Some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. It is so fresh. A little on the pricy side, but worth it.

Five stars for the quality and taste of the food. I tried the specialty roll, fried rice, and chicken cutlet, double dragon roll, pikachu roll and california roll. All of them were absolutely amazing. I suggest to try the fried rice with either yami yami sauce or the spicy mayo. If you would like to try any sushi or sashimi, they have a list (different every day) on the freshest fish. read more

Went last Friday and there was line out the door. Took a few minutes to be seated but was quickly greeted by a server once at the table. Had the dumplings and they were delicious, sake to compliment. Sushi taste better than average. Service well if you can't say anything nice don't say it at all. We are locals and eat here a lot. Unfortunately the service has become incompetent and Portions are becoming smaller,which is typically an indicator that the business is suffering. Now we search again for that sushi bar that doesn't read its press clipping. read more

We stopped in for sushi rolls. Canton and dragon rolls were excellent! Fried calamari really fresh. Nice owner and a nice date place. Alcohol (sake) very reasonably priced. This review is only based on price. I live north of Yoon and I'm going to drive past it to Sushiology because Yoon's A LA Carte price menu is ridiculous. I want 4 pieces of hamachi, 4 pieces of Akami, and 4 pieces of Sake. That's $60 for 16 pieces of sushi. At Sushiology that would cost about $30. Yoon, how is it you can sell 10 pieces of Hamachi Sashimi for $22.99, but because I want rice it's $33.75? And, I don't want to buy Sashimi in bundles of 3. It's too bad, the people are nice. I'll wave as I drive by. I'll pay $200 for dinner tonight at Sushiology. It would be a fortune at Yoon. read more

I love this place!! I used to work a few doors down at Viva Mexico so some nights I would walk down to Yoon Sushi and treat myself to some California Tempura (which is insanely delicious!). I work somewhere else now so I haven't been able to visit as much but the last time I went, the nice lady at the front recognized me AND my order!! We were in the mood for Sushi on a weekday evening around 6 so we decided to try Yoon out. There was not a wait and we found a seat right away. Staff was friendly and the seating is limited but wasn't an issue for us. On a busy weekend night I can see that changing. We had the Ginger Salad, Canton Roll, Idol Roll, Smoked Salmon Onigiri and my son had the Beef Fried Rice. Everything was delicious and super fresh! Sushi presentation was spot on and we will be back for more! Was a little pricier for the rolls but worth it! read more

Love this sushi place but it has recently gotten very expensive, lunch now cost atleast $15 for lunch sushi. Most other sushi spots are closer to $10. I'll continue to come but just not as much as before. UPDATE: Went back in again to give them another try and I was surprised that they went up again in price. Lunch now will cost you $20 for a bento box with the yukky stuff, for the good stuff you'll pay more. So here I reside, in the toothless wonder capital of the world otherwise known as Canton. We out here in these parts don't have a lot to go on, but we do speak Cantonese and we have a really nice sushi bar called Yoon Sushi. Make no mistake about it, my friends, I am NOT your typical have to eat sushi three times a week kinda guy, but I have acquired a taste for it and am really very impressed with this place. If I leave thinking to myself that I should've got another roll to go, then you have to know that it was damn good. I really love the look of the place inside. It looks very trendy and it's quite a breather from the mom and pop typical boon-dock shops up here. Don't get me wrong, we do have tons of chain restaurants, but even they are filled with sweet tea drinking, tobacci spittin toothless wonders. This place actually took the time to get the lighting perfectly with very nice table-top aesthetics. Now for the only bad part... I'm not sure that this is nice to say or not, but when I have a very country accented girl wait on me in a sushi shop, it kind of distracts from the whole theme, ya know? Not only was she out of place in how she spoke, but it seemed as if she really didn't want to be there at all. Also, unfortunately, she screwed my order up by not bringing me my appetizer before the entrees like I expected and requested. If you are ever driving through these here parts and are in the mood for some really good sushi, do stop here. I would stay away from Sally's section (real name omitted for discretion of said individual) and just sit at the actual bar. read more

6 months ago, I would have rated this 5 stars. But service has seriously gone downhill. The last time we were there, I ordered a combination (sushi and a roll), and asked to NOT include a particular piece of fish that I just didn't want to eat, and to also sub out the roll for another. I expected the charge (it's usually $1-2) to do so. But what I got on the bill, was a charge for $2 for leaving the one piece of sushi off the plate (you'd think they'd appreciate not wasting their fish) and $3 for the sub (the original roll and the sub'd roll are only $2 difference in price). I thought they'd priced it wrong. When I asked the waitress about the charges, she said she'd 'check with the manager'. She came back a few minutes later, she said 'the big manager is here tonight, we have to charge for everything, otherwise we wouldn't". I asked her to again confirm, that she was charging me $2 to leave a piece of fish off of my plate. She stared at me blankly and said yes. I repeated how disappointed I was, and that in light of this, I doubted that I would come back, and would certainly not recommend it to friends. She continued to stare blankly and let us pay and walk out the door. I know it doesn't seem like much, but $5 in extra charges, when I would have just ordered everything separately had I known up front. read more

I've eaten at Yoon at least 12-15 times. Years ago it was great. Then the owners seemed to make some bad hiring decisions. I don't want a white kid with neck tattoos making my sushi. This place is so incredibly inconsistent it's out of this world. When we first started going there it was AMAZING! But now it's terrible. The sushi when it's good it's amongst the best you will ever have. But the last 4 orders have been so screwed up. They either give you the wrong sushi, cut it so thick it's inedible or just plain don't send part of your order. This last time the sushi was great.. but they sent it along with absolutely no wasabi or ginger and forgot 2 whole dishes. I've given them plenty of chances . Never going back. I was elated to find a good sushi restaurant and in all places Canton, GA. I have dined in twice, but I prefer to take-out. I highly recommend the cucumber salad, ruby sashimi, tuna tataki, crunchy spicy tuna maki, spicy lobster tempura maki, philly maki, and the ebi tempura maki. I have never had a bad food experience here. Everything that I have tried has been delicious! I do agree with the others' comments regarding the staff. I have been here about 5-10 times, seems like I go here on average 2 times a year. If I would have reviewed this place before I moved to Atlanta almost 2 years ago, this place might have squeezed out a 5 star rating. The décor is really nice, bamboo everywhere. They even have an aquarium in the bar. This kind of attitude is foreign to the Canton area. One thing you will have to get past though is the "not so Asian work staff" not that it's a problem or anything, but you may have to listen to gossip and things of that nature on a slow night, and being Canton, you will have your fair share of those. read more

We just visited last night with our daughter to celebrate her recent graduation and I have to say service has improved 500%! We were greeted and seated quickly, tables around us were cleared efficiently and we never saw the bottom of our hot tea cups. Yoon Sushi is an amazing gem in Canton! The prices are extremely reasonable and the quantity is appealing! I eat here whenever I'm in the area and want sushi! My favorites are the Canton Roll and the Atlanta Falcon Roll. Most specialty rolls are around $13! I LOVE and ADORE the chicken fried rice!
