 2:30 on a Monday afternoon. The first visit here; I was nervous since it was a new place but I LOVED it. Once you entered the setting is cozy, I feel the homey-ness of the layout. The seating arrangements r cute and the waitress allowed us to pick wherever we'd like to sit, which is nice if you have a strong preference. She also greeted us and she was the only server so it was very cute and sweet. The food was great, portions were more than enough, the time for it to be cook wasn't so bad of a wait, and the service was awesome. Having someone aid you but not always lingering around every few minutes is nice because you can just eat with your company, or alone. The size of the bowl was extremely big (same size as the largest mixing bowl I own) but I was able to eat about 75% of the noodles and 30% of the broth. A weird ingredient in the neng myun was the shredded chicken pieces. The chicken tasted fine, but I have never seen chicken in any of the hundreds of bowls of neng myun I have eaten. The only thing that this neng myun lacked was Asian Pears. There was only one thin slice of pear in my 3 gallon bowl of neng myun. The "tang su yuk" sweet and sour pork came on enormous platter. It was huge that we weren't able to finish it and there were 7 of us at the table! I am not a huge fan of this dish to begin with (and I rarely eat it) so I don't know really how it compares to tang su yuk. However the sweet pineapple pieces came in handy because my mouth was on fire after having two bites of my cousins jjamp bbong (Spicy seafood noodles). A long time ago on Yelp, I had brought up the subject of Korean-Chinese cooking with a look at P & Y Cafe in Aurora. Today, I'd like to delve into the cuisine a bit more with the help of another Aurora eatery, Yong Gung at the intersection of Havana and Evans. One thing I should probably explain first is that at a Korean-Chinese restaurant you will not receive the large selection of Banchan (side dishes) you might be expecting. Instead, just three sides will be presented to you. These are - bright yellow pickled daikon radish (Danmuji); the now-legendary fermented cabbage called Kimchi; and a bowl of sliced raw white onions (which may or may not be accompanied by a bit of Chunjang (black bean paste) to make things a bit less tear-inducing). Speaking of beans, a cornerstone of classic Korean-Chinese cuisine is Jjajangmyeon. Based upon the Beijing noodle dish Zha Jiang Mian, the Korean counterpart also consists of noodles with a rich bean (in this case black beans) and pork sauce. As its name might suggest, the chicken-in-sweet-chili sauce offering Ra Jo Gi is similarly influenced by the dried-chili-festooned Sichuan stunner popularly known as La Zi Ji. They're both spicy, but in different ways. Want more? Well, of course you do. Did you know that the proper Chinese collective name for sweet 'n' sour dishes is Tang Cu? And with that revelation, it's probably not hard to guess the focus of another signature Korean-Chinese recipe, Tangsuyuk. Why yes, it's a tangier, (somewhat) lighter rendition of the sweet 'n' sour pork made famous at Chinese hotspots all over the world (some places even do it with beef, a most in-demand meat on the Korean Peninsula). The at-times-incendiary pork/seafood/noodle broth Jjamppong is especially interesting history-wise, as it's directly based on a much milder soup from southern Japan (Champon) which itself has its origins in traditional Chinese noodle specialties. Oh, and on a more whimsical note, Yong Gung (sometimes also referred to by its translated name, Dragon Palace) has eggrolls too! So anyway, before this review really starts sounding like an attempt at a textbook, why not pay them a visit today? read more

Black bean sauce noodles ( jajangmyeon), is flavorful. My daughter gave it a thumbs up. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the chewiness is appreciated. The young man who greeted me has a friendly welcoming presence. The lighting is a bit dark for me but for couples it would be a nice place to have date night. Order there combo A which come with jajangmyeon, jjamppong and tang su yuk. I'm a jjamppong person over jajangmyeon. I like them both I just prefer the spicy soup. This place tho make a really great jajangmyeon that I actually prefer more than the jjamppong. There jjamppong was good too but I had better. The jajangmyeon was one of the top 5 best I had. The only downfall was It didn't come with kimchi and of course I didn't ask. It came with plenty of chop onion and pickle yellow radish. I'm a California girl who live in Colorado part time. My mom and I frequent this spot. I always get the ja-jiang-myeon and my mom always get the don-katsu. The food comes out super quick and is fast and affordable, not to mention how tasty it is! The food is also clean and well-made. It seems as though they actually cared about each ingredient, each spice, and condiments that went into every dish. Craved Asian food while on my trip and found this Korean Chinese place near my hotel. I got the Korean black bean noodles and sweet and sour pork. Love the Black been sauce! Noodles are nice and chewy. Paired with the sweet and sour pork = Heaven. They package all the sauces, noodles, and meat separately for to-go orders so they don't get soggy. To be honest, it's good but definitely not worth eleven dollars and change especially for the canned vegetables and frozen baby shrimps in it. When I was paying the server I noticed they were microwaving a big bowl of rice. I asked her why they do that and she said it's ok because it was from yesterday.
