We took them home, but every time we opened the fridge the smell hit us, so they ultimately went in the trash. Despite this particular experience, we've always enjoyed this place. Service is consistently great, drinks are solid, and we usually leave happy. Hoping this was just an off evening, because we genuinely like coming here. My wife says one of the wines she likes is a little less than other stops, so that's good. But other drink prices tend to be on the high side as well, but most in town have higher liquor prices. That adds up if you like to frequent a place. Hence, we stopped frequenting. Overall, I like the decor and as noted, the food is decent. The upstairs is better than the downstairs but I'm glad they have the downstairs for some occasion when they could get busy. As for the Tavern / entertainment element, I've never seen any live music but they have several TVs. Not sure this would be my top choice to watch a game but it would work in a pinch if the other places were too busy or noisy.

DO NOT WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE. They are absolutely horrible to their wait staff and kitchen staff. They take 30% of your tips as well as collect the sushi tips from the tip jar that sits on the sushi bar. They will call you stupid and scream at you in front of the customers, throw things at you and make you work under harsh conditions: I.e. Making you get two inches of water out of the ice box with nothing but a rag you must ring out 100 times and your hands. My hands were purple by the time I was done doing this. The kitchen is not nearly as clean as you would think either, I have seen several cockroaches in their kitchen. They also prioritize their customers. They know who will spend $300 and who will spend $40. Don't expect your food on time if you are not a regular. Do not expect exceptional or sometimes even acceptable service if you're not spending big bucks or you aren't a regular. They do not actually care about their customers. They want your money that's it. They are giving you free shots so you will spend more money once you've become very intoxicated. They have STATED this. They have also had some of the same kitchen utensils that have been there for over 2 years and are falling apart/ not acceptable to use. There are things in that kitchen that have not been properly cleaned in years. The pretty wooden decoration they put on your plate does not get washed until the end of the night. Servers/ kitchen staff go in and out of this place like there is no tomorrow because of how horribly and unfairly they are treated. The servers will steal your tables left and right and the sushi chef/ wife will allow this to happen for lack of not wanting to deal with it. I urge you to not apply here. You will be no exception. read more

I came to Yoon Sushi with my family last night and had another wonderful meal. The food was excellent and fresh as always and the amount you get is great! The owners are always present and helpful when I have questions or want to try something new. There has never been another restaurant I have been to where the owners are there to greet you when you walk in and tell you goodbye each and every time for each and every customer. This is a place where the owner takes great pride in his work and it is not a typical sushi restaurant where they churn out subpar sushi fast. It takes a little more time but the quality and presentation shows just how much hard work Brad puts into his restaurant. If you are looking for a nice relaxing and enjoyable experience at a nice pace this is the place for you. If you are looking for McD's pace well...it won't be here and that is a good thing! read more

Total fail again. The first time we visited was several months ago. We waited over an hour (maybe even 2) to be served 2 rolls of sushi and a side of fried rice. There were no apologies. Last night was the 2nd try. We ordered takeout. A 1-person portion of very dry terriyaki chicken, tiny side of cabbage with a few carrots and tiny broccoli pieces, and a tiny bit of rice with a small ginger salad was...get this...$18.99 This is what they call a "full" terriyaki chicken. The "half" must be for a toddler. I cannot believe they won any type of award for anything. The sushi was mediocre. I cannot believe I paid $40 for 2 people to eat and neither one of us were left feeling satisfied at all. I really just want a refund. At least for the horrible terriyaki chicken meal.
